Okay, was the elf named Krimson Lust really a necessary addition to the Dovahkiin Hideout?  <_<

Seriously?  Luckily I haven't progressed far enough yet to even purchase Breezehome (which I plan on heavily modding), since I'm concentrating on leveling and earning gold.  But I really don't want any nonsense from a mod to detract from my game.  Thus far I've been very particular about mods, focusing solely on environmental visual improvements.

I did install River view which is a small house in Riverwood that gives me a small base of operation prior to going "Dragons-Active" in the main quest.

I'm still iffy on DH, though it's real worth might be found in being able to quick travel and move loot from house to house.

Do the weapon racks, book shelves and shield racks all work properly (or are they broken like many of the others in the vanilla game)?  Honestly if they work, that would be worth the installation for me.  I have made it a mission on this playthrough to collect all collectible-worthy books in the game, and that's going to required a lot of book shelf space.

I haven't tried the racks in DH, though I did use it to switch my base of operations from Breezehome to Vlindrel Hall without having to fast travel to carry all that inventory.  That's all I'll probably ever use it for.

The oddly named elf is at least wearing armor- I'm guessing the ones who'll use that feature have skimpy armor mods.

I tried the Riverview mod as well, but there are some minor issues with the door.  My companion got stuck in it and I had to fast travel to get him back, and when I emerged I was halfway through the floor.  This seems to be a common problem with location mods, there were also issues with my Goodsprings home in FNV.  I do like the Riverwood Enhanced mod a lot!  That village should be extra pretty.  The mini smelter kind of cracks me up.  I would have put a full-sized one off behind the smithy or something.

People interested in lore friendly mods may be interested in my list of mods (shameless self advertisement).

Anyone having published their own list somewhere? Always interesting to see what choices people do.

They have 70 voice actors in Skyrim.

Really? 12 was intended hyperbole, but I thought at max they had 30-40? 20 being the sex of each race and 10-20 for main characters.

Whoa, I bookmarked that page.  It's like a Skyrim modding PhD course.  lol

I think I'm going to be playing Mass Effect for a while to get ready for ME3, then come back to Skyrim after the dust has settled.  I kind of don't want to, though.  For all that people complain about TES storytelling, I'm pretty interested in following lore threads and still have to finish The Infernal City.

Skyrim features a cast of more than 70 voice actors, including many notable actors.

Ok folks got a quest for those that use and are Familiar with FRAPS. Now I just download and installed it and have tested it out. But got a couple of questions for you.

1. Does the free version only record for a certain amount of time? Maybe 2minutes or less?

2. And is it suppose to save the recording in parts like it's doing with mine. Any help would be appreciated as I'm trying to learn how to use it before I buy it.

Holy cow you use all them mods at once? I wouldn't even be able to keep track of them  I don't see how you manage them all.Image IPB I take it you don't get any of your mods off Steam?

  Yes, I'm on the heavy side of modding my game. No CTD, no strange crashes, and overall FPS at 35 minimun, 50/60 most of the time.
I use the nexus mod manager and the BOSS utility to manage the load order. All is explained in the list.

BTW, concerning FRAPS, I use the free version, if I remember correctly, we are only allowed 30 sec videos on free version, and there is the FRAPS logo on the image.

My guess is it is easier on your HDD to create a bunch of 3gb files rather than adding to one huge 30gb one, so you don't lose performance while recording.

Yes I see that you are on the heavy side of mods there. And I thought that I was bad with about 25 mods. So far I get mine off steam as there are some good ones up there. Mainly changes to some of the houses, new houses, and a few other things.

I don't mind steam cause they as new updates are posted steam updates your mods in your game.<G>

Ah I forgot how fun it was to play a mage.

Blasting vampires into bits with a fire ball never gets old.

I have the paid version and it will only record in bits of 2 or 3 minutes apiece.  But if you're getting shorter videos than that, then it sounds like you have the setting enabled which is meant to record for screenshots- it loops and records over the previous interval.  Check your settings on the Screenshot tab and make sure it isn't set to loop.

You can use programs such as VirtualDub to combine them all into one avi. I'd suggest grabbing a codec and compressing them as well, so instead of having a 10 minute video be like 17gb it will only be like 750mb-2gb depending on codec and resolution size.

Why they didn't give us medieval firearms in Skyrim? (muskets, explosive arrows, cannons, etc.)

ADDai- Under screen shots the only thing for which I've got is where to save the screen shots; The hotkey for taking screen shots. .BMP <cause its the free version and thats all it allows>

I do NOT have the "Include frame rate overlay on screen shots or the "Repeat screen capture" checked.

Why in the world would you need stuff like that in a game like Skyrim for? Besides that them things didn't exist in Medieval times.

I dunno I've never used it. The tools I use are

Fraps -- records the footage
VirtualDub -- combines the footage
x264vfw encoder --compresses the footage in Virtualdub, under video
Audacity -- if I want to edit sounds (add music/mute parts/etc)

This video is pretty much the same process I go through, he uses a different encoder though, and I only have one harddrive.

There are no firearms in Skyrim because the only technologically aligned race is long gone.
