Pines of Whiterun doesn't make lore sense, but it's very pretty and the town now reminds me of Bruma for some reason. I also dl'ed the Lydia chair fix- lol- maybe now she won't have to go to the Blades. She'd have been gone already if I'd not put off the MQ.

I dl'ed the Dovahkiin Hideout but I'm not sure I'll use it. For one thing it's HUGE, for another it just defies all logic. Then again this is Tamriel, where whole civilizations warp in and out of existence. lol

Now I did download the the Dovakiin  Hideout but not sure if I'll use it either. As your right it is huge Bigger than what I was looking for at least. Think I'll check out some of the other home improvements for which are out there and see if there is one more to my liking. something thats about 1/4 to 1/2 the size of the hide out.

I added the map markers for the homes as well as I thought this was one that was over due.

Now I got a question for someone here. How are you getting your in game pics and posting them over here on this site? I've tried to do it with a few pics but seem to be missing something some where. Any help would be apprecieated.

Christmas...exactly! Dovahkiin Hideout is just WOW. Weapon's racks and book shelves to your heart's content.

Saw Pines of Whiterun. It really looks amazing. Will definitely have to DL it.

Breezehome Extra Storage was exactly what I was looking for in my last playthrough. I was really getting tired of piling everything into a single chest and dresser; oh, and Lydia's Chair Fix finally gets her out of the damn bedroom.

Yes but with the Dovahkiin Hideout would you really need the Breezehome Extra Storage mod as well? Seems to me the Hideout has enough storage for even the biggest pack rat in the game.<G> There's statues to each of the gods and even a place to display all of your priest masks in the hideout.

There are some things for which he could have done away with in the hideout like the bedroom as well as for the bar and torturer chamber and war room as them are things for which I don't feel are really needed.

No. Does that help with quest updating?

Yes, it's required to do the next quest in the series.

I took a room in the Bee and Barb and slept for eight hours, but still the quest tells me to kill Grelod. I went back into the Orphanage again, and the other woman is still running around hysterically, yelling "I yield, I yield!". Grelod lies next to her bed (I dragged her off it, hoping to update the quest somehow) without any clothes on. No update.
The orphans also comment on her being dead...

Try sleeping outside town like ruin or abaondon shacks for more than 2 or 3 hours. When you wake up say hello to the lovely Astrid. Damn, I wish I could marry and romance that woman but she already married and in the end... well.... I leave that to you to find out.

Thank you, but I've already managed to progress with the console. Console really saves my game... Had to use it during the Thieves Guild questline as well. The Argonian fella you had to follow decided he was tired of walking when he got into the warehouse and kept standing at the entrance. The game apparently doesn't support the criminal path.:o
Astrid seems quite bad-ass indeed.:bandit:

@Renjililty- Now I've yet to do the DB quest since installing the 1.4 patch. But I'm now level 40 and getting ready to go to Riften and Markarth for the first time this game.<LOL> Heck already got to pay a 40gp bounty when I get to Markarth. But will have to test out the DB right off. I know the "Waking Nightmares" Daedra quest is bugged and you can't progress it.

I believe I have patch 1.4 installed, so it doesn't fix this issue, at least not for me.
I had Waking Nightmares bug for me prior to patch 1.4, on my second character. My first character has been able to do it, but with my second the priest disappears after entering the temple and he has to open te secret door for you to continue.

Anyone else still having dragons not giving souls? I killed a blood dragon not so long ago and it wouldn't give me one. Other (regular) dragons have, however.

Sounds to me like you're having the same problems for which I'm having with the Waking Nightmares quest. Hopefully they'll fix this with the next patch as it's not a bad quest when it's working right.

Haven't played the game to much in the past couple of days due to checking out some mods that are already up. Some are pretty good some I wouldn't even mess with.

Got to more mods for which I want to test out and then I'm going down to join the thieves guild and do my initial killing for the thieves guild. Want to see if I run into the same problems for which you did in regards to it not updating. I'll keep you posted.

As for dragons not giving souls I've only had that happen once this play through. Don't remember what kind of a dragon it was though. Currently have 6 souls with no words right now so I'm good.<LOL>

Dragon-sized mudcrabs; footprints in the snow; Build your own home;  Spell combos; arrows that deliver spell effects.

Do it Todd!    Release it all.

I couldn't agree with you more that some of that was so cool. Like the end with the mud crabs when that huge one showed up. The comment he made was not only appropriate but funny as well.

You mean initial killing for the Dark Brotherhood, right?:P You don't have to kill for the Thieves Guild to join them.

I looked at the manual for DB at the wiki. Said that after you've got the update that Grelod is dead, you should not sleep in a bed or the courier won't show up. Whoops. Quick reload; I had just slept in Candlehearth hall.:pinched: You really do need to follow the manual strictly for the DB.

Yes for the DB. Well yes after you kill Ms Kind you go about your normal routine and a courier will find you and deliver a message to you. Then you go and sleep some where. It helps sometimes to follow your journal that is true. <G>

Sorry was chatting with someone on Steam.<G>

Spears, mounted combat, werebears (where, bears?), finishers for magic and ranged combat... and lots of other stuff that should've been already in the game.

I could't agree with you more on this here as I think that it would be great. Loved the mudcrabs at the end especially the huge one and what he said when it showed up.<LOL>

This is what happens when you let extremely talented Devs go leash free. You get magic. You get stuff that gamers dream of.

Just the thought of being able to build your own home in this game.   Wow.  That just blows my mind. I could spend 50 hours just playing around with such a thing.

Oh, I won't use DH.  It's not really my thing, but it is an amazing mod.  Extra Storage is more to my style, although I do wish it had maybe three or four weapons racks included.  That's the one thing I'm always short it seems.

Why not just release some of those mods on the workshop then?

Also...what Bethesda do you want my first born child now or something?
Because right now I would do that.

I couldn't agree with you more on this here. after all you could put in whatever you wanted to and where you wanted it. And even if you had to pay to have it build the way you wanted it that would be fine as well. After checking out some of the mods found two really great ones which change the basement area in Proudspire. 1 adds a smithing area and smelter the otther adds upgrades with display cases wall plaques and more. To bad the 2 mods conflict with one another or I'd add them both.<G>

Redneck, are you uploading your pics to Image Shack or some other free image hosting service and then trying to bringing them over to BSN?

My screenshots are huge, 1.5 MB or more I think. Image Shack didn't even want to upload them when I tried. Maybe it's because the F12 button for Steam doesn't seem to work on my laptop. When I press Prt Sc I do get the message a screenshot has been created (so I don't have to paste in Paint) but then the file is very large.

Oh, and is there a way the remove the bar with the land mark icons when taking a screenshot? I have made some pretty ones, but you see that bar with a cave symbol in it. :P

Last night, I had another dragon attack a walled city - Riften this time. This is the second time that's happened within one week (the first was in Windhelm), and I've been playing for...well, probably right around 1000 hours.

So this dragon shows up, and everyone pulls out their weapons and runs toward it. Maven Black-Briar starts shooting it with lightning, Mjoll pulls out Grimsever, etc. Even Balimund rushed in to help.

Well, I didn't think there was anywhere for it to land in Riften, but forgot about the area right in front of the Thieves Guild entrance. I ran in, just in time to see the dragon spitting out that Talos priestess (Nura Snow-Shod). After my Orc finished it off, I went to look for Nura's body, and it's missing!
Image IPB

And the TG quest Blindsighted is now suddenly bugged for me. Karliah and Brynjolf are not in the correct place, and they're walking towards the door! I let them go one time, and they actually went outside Irkngthand, and kept going! I thought I could fix it by reloading, but it happened a second time. This is the first time it's bugged for me, waaa.

Open console type "tm" press enter and close console :)
To bring it back ,dont panic, press console button (game will freeze) press Up then enter :)

And you can use Irfanview or such programs to resize your screenshots.

Oh thank you, that was hilarious none of them were working on a patch .. rofl. Gotta check their site and see what the players said about that. I am sure  the forum was full of "make a danm patch and stop fooling around" posts...like we see in here:unsure:
