I have been challenged for a magical duel as well before I had joined the College, so I don't think it is a bug. If your character uses magic, you can be challenged. I conjured a sword and hacked the idiot into pieces. He was whining: "hellooooooo, this is a magical duel, as with magic?". What, my magical sword is not magic to you?

I showed him the finer points of enchanting... and the fine point of my greatsword.

Even now after seeing it for the third time it still moves me. Everything about Sovngarde was perfect , the music, imagery, they hit it out of the park. The aftermath gave you that "I just saved the world" feeling.

The only problem i have found with Skyrim is that i have no time for any other games. I have Arkham city, Bastion, KoA, Orcs must Die, Metro 2033 on my backlog to name just a few. Now with ME 3 coming out i preordered the collectors edition and it will probably gather dust till the summer.

Now quite the same feeling for me, but it is quite good enough to play several times. What I would like to see in future games is companion AI that does not move you off mark, storyline arcs like the Blades that comes to a screeching halt, and an end boss that is leveled; not as much fun if you wait until later in the game to encounter Alduin. I was hoping a mod would allow for this, but have only seen those that make all dragons harder, and that is not needed. IMO.

On the plus side, also enjoy the beautiful visuals, the storyline getting there, music, the duel with Tsun, getting to speak with notable spirits of the deceased, the mist and Clear Skies, Lynda Carter, etc; simply want it to be even better for future play.

Er.... something strange just happened to me that most certainly did not happen in previous playthrus.

I just killed Morekei in Labrynthian. And he dropped, not 1, not 2, but *3* Staves of Magnus. lol isn't that kinda... overkill?

Who needs the College?  I could simply  open up a Staff of Magnus store and just sell Staves of Magnus.   Can't be that earth-shakingly rare  if one guy has 3 of them.

Agree.  I also felt like I didn't get to stay in Sovngarde near long enough.  They had the whole "It's not your time yet, Dragonborn" theme down pat.  The Dragons circling overhead at the end, well that was just one of my more epic moments in gaming.

Having Odahviing on call for the rest of the time I wish to spend in Skyrim?...Yeah, that's beyond cool!

Bethesda certainly raised the bar with this one. I have never spent such a large chunk of time on any other game out there.

Nice smoke a bowl or drop acid merry go round game but the boss battles, really. Better than Oblivion. Need more something of just a better game. For what I have now it's good. Bard's college for the win.

I still don't have all achievements yet. mostly because I really stopped caring about them.
I spent around 110 hours on one character and hadn't done the Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhod quests yet, because I roleplay and didn't want to join all factions.(Since then I limited myself to 1 faction per character)
However then I didn't really feel like Skyrim anymore and stopped playing for 2 months. I started playing again like a week ago(So many great mods out now!)

If I still had the same mentality I had a few years ago I would have all achievements by now.

Our own phaonica has made a mod that lets you marry Ulfric and have him as follower.

You know I had to test it- for science!  I posted some shots at my blog.  It's not voiced obviously.

He's so much fun as follower.  Does his thu'um and everything, and he has funny taunts.  Add in the More NPCs mod and much hilarity ensues.  I might never stop playing Skyrim.

Must be randomized; had to re-load from Auto-Save while exiting a shop, and it did not appear the second time.

Yeah it's random. But beware! If you don't have strong elemental protection, that guy can be a real pain on Master difficulty, basically two-shotting you real quick. After he ran to me, sometimes I was dead before I could really react.
