* Yes; the Guard will come over and ask that you cease Shouting; makes folks nervous or some such banter. And I was back under full Stealth again; hidden cursor in view.

Okay but he heard you.  When you shouted, it triggered the guard response, even if you can stealth again before they actually approach you.  Are you saying that breaks your reality?

* Calixto was seen running from the marketplace in Windhelm headed towards Candlehearth Hall. The speed of the compass quest arrow is what caught my eye, as the normal charcters do not run. He was already in the murder hole by the time I arrived by a shorter route. The next time this occured, he killed a lass in broad daylight while making a purchase at one of the stalls, then flees. I was able to follow more closely on this occasion by using a full sprint, and caught him in the house as before.

I followed him from the market to Hjerim, right on his heels, and he was running at normal pace.

Sometimes NPCs do teleport.  I had a quest prompt to "return to Aela" and was about to fast travel from Riften to Whiterun when I noticed the arrow was actually in Riften.  Had just married Farkas and she was at the wedding.  Image IPB  I followed her to the gates trying to catch up, but when I went through Riften gates, she was back in Whiterun instantly.  That doesn't always happen, though.  Sometimes when an NPC says they're going somewhere, you can follow them the whole way.

* Curious; MoD has sapped the life of some victims in my game (eg; Harrald in Riftin). But in Sippi's case, not even a puple hue.

Checking the wiki, you're right, it drains 1 pt health per second and 2 and 3 pts with the upgrade, as well as reducing armor.  It says that it can be resisted but the health drop should occur even with magic resistance.  So maybe the bars were blocking you in Sibbi's case.

^see, this is precisely the type of Goalpost moving  nonsense you were doing before.

Your initial claim  (and this whole discussion), was about ENEMIES being able to do in combat  what your character cannot.    Yet Somehow, between then and now, you decided to SHIFT the discussion and change your claim.   You're now citing   scripted, non-combat events  involving non-enemies.

I'm sick of your dishonest debating Elhanan.  Your initial claim was BS and you know it.  Which is why you're no longer peddling it.

Was answering a specific question; not debating.

Indeed.  This one:

We're talking about if enemies can flee faster than the player can run, aren't we?

^that's the question you quoted in your post.

The problem with your argument is that Calixo isn't an enemy  at that point in the game when he's running, is he.  So citing him  in an attempt to back your claim is silly.  It's a scripted event that had to be that way   to keep the quest from breaking.  Absolutely nothing to do with combat.

I'm sure I probably did know about it, but I don't usually stumble upon it going in; I'm usually going out. Image IPB

Someone had to tease you so thought it might as well be me. Image IPB Besides thought that I would try to steer things away from his useless debate for which he's trying to keep going.

I'm only surprised that I didn't catch what I said before I posted it. I'm slipping. Hehe.

On a sidenote, have any of you guys found all of the Treasure Maps (and treasure) yet? I haven't made it a priority, but I'm thinking I might, just for giggles. I still need to get all of the Stones of Barenziah, too.

I found a couple maps, but found nothing at the locations where I thought that were indicated; prefer the rumor map markers a little more.

Calixto moved so quickly that no determination of Hostile was ever made. But he was definately my enemy; not an ally, and could run faster than the Dragonborn; scrippted function or not. Other cases have been sighted, and cited here, too.

Greetings, fellow Skyrim fans.

I myself don't even know where most of them are. I've only found two of them, and both were by sheer chance. What exactly is the treasure that they all lead to?

I waited to hoof it to Winterhold in this playthrough, and still haven't gained entry into the college yet. I keep getting sidetracked, a feeling we all know well.

That should be a fun playthrough! My Altmer is also planning to join the Stormcloaks, but I haven't gone back to play that character in a while. Thanks to Joy Division's inspiration, I am planning on giving her her some new mage robes, and another day in the sun.

Plus, I'm having a ball playing my Orc, but dang, she's way over-powered. I don't even use Berserk anymore, because I can trounce pretty much anyone, and anything, at this point, with little effort (aside from the occasional tough mage).

I need to play my kitty woman, too. And my new Argonian...and my Bosmer...and...and..

As for the Treasrue maps I've found about 4 of them as well as for the treasure thats it so far in 3 different playthroughs. They are more elusive then the Stones of Barenziah as I've got about 15 of them currently as well as for about 6 of the masks. How many maps are there in total? How many masks are there?

There are:

24 Stones of Barenziah
10 Treasure Maps
10 Dragon Priest Masks

Of those, I've only gotten all of the Dragon Priest Masks. (Of course the Wooden Mask is only used as a transport device to get you to the final mask, Konahrik).

It was kind of a waste, though, since I never use/wear any of them.

I know what you are saying in regards to getting side tracked. Can't tell you how many times I've headed to the mage college to join up and something else comes up.

I thought that playing a High Elf who worships Talos and joins the Storm cloaks would be a fun play through as well. Hopefully you get some great convo topics like I got with the Thalmor this time being a Nord. Its so much fun provoking them till they attack you so that you can take them down.<LOL>

What are you running your kitty woman as? As for me I usaully run as a fighter/thief but this time with my Nord she's a jack of all trades. First rpg for which I've ever played that I don't mind using spells. And not just the healing spells either. Most mages hate me because I've got my Daedric armor with high resitsance to the various school spells And I use a shield with the Elemental perk. So i've got over 100% resistance to their spells.

^ My Khajiit will probably be a sneaky thief/assassin, just like all of my other characters (I never intend for them to fall into that role, they just...do). My biggest dilemma is usually deciding whether to wear heavy or light armor.

I keep thinking that I should max out Speech on one of my characters, or Block, or some of the ones I don't naturally do, but I still haven't.

Thanks. As for the stones I knew how many of them there were it was the maps and the masks I wasn't sure about. I want to try to get all the masks to at least say I had gotten them all in at least one play through even if I don't use them all. I know where most of the stones are it's a matter of getting to them.<G>

The treasure  (for each of the 10 maps)  is randomly generated based on your level.  It's also  standard, run of the mill loot that you'll easily find elsewhere  in any dungeon or cave chest:  Gold, potions, gems, the occasional weapon or piece of armor.  That kind of stuff.

On a side note, some of those maps are   easy to follow, but the  rest are impossibly difficult.

over the course of  my 4 playthroughs, I've found all 10 treasure maps.  But I've only been able to find  the treasure of 3 of them:  1) The  one  near Riverwood;  2) the one in the tundra near Whiterun, and 3)  the one near the Lady Stone.

Speaking of loot I'm curious has anyone ever found any Daedric armor, boots or helmet other than what we can smith? I know that I have yet to find any. Found Full sets of Ebony but nothing in regards to Daedric.

I have, at about level 40ish, I found a Daedric Dagger and a Daedric shield.

Edit:  also I made an interesting  discovery a few days  ago.  I found a Dragonscale Helmet.  Not quite sure what to make of such a thing, lore wise.  (when was it made?  And by who?  Had to have been crafted by some extremely talented smith  either very recently, or very  long ago,  since there were no dragons around in between those two time frames.)

I had found a daedric dagger d but that was about it in regards to daedric items. Of course I've gotten used to smithing my own. As for the Ebony set I usually put it on one of the manequins in Proudspire. Put dwarven on the other one. <G>

He was not hostile until I entered Hjerim.

I've found the treasure at the Solitude Lighthouse.  Not a huge haul, just a normal chest really.

One thing I've never found is Meridia's Beacon, in all my games, even though I got the quest from her shrine.  That's a bummer.

I've gotten both daedric and dragonplate loot, very occasionally.  I assume the dragon stuff is meant to be ancient.

Well, finally finished the main quest. Maybe it's just me, but I thought end game was done extremely well...and I still don't get the whole Bethesda doesn't do great stories thing. Sure, it's stretched out over time, due to the overpowering and time consuming exploration of a huge world that is the real main character, but this was an infinite improvement over Oblivion. There were simply alot of great moments from trapping Odahviing to speaking with Paarthurnax at the end with a gojillion dragons flying around overhead, that I'm more than satisfied. Eh, maybe it's in the eye of the beholder, but again, I thought it was well done. Maybe my view is colored by over 400 hours to actually complete a single playthrough of a game I’ve enjoyed like few others, but there it is.

Skuldafn, was huge btw, and was littered with nothing but Deathlords and dragons, and having a minor dungeon crawl was actually pretty fun. Too much loot. I left more ebony weapons behind than I actually brought out. Sovngarde was quite the surprise, mist added to the surreal environment and the Hall of Valor, being able to see and briefly converse with Ysgramor, Jurgen Windcaller and Olaf One Eye was unexpected.

Alduin wasn't that difficult, but I underestimated him at first...right up to the point where his fire attack nearly took my health bar to a shade above death...then I got serious and ended him quickly.

Anyway, in my view, it was a worthy ending for the main quest. All told, this was an exceptional game, and will probably end up being one of those 'once in a decade' sort of experiences.

LOL. I've had the game since the day of its release, and have yet to even complete A Cornered Rat in any of my playthroughs. I've actually restarted multiple times due to mistakes I felt I made during character creation, leveling my character, or from botching a quest.

Sadly, I haven't had ample time to play the game in over a month now due to personal duties. I hope to be able to resume playing sometime soon and finally finish the main quest and complete the numerous other quest lines I haven't touched yet.

Props to you, sir, for maxing out your Speech. I know there's a way to falsely level it, by talking to the guy in the Black-Briar Meadery, but it's just too boring to do it at any length (and I don't think there's any need to cheat the system). My Orc is pretty rich - rich enough to buy lots of Speech training - but I must have had a better commerce plan in my Nord playthrough. I had her up to over 70,000 septims in two days of play, but it's taken me longer in this playthrough. Regardless, I don't tend to buy training. I learn by doing.
Image IPB

My favorite house of all is Hjerim, in Windhelm. I know it takes a while to acquire, but once I do, all the work I did makes it seem worthwhile. I also like Vlindrel Hall and Honeyside, but Hjerim is my absolute #1 choice. The others are kind of "meh" to me; not sure why. I know that I should hail to the glory of Proudspire Manor in Solitude, but it's just a big house, and lots of running around to me. And not enough weapon racks and cases for the size and cost.

I wish at least one of them would have its own forge and smelter. You can't blame a girl for dreaming, can you? Image IPB
