Although I will admit, the idea appealed to me for a split second. I've been fluffying my feathers like a peacock about how awesome I think my characters turned out, so if I could easily get an image of them, I might consider it.

As it is, any snapshots I'd take are of my tv, and that just looks like arse.

Same here, I'm thinking of going to my friends house kicking him off his pc, remake my character on his game.:innocent:

Are you playing on console ?

Yep, ps3, too bad my bro took the best Pc at home with him when his fleet left for Dubai. (sighs) I miss TW & TW2.:(

Not me I play on computer. I don't even own one of the many console game machines for which are currently out.

In my first playthrough, I used the mace of Molag Bal and Volendrung for quite a while; does that count?

Yep! On paper, that may be the best, or among the best Mauls in the game; one of two listed as fast as a Greatsword.

Why did you quit using it? What 2H weapons were deemed better (besides personal Enchantments)?

While I prefer a PC over consoles, it is because I lack console skils to play most games on them. But as I understand, all those beautiful vids seen pre-launch that sold me on the game were from a console, and the PC was simply a second thought (some launch quirks may have been linked to confirm this).

I gave them to Ghorbash the Iron Hand (my follower), because he seemed to use them more effectively than I was (I missed my mark a lot). That, and I hadn't quite perfected how to increase the damage output on them through smithing/improving.

I actually know what I'm doing now, so once I acquire them in this playthrough, I will probably keep them in my arsenal for a while. They're pretty awesome.

Me personally never cared for 2handed weapons to be honest with you. Especially in Skyrim. I think you've got more flexibility with a 1handed due to be able to use your choice of shield, spell or another 1handed weapon in the other hand.

I stopped playing my 2H Orc for a while to take up the increased challenge of a new Mage-Archer; a Dark Elf.

Had to stop playing the last attempt at a Mage as it was taking me forever to kill things. So I figure if I add Archery, then I can kill at any distance. And then maybe if successful, try a pure Mage again.

That's more or less where I was coming from. My first character was quite confused; she started off being a mage, then a battlemage. I typically had her use a mace or sword in one hand, and a healing spell in the other...although I tried dual wielding, and just couldn't get the hang of it. Something about it just seemed off to me.

...however, I'm all about the greatswords in this playthrough. My Nord married an Argonian, is siding against the Stormcloaks, and carries a big arse sword.  I guess if I really wanted to go against the grain, she'd have been a Nord mage, like Onmund.

Trying 2H was based on all the fun I had from the DA series, and posted notes from Yrkoon. That, and reading somewhere that one saw more criticals with 2H weaponry.

However, while finding several fine blades in the game, there are very few unique 2H weapons listed. And as I am not a fan of Elemental Fury Shout, was seeking something to add interest to my raging Orc. There are only so many NPC's one can kill, after all....

^ I still haven't used Elemental Fury. I'm totally in love with Marked for Death. If you haven't tried it, DO!

It's nice, because it causes armor damage and a health drain. I noticed that when I started using it on Elder Dragons, that the city guards could take it down in just a few arrow shots. Quite handy, indeed.

I bought mine for PC, but from what I hear, the Xbox version got all the love.  Apparently the UI is  smooth as silk-intuitive for Xbox.  Wish I could say the same for PC.

For example. I decided to play a "jack-of-all-trades" character for my latest playthrough.  He's a Fire-based Dunmer who uses a bow, a two-handed weapon,   And spells.  Interchangeably.    And while I'm having more fun with him than my previous 2 characters, switching from bows to greatswords to the different spells  can be a complete pain in the ass.  Way too many steps involving both the mouse and the keyboard.

I swear, the Forbidden Legend quest took me longer than it should have. The lore makes it seem like The Gauldur Amulet was uber, but it's pathetic, it only increases health, magicka, stamina by 30. If it increased those stats by 100 then i would've been pleased. oh well at least i got the quest removed from my active quests log.

Well now I'll have to admit that you totally went against the grain on this play through didn't you? I mean a Nord married to an aronian that must be quite the site to see there.<G> How many heads turned at the church with that matrimony?Image IPB And to top it all of you go against your brethren. I'm surprised you weren't run out of Skyrim for such things.Image IPB

She already explained it a few pages back. It works because her husband in real life is an Argonian.

I couldn't agree with you in regards to the Amulet being more for a lower level character than that of a high level one. But will have to admit that the batlles are pretty good.

That's what I was going for. There goes the neighborhood. Image IPB

I was amused at who showed up at the wedding - Aela, Jenassa, Balimund, and that drunk guy from Whiterun (Brenuin). He must have been really happy about that Argonian Ale!

I'll say they neighborhood went straight to h*** with that marriage. Did you also move into the house in Windhelm? Or have you had the chance to purchase that one yet?

That's next on my list! I haven't actually started the CW quest line (or bought Hjerim - the second part of the Blood on the Ice quest still hasn't activated), but it's only because I've been working on TG and DB quests to get my 100,000 septim achievement. I'm getting close!

Honestly, it would be nice if people noticed, but they nobody has said anything. *sniffle*

I usually play a fighter/thief type character as I don't really care for spells. But I think that this next play through I might try using some spells for the experience and to at least say that I gave them a try. Now you know you've got 9 quick slots for which you can use as you feel fit don't you? And with the click of one key you can quickly change things up. Heck I go from using my bow to dual wielding to drinking potions without having to leave the main screen. Unless of course I want or need to change somethings.

I can't even imagine what it's like to play Skyrim on a PC. It can be complicated enough with a controller, but to throw in a keyboard and mouse? Props to all of you.

I've been impressed with the lack of lock-ups (knock on wood) on the XBox version. My average has been around one lockup per 50-60 hours. Not bad for Bethesda. I played Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas, and Oblivion on PS3, and not a day went by where I wasn't weaving a tapestry of profanity because the stupid game had locked up. Repeatedly. I spent more time rebooting than I did playing.

It's probably because I'm on level 81, but i wish the amulet was leveled. Though my favorite fight was against Sigdis, fighting a zombie-archer-ninja whose uses shadow clones was awesome.
