See, now I was originally planning on being a Nord, but this tension between Argonians and Dunmer really makes me want to roll an Argonian (I always play as an Argonian first), just for the possible snide comments.

From what I know.

Men can breed with mer.
It is unknown whether the beast races can breed with the other races.
The child is 'usually' of the mother's species.

well there was the Gray Prince in oblivion who was the arena champion and he just had very pale skin

I don't think the developers would take the time to create a unique, mixed-race look for one NPC, though.

I am very curious about the storyline emerging between the Dunmer and Argonians. It's giving more overarching characterization to both of them. It's a plot that could also potentially manifest itself in future dlc or full release title.

I sure hope race differences are more than just a disposition loss. It possibly could be harder to marry someone of the rival race.

That will be nice if they go into that detail. I'm not expecting such since Bethesda games are so freakin' huge, they have a hard time developing such aspects. Maybe some friendly modders will write some in, or even voice act the roles. Skyrim seems to have much potential from what is known.

I'll be playing the same character I played in Oblivion. Same appearance, same name, same swag, everything.
Too bad they mixed greaves and cuirass, though. I liked to run around Cyrodiil wearing only greaves and boots, using my Argonian's scales as armour.
Swag to the max.

I would NEVER want anything to be impossible. I would want it to be tough and challenging but other than that, couldn't you only play as a Half-orc in that game?

Yes, there will be some quests involving a group of racist nords and another group of elves who presumably hate the first group.

You need a home before you should even think about starting a war. The dunmer  are just a bunch of regugees trying to find a place to settle. Good luck fighting in any war.
