They've been good at creating an environment, but the rest of the game (mostly) was lacking ( in a rpg sense ) Oblivion i'm talking about, btw.

Good video. It'd be interesting to see a Blizzard or BioWare Behind the scenes video as well.

Note some of the concept art. I believe one of them looked like an Argonian.

A map of Skyrim containing some locations. It's tentative though as new locations are probably added or shifted, like the Western Cyrodiil town of Sutch in Oblivion.

Some interesting places to visit, to be sure. Whiterun was the city where the young Barenziah stayed... Solitude is an interesting place as well, since according to legend the Wolf Queen still resides there in her castle, with her undead minions.

That map looks quite interesting: I wonder if "volcanic tundra" will echo some of Morrowind's scenery?  Someone elsewhere also pointed out that Solstheim is on the same latitude as northern Skyrim which suggests that a large area of the land may be green; which leads to the question as to why Bruma is so snowy, though I figure that could be due to the height of the land rather than its latitude.  My point being that I hoped it wasn't going to be wall-to-wall snow, and it seems that the terrain is probably a lot more varied than I'd feared.

I'm curious what the Labyrinthian will look like. That's the place where Archmage Shalidor fought with the Rourken clan. Now, I'm gonna itch to try out Arena for the first time.

I just hope that Skyrim will be more rugged and wild than Cyrodil.
I often think Cyrodil was too much like Sweden, generic European landscape, a perfect political system and economy, which all add up to make it a fairly dull realm. No offence to the Swedish lol.

To be fair I am liking everything I've heard about this game so far.

I wonder if in the North of Skyrim there will be ice-shelves? Maybe a landscape more akin to the poles of the Earth.

Ugh, yea it was. It had good exploration. But the rpg mechanics, writing, voice acting, characters, bestiary, combat, were all very weak. They made a nice world to play in, but that's the extent of it, pretty much.

Giant spiders confirmed in the Game Informer Article. Those things are massive! I want to see their webs.

Bestiary was one weak. Not comparable with a D&D game, but far better than say, Dragon Age.

Loved the video.

The Oblivion music!  A Sugar Bombs poster!  *bounces*  I'm such a geek.  :D

I don't care if Oblivion lacked rpg elements or not, I still spent hours and hours.  And hours.  And hours.  Playing that game.

Wow. Is it just me or does the studio seem low key? Something very basic about it, very humble.

Exactly. The Oblivion music. Those boys are eeeevil to put that in there. It really made me appreciate how good that music was. And I so badly wanted to play that game again.

Yeah, that one. But, I'm thinking that could just be armor.

If someone hasn't posted this already, then this would be new info.

A poem written in Elder Scrolls V's language of dragons appears to tell us something more about the upcoming RPG.

Dragonborn Dragonborn

By his honor is sworn

To keep evil forever at bay

And the fiercest foes rout

When they hear triumph's shout

Dragonborn for hunger blessing we pray

And the scrolls have fortold

Of black wings in the cold

That when brothers wage war come unfurled

Alduin, bane of kings

Ancient shadow unbound

With a hunger to swallow the world

GI Update.

The update today isn't as interesting as Bethesda's offices. It just explains the lore of the relief in the teaser.

I couldn't expect something better than the info that is posted here. I just wonder if there will be a save import option like the one that will be used in Dragon Age 2 just to have an impact to the world. (although i wish not cause i lost my "normal character" save...)
