Yeah I have to say I stopped doing random jobs after completing the quest line. It was tiresome and immersion breaking to have Vex and Delvin still act like she was a noob and a bothersome one at that. Everyone in the Flagon started to annoy me. Vex, Tonilia... FUS RO DAH, you cranky wenches. The guys in the cistern were still friendly, at least.

They did better with the DB, where Naz*r and Babette finally start to respect you. Naz*r says something like "you know I revere the ground you walk on, don't you." As well you should, buddy.

I like the concept of illusion spells but you have to invest a zillion perks to avoid the dreaded "X is too powerful for..." and it doesnt help vs dragons and deathlords.

Yeah, well, it isn't so bad. You need to invest in any skill you want to pursue, really. Well except smithing and armor trees, where you can hit the armor cap with just a few perks invested overall.

On the upside, in my 20 levels so far, I've never met an eligible target who would resist my basic Apprentice-level Calm. Don't even have the dual-casting perk, as it was never needed. And that's just 3 special feats invested - Hypnotic Gaze, Animage and Kindred Mage. You will need to get 2 of them anyway if you go for Silent Casting. Actually single-cast Novice Fury even worked without Rage specialization perk on the Caller boss, who otherwise owned me pretty bad at level 20. Seeing as there will be Pacify at Expert skill and that I can more then double the effective level with dual casting, I can rest at ease that Illusion spells should carry me through my entire career (well except for dragons and maybe some Draugr).
Then there are pots for the toughest targets.

I love how ****r's name is cencored by BSN lol. But yeah, it was annoying having Vex and Delvin telling me that I have jobs to do and I kept thinking "Hey, I'm the Guildmaster and you just sit on your bums and drink mead. How about you do some work?".

Funny thing happened with the Companions though. About a month (in game time) after I became Harbinger I entered Jorvaskrr. Aela said "Honour to you Harbinger" and then I heard a familiar voice saying "You still need to prove yourself whelp". It was Skjor raised from the dead. He didn't talk or give me any quests, he just sat there next to Aela, eating bread and glaring at me.

Has anyone seen  These in the game?  I know that the Coffin Button that opens the secret passage  to the Ratway Cistern  is shaped like the first symbol.  But I sure as hell haven't seen the others.

There was a book on a table within the TG that was 'borrowed' and ref during my first playthrough. Several markings became more evident to me when going thru various Holds and their citizen's homes and shops.

Now, I was not looking at the time, but this did not stop me from 'borrowing' items from House Battle-Born in Whiterun, as they seemed like a good bet to fill the order I had received at the time.

I find it annoying how Bethesda does not really punish you or anything.

In DAO the guard mobs that got sent after you were tough battles after the second time. But sending ONE assassin after you or some mooks is kind of sad.

Like in Fallout 3 Talon Company/Regulators were utter jokes.

True, but try killing Vulpes Inculta and his little band of Frumentarii in New Vegas when you first meet them in Nipton as they're attempting to send their little message (as a level 4 or 5 Courier no less).  I couldn't keep up with the Legion's attacks that early on.  Had to reload, spare them, and let the anger stew for many levels, then later swim the Colorado with Boone and wipe him AND Caesar out where they friggin sleep.

I really loved having the freedom to literally step into Legion territory and take on Caesar and his entire Legion army. I fondly remember my Remnant clad Courier with his Q-35 matter modulator heading into The Fort with Boone. "Thumbs down, you son of a ****!"

Good times, good times. Image IPB

I did mostly the same thing but as an wasteland version of Clint Eastwood.
I had my cowboy repeater and I think the .44 revolver.

There was no waiting, no quest line, and no mercy.
Me and Boone walked in there and brought some old west style justice on those slaving bastards.

Let's not forget Tonilia's constant:  WELCOME TO THE COZY LITTLE FAMILY.  I'M ONE OF THE LOOKOUTS FOR THE GUILD.  I WATCH DELVIN'S BACK.  Making her one of the most irritating npcs in the game.

It does break immersion when they seem to be stuck on the past. I think the developers needed to update the greetings for them to properly address the protagonist - it's odd that no one in the Flagon acknowledges the protagonist as the new Guildmaster, especially given the "little rewards" they shell out for doing so many radiant quests (up to 125).

Speaking of the TG Questline, I forgot that Enthir was the one the protagonist turns to for help translating the journal. It was nice to see a different side of Enthir, and I liked how differently the TG quests felt when Karliah became involved in the mix of things.

I know it's currently bugged (since Karliah doesn't seem to return to Nightingale Hall), but does anyone know how Nightingale Hall is supposed to be fully restored? And who is supposed to threaten the Twilight Sepulcher once the Questline has finished (as Karliah mentioned that the protagonist would be notified that there might be threats once the Key was returned)?

Tale of Revenge- Ensiferum

Best moment was dropping for slavers with a VATS shot right through their skulls from the Cowboy Repeater.
Or tossing dynamite at em and seeing them go flying across the camp.

For as much as there was choice in FONV there is no choice for me in regards to the Legion.
I did what Frank Castle would do and sent them to hell with a bullet in the brain pain.

Well me and Duke Snipington (house nickname for Boone)

Not only Delv and Vex, there's an entire room full of fools not doing anything but shooting arrows, sleeping, playing in the water and annoying me with proximity banter.  I would be nice to see a few of them outside completing jobs once in a while.

I was mildly freaked out the other day when I came across a random encounter with what looked like a peasant fighting a mage. I saved the peasant and killed the mage, surprised that the peasant started to talk to me.

Before this I've done the quest to get the Ring of Nirmina. Apparently this guy is a fellow worshipper and recognized me as her herald. He offered me first bite of the mage I had just killed.

Would have been creepier if I hadn't been Argonian.

1 thief gave me 500 gold (sharing his new found fortune with a Nightingale).  Karliah came to my TG guildmaster ceremony.  That's it.

I've never seen any of them do anything outside of the guild hall and Flagon. I've run into thieves out in the wild who have handed over some takings, usually a khajiit in glass armour but not one of those lazy gits will even leave the sewers. Even worse is when I see members of the Companions out hunting in the wild, while the thieves are sitting around in the sewers being ungrateful.

There are all sorts of loons in in Skyrim. Another is the nutcase who wants you to Wabbajack her (after you do Sheogorath's quest).

Up to level 14 now-I had a assassin from the Dark Brotherhood try to kill me as I was wandering around the countryside. I can't recall if I did anything bad enough for someone to hire a assassin to kill me.

The Wasteland does feel like the wild west all times (and some characters even dress like cowboys). I don't think I've brought anyone else with me to take down the Fort. Of all the companions, Boone really is the person who deserves to be there when Caesar dies (and to help make it happen).

I handled it more like the Stranger in "A Fist Full of Dollars," or the ronin in "Yojimbo," bidding my time and doing minor favors for the Legion (the area battles, fighting Lupa in the area, getting the chip, sending the message about Nipton) until I got the Legion safehouse and unlimited caches of currency and ammo, and then used the currency and ammo the Legion provided me with to handle their demise.

Quick Inquiry: What is your Fave Race? cCass? Perk Tree?

Mine would be Breton for the MR, Rogue for the included perks, and Stealth/ Sneak; amazing how it works in this game compared to others in which I avoiid it.

I came across a random encounter with some bandits impersonating imperial soldiers and demanding my "tax."  Hilarious.  Even if the looted soldiers weren't nearby to make it obvious, the orc guy leading them had just that right amount of "I'm an idiot but hoping you don't notice" hesitation in his voice.

I love the orc men.  Even that one, though I had to kill him.

@Addai:
Keep casting soul trap on dead bodies and it levels the skill VERY quickly.

Plus even without the perk for the spell its only 200 magicka points.
