If I'm dual wielding daggers should I put perks into One Handed? Perks like armsman and savage strike or should I only go to dual flurry and the other perk.
Yes, definitely go into the damage perks and power attack perks. I'd say Armsman, Dual Flurry, Dual Savagery, Fighting Stance, Savage Strike, Paralyzing Strike would be the only ones you touch looking at it from a end-game perspective.

Well I don't know if this is your
problem, but all followers seem to have a cap on their level. They don't
"level" anymore after 30.
Most seem to go up to 40 or 50. Depending on difficulty however most followers just don't have the health or use the perks that you yourself would to survive critters when you get around there.
Quick question OT (sort of) but does anyone remember coming across a set
of un-enchanted Shrouded Robes (the ones from the DB). I seem to
recall having found a set at one point (could be mistaken) but now I
cant for the life of me remember. Im trying to find a nice set of robes
to enchant so that I can get my Destruction and Restoration spells up
to 100% free to cast. Im on 360 btw so console commands are not an
option for me.
You find an unenchanted version of the armor in the Dawnstar sanctuary around the training room. I'm unsure if it's armor and robes, or just the armor. I don't know about you, but I like the look of the Emperor's Robes and the Wedding Dress and accessories you can loot during the DB questlines. Just rename them when you enchant them ;P

Pretty much. Destruction is of course tops, I am a huge fan of Alteration so no complaints there. I'd probably also go halfway into Restoration to Adept to make sure I get Regeneration and Recovery (especially if using the Atronach stone and perks). Other than that I'd probably only go into Conjuration for the summon weapon line, but it wouldn't be required but not worth the hassle if you do go the Atronach way.

Yes at first I was thinking, 'is it raining?' Then realized the thunder was Ulfric's thu'um when I saw the imperial soldiers flying through the air. Maybe they use a thunderclap because they forgot to record Vladimir's Fus Ro Dah. That's a damn shame.Aeowyn wrote...
@Elhanan: Ulfric does use his shout in battle, and it's pretty powerful. I watched him knock 6 Imperial soldiers off their feet and make them crash into a wall.
I was actually surprised to see how powerful Ulfric's shout was in the Solitude battle. I suppose just having observed myself and the occassional overpowered undead boss use it in combat makes it a novel thing to see though. But, I was under the impression that Ulfric's use of the Thu'um was limited, so when Imperial soldiers went flying, my first thought was "Oh, that's right, Ulfric possesses the Voice...and he actually knows how to use it...now I'll show him how it's done."
Joy Divison wrote...

Right. All you need is a skad of resistance and a Shout...or, of course, you could just shield charge/bash him to disrupt and stagger or send him flying, then leisurely dispatch him with a fire axe. He was a cream puff...like the rest of the Thalmor; all bluster and hubris masking their soft centers. Now Necros and Pyros on the other hand, no. They handed me my butt repeatedly early on and have earned my PC's malice and their rightful place at the top his personal most wanted list at level 50.

I'm really excited by all the praise given to the Stormcloak story. Is it still compelling if you're neither a Nord nor an Imperial?
Haven't played it as anything but a Nord, so I couldn't say. But, it's my favorite story in the game thusfar, along with the ambient story told in Dwemer Ruins.

However dont waste your money/enchants on rings/gear that increase one-handed damage as for some odd reason it doesnt affect daggers. I found this out the hard way

My battlemage I specialised in conjuration and alteration, and attacked using 1H weapons or bows. COnjuration is worth being able to summon allies and raise dead thralls by the time you get to 100 conjuration.

I just discovered something hilarious. You can meet Cicero (and do a quest for him) before getting involved in the Dark Brotherhood. I found him and his wagon stranded on the road north of Whiterun. he asked me to find someone to help him fix a broken wagon wheel.
I checked up on him this week...he's still waiting for the farmer to fix his wheel.....

I've only got 10 shouts and most of them are still 1 wordvirumor wrote...
My review on shouts:
Dragonrend: necessary for plot
Call dragon/hero: gimmicky
Clear skies: necessary for plot
Aura whisper: great, use it all the time
Become ethereal: sporadically useful to avoid traps, jump off mountains
Whirlwind sprint: sporadically useful to bypass puzzles
Ice form: mildly useful to disable enemies, practical jokes
Slow time: sporadically useful for archers when dealing with groups
Elemental fury: good for warriors, otherwise useless
Unrelenting force: occasionally useful, practical jokes
Fire breath: useless, not enough damage
Frost breath: see above
Kyne's peace: useless, though there are a few caves packed with dangerous animals
Animal allegiance: see above
Disarm: useless, doesn't work against enemies you'd want it to work against
Dismay: useless, see above
Marked for death: useful for warriors, otherwise useless
Storm call: useless (huge cooldown, hurts allies, pathetic damage)
Throw voice: useless
In short: thu'um sucks and the Dragonborn is the most unremarkable Elder Scrolls hero until now.
slow time is good for many things (including running away to heal)
Ice form is my favourite..a few free attacks on an enemy or to incapacitate part of a group
of course, it's useless against powerful enemies ..so I killed the elder dragon with... animal allegiance

after seeing this child leaving the Bannered Mare for the umpteenth time across 3 characters now and then connecting her with her mother Carlotta I realised:
The mother who says she can't marry anyone cause she's got to look after her daughter first, spends her evenings drinking it up in the pub and allows her child to walk home in the dark to go to bed by herself.
Well my orc got jack of that and demonstrated why leaving your child alone in the dark isn't a good thing... (yes I've got the killable-children mod)
..now Carlotta can think about being a childless mum now when she drinks herself numb at the Mare!
oh and Whiterun is also quieter now that Heimskr is dead in bed. He only walked by him twice, but that was enough.
Louis Letrush has been disabled after taking Frost, hopefully this time he'll stay dead! (after last character who disabled two of him outside Whiterun and saw Thugs kill him twice! whilst travelling Skyrim)
(my orc must be channelling all the irritations from my previous characters)

I am a Dwemerphile. I have every book on them on my shelves, and my Whiterun house looks like a mini-ruin. I love their story, and the added bits with the snow elves/Falmer now just add to it.
The picture looks good as well. None of the fuzz or flash I usually see from console screenshots. You need to get Mjoll to join the Blades so she has sweet samurai armor as well. I personally love the helmet though with the golden dragon splayed out across the top. I just wish the armor was tougher, but then again you can get it at L10 or L12 so I guess it can't be too badass :/
And is it just me or does Mjoll have the best accent this side of Claudia Black? I love it!

Oh yes, I like Conjuration, I was just saying if you are going the heavy magic absorb route via Alteration and the Stone then it's not worth it since you really turn Conjuration into a hassle. "I summon you Dremora Twins!" *absorb* "SONOFABI----"

I have
to disagree with you there. Throw Voice is amazing for assassins. It's perfect for altering the positioning of enemies to set up assassination runs, or in those missions you just want to slink by. I use it tons. Fire Breath maxed out with the Focus applied to it is very nice as well. It's especially nasty vs undead and clumped enemies.
Whirwind Sprint is amazing for pure mages and spellshields. I've even busted it out on my archer before as well. Nothing like immediate repositioning to continue pelting an enemy at range after he finally thought he closed in on your grill. I've used Marked for Death on a lot of ranged characters and it's not bad. Not world beater, but not useless. Ice Form can be positively amazing depending on terrain. I've hit something with it before, watched it tumble down two flights of steps, and ruined it with arrows before it could make it's way back up to me before.
I really love the shouts in this game. There are a ton of very useful ones, and you can easily find yourself cycling between a couple depending on situation instead of having one big shout that outclasses all others.

Absolutely. I'd compared her voice actor to CB awhile back. I was entranced by that accent. Of course, the problem with Mjoll is she's a chatter box, and let's face it Swoo, I've had to pretty much tune her out the last couple of hundred hours because her dialogue options are...severely limited, not to mention nearly every female Stormcloak soldier and way too many merchants are voiced by the same VA. Mjoll did surprise me a few times, with a new line or two when we had gone to a new environment, but alas those have all been uncovered at this point.
But yes, her voice is "like buttah."
Yeah, Blades Armor is purely a fashion choice, it's not the choice of badassedness. I've worn it for a while, and just keep improving it as I can eek out an additional point or two, along with the dual Dwarven (fire and soul snare) waraxes I've become attached to. When I really want to play badass, I just march out the Ebony Armor and dual-wield a Holy Ebony Waraxe and Ebony Waraxe of Damnation. I just love the ironic duality of that pair! I still have Dawnbreaker in the inventory for laughs against Draugr, skeletons and vampires.

Another thing Michael Kirkbride wrote that I noticed was that he dislikes a "United Colors of Benetton" approach to the races in Tamriel. This is why I prefer Windhelm to Whiterun, because Whiterun is a little too much like Mayberry, Skyrim. Whereas Windhelm actually has more Mer and Argonians, but doesn't sugarcoat anything.
Christ, Addai, you baffle me.
He's talking about the redguard and the background of them as being perpetrators of atrocity (like every other race in Tamriel). Something about "Asian analogues" though I'm not sure what that refers to. But I think I'll leave it at that since you seem to have a burr in your armor.Michael Kirkbride is saying that specifically about the Akaviri. He made a statement of defiance against building a world where every real life race has to be presented with a fantasy counterpart for superficial reasons. It reeks of racism and guilt.
But, this is the same guy who embraced the idea of Nords a lot of generosity than the Dark Elves deserve.

You baffle me because you don't seem to know what that quote refers to.
As some people know I'm not really a fan of the United Colors of Beneton
approach to Tamrielicreation, which smacks of white guilt and offensery
rather than some holistic form of beautiful inclusion. Thus, it's my
fault that the Asian analogues got eaten. Oops. Looks like others are
bringing 'em back, though. But I promise my choice had nothing to do
with Yellow Peril, it had to do with co-opting "coolness of color"
without thinking about it intelligently and compassionately.
As in...
Tsaesci is "Snake Palace", once the strongest power in Akavir (before
the Tiger-Dragon came). The serpent-folk ate all the Men of Akavir a
long time ago, but still kind of look like them.
And this is the same guy who wrote this:
The largesse of the Nords towards their ancient enemies is one of my favorite ideas coming out of Red Year.
Total misuse of his quote.
