In the two times I've done that quest I've killed the woman.  Not because of her situation, or because the  leader of the  Dark Brotherhood posed some hypothetical for me to solve or any of that nonsense.

I killed her because  she sent my "too annoying to live" meter completely off the charts.  When you're captured and bound and your executioner is mere inches away, it's just plain dumb to start  acting high and mighty and fling insults everywhere, practically daring someone to kill you..  I would have killed her even if Astrid had told me  she was the wrong one.

I've killed the woman every time. I actually just did that quest last night with my Orc character, and after Astrid told me to kill one, I just walked over and killed that lady without saying a word. She started to say something, but I didn't catch it.

Astrid was most satisfied.

Hey Cyber! I've been wondering how your character was doing. I usually join the companions, but never use the werewolf abilities...but I have a Khajiit character waiting in the wings that I'm thinking would also love the irony of that. Image IPB

You know its odd that no one notices that my Khajiit...is well a Khajiit.

I can walk around town, and Ysolda does not notice.
Also if ONE MORE GUARD CALLS ME A CAT I WILL LOSE IT.

Also threatening to turn my PC into a rug is just low.
Low I say.

Ra'Viir is tired of all the slurs.

So... no one notices you're a Khajit... but you're sick of guards calling you a cat, and people threatening to make a fine rug out of you?

Khajits ARE cats.  And just about everyone IS noticing your race.   What's the problem?

Ya the one thing they seem to notice is your race more than anything, you can be one twisted mofo, and walk into a town though and people still see you as joe-shmo

I meant treating me like I was not a Khajiit.

Khajiit are supposed to not be allowed into towns yet I can walk into any town I want and no one notices.
Its jut plain odd.

Yes, I thought that was quite odd too, playing as a Khajiit mag for my second char.

Heya! They are quite well actually. All 3 of them. Not giving them some attention lately tough. Im playing Old Republic with my friends.

My assassin Khajit was a vampire at first then turned him to werewolf for the lulz. Still feasting with poor Skyrim folk under Hircines watchful eye and Bloodmoon. He made Riften "his" town with Blackbriars as Jarl and Thieves guild returned to its glorious days under his guidance.

Darkelven spellblade was bored adventuring and living in Solitude with his wife. Cooking most of the time.

Female Altmer supreme mage is on her Skyrim domination, made her full vampire and now becoming jarl in all holds. Already mastered every magic school ans cleaving my way with Lighting storm.:wizard:

What about your virtual pets ?

Well...it will kind of be funny when my Khajiit PROVES why people should not allow Khajiit into cities.

What with him going to be my thief character, who does EVERY daedric quest, and who joins the Dark Brotherhood.

What about your virtual pets ?

I've put all of them on hold, except for my latest creation, an Orc 2-handed warrior. I'm using absolutely no magic this time; just pure, unadulterated bludgeoning force.

My Orc follower, Ghorbash, is using Molag Bal's mace for now, and I'm alternating between the Longhammer and Volendrung. I love how quick you can swing Longhammer; I wish Volendrung was like that. I'm considering going back to battleaxes, once I can smith Ebony and Daedric.

Here are all of my characters that are on hold:
Breton spellsword (my first playthrough, stopped around level 53, and completed all main quests and guilds)
Altmer pure mage
Bosmer archer
Khajiit archer/1-handed
Nord 2-handed warrior
Imperial 1-handed Queen of Speechcraft and Illusion
Imperial 1-handed with block (this one is a dead ringer for Vex of the TG)

I need to get all of these up to snuff, as I have less than 6 weeks to play, before ME3 comes out! Image IPB

I know some people who say you cant play Skyrim without Stealth and/or magic.

Those people are what I like to call wrong.
My Orc never uses magic or stealth and he never has any real problem with anything short of dragons or Dragonpriests.

My play style is usually to just run in, bulldoze, loot, run out. For some of my characters, it makes sense to use stealth (with my squishy pure mage, definitely). For warriors, it just seems weird. But, to each their own.

My Orc blunt force arse-kicker has been my favorite playthrough thus far.

I always facepalm at people who tell you what the "correct" build in an RPG is.

There is no right or wrong class, or correct build.
Having played each I can say that they all have their strengths and weaknesses.

Sword and sheild lacks pure damage output.
2-handed lacks any real defense
Dual wielding even more so.
Archers can do one hit kills but can be easily swarmed
While pure mages are uber-squishy.

Each skill comes in handy, but its not REQUIRED I found.

Yeah, despite my best intentions, I still play the way that I want anyway, so there's not much point in trying to follow a specific build recipe.

Personally, I think the pure mage archetype is the most difficult, at least early on. One stray arrow from a bandit, and my mage would be gasping for air. I think if I do continue that playthrough, I'll probably switch over to heavy armor. Oak/stone/ironflesh can only do so much if you miss your opportunity to strike first.

That is why you should to use a sheild.

Up until you get the impact perk that is.
Then you can just laugh at people that get staggered.

I love seeing a vampire get blasted sky high from a fireball.

I thought it was Khajit caravans that were not allowed in towns?  As compared to individual Khajits.

Either way, I can't roll up a character with a tail.  Just can't...

Argonian tails are cool.

They remind me of a crocodile tail.

Girls have more class than boys. I don't see any of you using that over-used joke. Well anyway, everyone now knows what will happen if they post that joke. So don't do it!

I think I said this upthread somewhere already, but it's only the caravans not allowed into towns.  Khajiit obviously can enter because no one says anything about J'zargo, either, and there are a couple Thalmor agents who are inside towns.

I am usually a bullrush fellow myself, but I have to admit that I love playing as a rogueish mage. The my character was a girl who played most of the game as a thief, but discovered a little talent with magic along the way.

Magic can be pretty helpful when it comes to swiping valuables. :P

But yeah my favorite playstyle is just heavy armor, axe and shield.
