Well now never thought of using that one in places like that there. Thanks for the tip.

It may not help in the worst storms, but will remove snow and falling ice from the vicinity in most situations to aid archery quite a bit. And some of the more memorable sunsets and sunrises were seen during these occasions; maybe just coincidence....

Well now like I said I'm going to have to check it out and use it allot more than what I do. As it's one of the shouts for which I use the least. That might change though.<LOL>

Is Stormcall bugged? I've seen radically conflicting reports on it. Some people saying that they can wipe out whole villages with it. Me, I've never hurt *anything* with it, even at level 3 power. Not Dragons, not Thalmor, not Foresworn. Not even Mudcrabs. Seriously, I used it one time against a small pack of mudcrabs. Lightning even HIT one of them. It's health didn't move.
Rule of Thumb: if it can't hurt a friggin Mudcrab, it's useless. So don't waste your time. lol
It has a rather small aoe centered on caster at the moment of cast. Doesn't seem to do anything to targets outside it's effect radius (even though there are storm visuals, lightning strikes). But on Master, level 49, did short work of 3 Riften
guards (which seemed to be levelled). That's not bad in my book.

Elemental Fury is great, it ups your damage to pretty high levels for the duration.
It has the potential to be great, but it depends on the character, really. I used to love it on my two-handed character when I first found it. But later I started to mainly kill things with charging power attacks. It's not very usefull if you just need 1-2 power attacks... and pretty much all your attacks are power attacks.
I guess it will also be less usefull for my current mage who mainly uses sneak attacks (+calm/run).

BTW I need to correct myself- the moneymaker potion is not giant's toe and blisterwort, but giant's toe + wheat. It's a Fortify Health potion and can get you 700-1000 gold if you've got alchemy and speech perks.
Had a rather majestic sunset dragon fight near Dawnstar. I didn't get a good aerial shot, but while the dragon was arcing around in the air and my summon and I were lobbing fireballs off into the horizon, it looked pretty impressive.

Every once in a while you've got to stop to smell the brimstone.

I saw THE coolest thing I've seen in the game so far yesterday...I was out and about at night and there was an Aurora over the night-sky! This; like FO:NV, is one of those Games where I'm spending time just looking at a lot of the terrain and buildings and such.

In most cases the cooldowns on the shouts are too great for them to be anything more than the occasional gimmick. They're just slightly above racial powers in usefulness.Joy Divison wrote...
In general I find some underwhelming (especialy the breathes), but you are seriously underestimating the usefulness of some of these.
Throw voice is great bc/ it lets you sneak wo/ having to put all your perks in it.
Once you get 2nd disarm, it renders otherwise dangerous leveled bandits harmless.
Kyne's peace is great when you are 8th level and get ambushed by a sabre tooth tiger who would otherwise two-shot you.
Unrelenting force lets you win fights against leveled bosses like briarhearts who would two-shot you.
Ice form ends any threat from a high level mage.
I can't imagine Vivec ever needing to have stuffed an ancient Tongue's mouth with his milk-finger and/or Muatra if the Tongue has to wait a minute until (s)he can shout again.
Even the Greybeards pose no threat at all, contrary to the lore, if you attack them. If not for them being marked essential, they fall as easily as any mook.

And he was too high lvl for this single word Shout to inflict Fear, but it was still quite effective.
If only a single Shout is needed (or a single trap, Spell, potion, rtc), then I would say that cooldowns might not be the top priority; simply choose the right tool for the right task.

I know what you mean , i love the way they have done the water .
The water, the sky, the interiors...They're pretty amazing!
I actually started to hope things would look this way while I was playing New Vegas...there were a lot of things visually in that Game that I had a good feeling were going to make their way into Skyrim.

Oh yes. Which is why I like purchasing a certain home in a certain imperial city, because it has a balcony overlooking the water and the views of the Aurora on the horizon from it are stunning.Deathwurm wrote...

By the way, here's what you have to look forward to later on at night, after the Auroras go away:

And a quick subject change, this is my old Orc Warrior trying to climb the shrine of Mehrunes Dagon:

LOL. Just wait until you marry Muiri and hear her thank you for solving her "problem" for the millionth time in a row. You'll be wishing you'd stuck with Camilla real soon after that.

yea car your right call of the dragon is awsome! but its only good when you use it to fight other dragons for you.
Or when attacking Forts, ruins, towers, etc. when full of opposing forces. Of course, it is quite entertaining to solo all of these, also.
Thus far, the only companions used have been those that the game forces me to take; can't stand the shoving, blocking, rushing ahead AI. This needs some work for future games, IMO.
