In my opinion, there is no such thing as a bad elder scrolls game except for redguard. It's just that Arena was so unforgiving and hard to get into.Gurris wrote...

You are only level 99 so your opinion is invalid. Come back when you are level 100.

About the marriages, Did they ever confirm anything about children? If they do, I sure hope it's not like "You're gonna haz a baby! NINE MONTHS LATER!". And I sure hope characters aren't as... well... unattractive as they were in Fable 2 or Oblivion. Fortunately, the characters from the screenshots look much better in Skyrim than they did in any other elder scrolls game.
Don't think they'll be going that route.LegendaryAvenger wrote...

There will be children so I could see it happening. And maybe a pregnancy could be 15 weeks game time? I think that Elves have longer pregnancies than any other races due to long life span. It could be easily calculated. The only thing that could conflict with having children are the race combinations...Avalla'ch wrote...

I was just about to say that. Races can interbreed but mixed offspring take the race of their mother while showing some noticeable traits of the father's race. Never has it been explicitly stated that beast races cannot interbreed. Beth could say that they could but in-game, it would take multiple triesGodWood wrote...

Men can breed with mer.
It is unknown whether the beast races can breed with the other races.
The child is 'usually' of the mother's species.
EDIT: Discussed in Notes on Racial Phylogeny

I don't intend to get married, I just want to wander about and slice stuff with my sword but if I found this Alvor the Blacksmith had been at my favourite female who isn't ugly then no discount would suffice. Infact I'd have to eradicate the entire town and possibly any neighbouring villages just to be sure. Actually I may need to pre-emptively deal with this blacksmith just incase....or all blacksmiths....I don't want to be taking any chances.....look at the murder your causing Naughty99!!!

I have a theory.
I heard tell that in Oblivion they were going to have an Arena in each major city, I'm fact had it all done and voice recorded when they ran out of room on the disc and ended up making only the Arena for the Imperial City.
In Skyrim, I believe there will be an arena in EACH MAJOR CITY. I think each city has a team name and I'm not sure how it would work, but maybe the Arena quest line will involve more travelling.
I think there is established lore for team names for the cities in Skyrim, too, that I saw. Could be mistaken, though...

It would be nice to refer back to to the Original then. I havent played any of the early ES games so it would be an opportunity to show the Arena is still dominated by tradition (to some extent), for those that have. Those who havent it will be a new experience all together.

I like the sounds of this. Sort of like Gladiator where you start of fighting in the small arenas and then make it to the big one in the Capitol.
Lets just hope the Arena isnt glitched to hell on this game!

I would like Arena matches and also battles to be a bit larger scale (More combatants) and harder. With that said, I sure hope they improve fighting with companions... "Ok, one more strike and he's down..." "I'm on your side!"mrcrusty wrote...

Well, that's not how Arena turned out, but thats what they stated with. Hence the name, Arena.
But, I think it would be a nice addition, if they make it more varied and harder. Oblivion's level scaling made Level 1 Arena Champions more than a litle silly.
And thats why I never ever, ever took a companion with me. Or if I was in a quest I had to, I'ld rush in, swing once or twice then leave it to them. Its like they just ignored the fact I had a sword, swining it at some dude. Hell they did that with each other. Like it was some mages guild quest, and well we had to ambush some dudes, and two of my BM's hit each other, then once we kill all the Necro's go for each other. Just nuts how the AI acted when it came to allies. And god forbid you brought a ghost into town. All the villagers would rush to fist fight it, with all of them unsurprisingly dead at the end of it.LegendaryAvenger wrote...

I agree. The AI is very inept in combat. The reason why people didn't complain about it as much as in Fallout 3/New Vegas is because we had Vats and even then, I got pissed off when I wanted to be sneaky and my companion rushes in to face several well-armed enemies and then gets killed.KenKenpachi wrote...
