Glad to see that I'm not the only one who don't paticularly care for Maven.

Now that there is an idea or as a contract that you get from the DB.

However that said I think that Galmar is nothing more than a shaved bear that Ulfric keeps around. Rikke at least does not sound like some kill crazy thug every time I talk to her.
You know I kind of wish that there was more to the blades than what we got.
All we do is find Esbern, their base, and recruit three people.

I couldn't agree with you more in regards to all of this here especially the Blades. I think that the Blades could have been expanded on allot more.
Looking forward to seeing what the modders come up with as well as for a good DLC.

I bet that the first DLC is going to be on Solstheim.
What would make you think that they would make a DLC base on Solstheim? After all wasn't Solsheim used For Bloodmoon in TES 3?
EDIT:
Strive I do see your point as it is a mining island of Ebony ore if I'm not mistaken.

Nah ES games were always easy without moding. At morrowind where enemies stop scaling at 30 you became god-like. And in Oblivion with using spellmaking you become the next Vivec
I agree with Haplose on end-level enemiy matter, BG,Icewind, Fallout1-2,tactics, Planescape have the best combat experience. Even in mid levels, you can hold person/fear another party and defeat them easliy while they can do the same thing to you.
Still remember, my little wastelanders horrible deaths from critical strikes. Dancing to his death with rhythm of lead
And never finished doom 2 without cheating at last level
A memorable end game. Still remember riding the elevator up with a rocket launcher, taking your shots as you were rising (had to put 3 rockets in the target, I think), having to jump off, pull out a BFG to clear the horde, wait for the elevator to lower and reset, take another shot to clear the enemies right around you, and ride it back up again for another try; rinse/repeat until either you or the boss (which was a hole in a wall) was dead. God, was that 18 years ago?
Oh, how many reloads until we figured out what we were supposed to do?

I wonder if they're going to go full out expansions or try and nickel and dime content with DLC. You would think if they're going the latter they would of already started by now.
I'm pumped for the creation kit coming out (tommorow?). I'm eager to see what the modders can do with it.

Tribunal and Bloodmoon could both happen right out of the gate.
Shivering Isles and Knights of the Nine as well
A Thalmor invasion would only really make sense post-civil war.
A Solstheim based DLC could be done at any real time in the game, and hey that is some nostalgia right there.
So what if it was done in Bloodmoon? I would pay to go back and see what became of Raven Rock, Thirsk, and the Skaal again.
Hell its rife with turmoil too since the Dunmer fled there during the Red Year, and if you thought the Stormcloaks were not happy wait until you meet the Skaal who are the arch-conservative nords.
Also who would not want Stalhrim armor since it looks like it is made from ice.
Hey even if it mirrors Bloodmoon it would still be an awesome DLC.

Read Scourge of the Gray Quarter
Compare with Dunmer of Skyrim
I don't think writing a book implicating the Dark Elves in a plot to overthrow the Nords and "claim Skyrim as their own" was a good idea.
And so my well of sympathy runs a little drier.

Hell if they are fine with an Altmer setting up shop and she even says she got there by just working at it there cause gets a few more holes in it.
If you also look at it there are Dunmer in many positions from Housecarls to store owners.
It is half their own problem but it is also half the Stormcloaks problem.
Why should refugees suddenly want to fight in a war if they had just run away from another war?
Then again Dawnstar, Winterhold, and Windhelm seem to be the most regressive places in the land
But the real issue is that most Dunmer just want to live away from conflict...but they choose to live in a city in a conflict.
I mean just keep going if you dont like the city since there seems to be nothing but space around Whiterun, Riften, of Falkreath. There are people already there and you cant just shove them out of the way and expect to be treated nicely.

Eh? I've always gotten Iona as a Housecarl in Riften. You have to go back and talk to the Jarl and tell her that you've bought the house. She will then officially bestow you "thane" status and Iona will be waiting inside your home when you return to it.happy_daiz wrote...
I'd be happier if the Thane of Riften thing wasn't bugged, and I'd get Iona as a housecarl, but that should be fixed with the next patch, anyway.
Sorry this is delayed, but I wasn't online all weekend.
I can't tell you how many times I've gone back and talked to the Jarl of Riften. She doesn't have any new dialogue options. I've tried the 4 default ones that appear a few times each, but none of them have spawned the Thane conversation. I think (correct me if I'm wrong) this is a known bug on console.
I've gotten Iona as a housecarl in a few previous playthroughs; this bug seems to have manifested itself in the last patch.

Curious if your real life husband works the same way for you?
I wish I could say yes, but alas, I'm the cook in the family. He is capable of macaroni and cheese, or Bagel Bites (in the microwave)...oh, and cereal. That's about it.

I just had to ask when you mentioned about your in-game orc hubby.<G> I'm glad that I learned how to cook many years ago.
As for the Iona house carl but it might be with the console game.I've not yet gone to Riften or Markarth yet this play throgh which I started right after the beta for 1.4. But I'll let you know how it goes with the pc when I get there. I know they since the patch the Waking Nightmares quest is bgged.
@All I wouldn't mind seen either a DLC for which when can finally find out what truly happened to the Dwarves Or a Thalmor invasion whre we can get down to kicking some serious Thalmor @ss and running them out of Skyrim for good once and for all.

Yeah, I agree. Often when this topic comes up you find out people haven't talked to many of the Dunmer or Altmer in Windhelm, and don't know the intervening history of the empire after Oblivion or the background with Argonians and Dunmer being bitter enemies. The irony is that it's the Stormcloak holds that have larger populations of non-Nords, unless you count the Reachmen in Markarth and you can see how well that's going. Add to that the fact that the empire now only consists of High Rock, Cyrodiil and maybe Skyrim, and the "racism" factor strikes me as very odd. There are good reasons to support the empire, but that's not one of them.Angus Cousland wrote...
I must be one of the few who finds the "plight" of the Dark Elves to be blown way out of proportion, and afford them little sympathy. Truly oppressed peoples wouldn't be allowed to live in comfortable homes, own and operate successful businesses, and be treated respectfully by all but a handful of individuals.
The same goes for all "foreigners" in Windhelm, even the High Elves (of all people). So all of the cries of racism and oppression fall on deaf ears here on my end.
Also, Khajiit aren't allowed in any city in Skyrim (including Solitude), not just Windhelm.
You know in Solitude, Roggvir's executioner complains about Jaree-Ra and says that under Torygg, a lizard like him would never have been let into the city.
OTOH, if someone sees their Dragonborn as a major social reformer of the Nords- and, you know, good luck with that- then you're better off with Elisif on the throne. Ulfric is his own man, not overly awed by the Dragonborn, and is going to keep Skyrim on war footing until the threat from the Dominion is over one way or another. For my money, that's what Skyrim needs.

Right, because when the Dunmer were penniless refugees they not only let them settle in Skyrim but agreed to give them territory without asking any compensation or fealty in return. Those racist Nords.virumor wrote...

Then again I get the feeling that Torygg is kind of a push over and just did that since Mede told him to.
I doubt Ulfric was really happy (or his dad) about having to handle a large influx of refugees.
