Remember it's likely the shot of a trailer not ingame graphics, plus Ulfric was in a Thalmor prison 30 years before Skyrim.naughty99 wrote...

Bethesda apparently twitted a pic of Ulfric Derpcloak in a Thalmor prison. And the word "tomorrow".
What about that pic gives you the impression that it's Ulfric?
Simply because they are both blond? Looks nothing like him IMO.

Bethesda tricked us. I can't believe I didn't think Dishonored...I'll take it. Gonna go check it out right now. Been following this game ever since GameInformer
The game does look great, though I probably won't play it til later in the year after I'm done with other stuff.

Is there any speculation about what Dawnguard could be about?

I heard general speculation it involves the Thalmor, but really there is nothing at all to help gain insight. It remains, thankfully, unknown.
That could be interesting. It would allow protagonists who sided with either the Legion or the Stormcloaks to become involved, although I don't think any DLC will be exclusive to either faction. It'll probably be more like New Vegas and Fallout 3, where the player can access the material at any time during the storyline. I would certainly like the opportunity to deal some more damage to the Thalmor, although given how much I liked Skyrim, I trust that the DLC should be good.

Yes; I can understand why someone would be hesitant to get exited over a GOTY that had little substance. But seeing as I have managed to play 800+ hrs, and have not fully explored this beautifully crafted section of the world, I end up wondering what exactly would 'wet' said appetite?
Believe me, I get that the romantic and companion depth may not be equal to some other games I have played, but that has never been my priority in RPG's. And while I prefer stories from some other games as well, Skyrim is stuffed full with many that are top caliber, and has so many to draw from that the lesser ones are as easily dismissed as unpopped kernals in a popcorn vendor's wagon.
Or perhaps there are other reasons for taking shots at this game here?

I thought it was a great game. Two factions that were lead by well-meaning, but flawed leaders. Neither Tullius nor Ulfric would devolve into a monster if you opposed them, and both men maintained their sanity even if they became an antagonist to your protagonist. Neither the Legion nor the Stormcloaks are perfect groups, and they both have flaws if you support their efforts in the civil war, but they aren't villified or comprised of caricatures, either. I genuinely like that the Legion and the Stormcloaks are imperfect groups lead by imperfect leaders, and that there's good and bad with each one instead of an unending sea of caricatures and one-note villains.
I also appreciated that the protagonist could be proactive, and even rise to power in the nine Holds of Skyrim. We could see changes with some of our actions. We had different opportunities to end certain tasks differently - including some of the Daedric Quests (like the Black Star). The Dragonborn could investigate a murder, research the clues, and solve the case, instead of ignoring the evidence found. The protagonist could also stop a murder attempt, instead of standing idly by like a piece of furniture. If you thought someone should die, there was often the opportunity to kill them (like Astrid, when she asks you to kill three people to repay the debt owed to the Dark Brotherhood), rather than letting them go to continue murdering and killing people if you thought they should be stopped.
I don't think Skyrim is perfect, but I enjoyed it in spite of its flaws. I think the DLC for Skyrim should be pretty good, if they maintain the same level if effort that they put into the main game.

A few months ago I was in the exact same position you're describing (with the exception of alchemy, which I fell in love with the very first day I got the game).KotorEffect3 wrote...
Decided to roll with a wood elf assassin/archer as an alternative to the nord two hand warriors I usualy play and I am finding it is actualy pretty fun using a bow as my primary weapon (especialy using sneak to snipe enemy NPCs before they know I am there). Also using this character as an opportunity to develop skills I have neglected before such as alchemy
And yes, archery opened up a whole new dimension to the game. As did sneaking around.. Today I still maintain that Skyrim does archery better than any game I've ever played.

You don't have to go far to find masses of people who will tell you that COD is the best series of shooters ever made; that the franchise revolutionized the genre.

Except that it isn't. Very rarely does anything awesome happen when you press the 'shout button', as none of the shouts in this game are any good. Even Fus Ro Dah lacks awesomeness because it doesn't kill anyone... unless you Fus Ro Dah them off a high ledge/mountain/cliff, in which case you have to trudge your way down (which could take forever) if you want to loot their body.

Awesome button card won't work on me because I loathe Dragon Age 2
This game is great in certain merits BUT it seems truly repetitive with it's mass of quests that lack creativity. It's boring linear gameplay, easy/boring puzzles, bugs (yeah, bethesda and bugs. Surprise!), annoying voice acting and fragmented storyline. Streamlined for worse. (Is it ever for better?)
Of course, many of the Bethesda's awful design choices I replaced with mods. (Animations, Combat system, Cooldowns, Prices, Sounds, Weather, Skills, etc) Now I am waiting for some major story based mods that will put Bethesda to shame once again just like Nehrim did with Oblivion.
My 200 hours in Skyrim ( with a very slight possibility of continuation) stand weak in comparison to New Vegas' 900.
Ahh but I feel bad for console folks. They get to play a really dull version of Skyrim.

I hope so. They said they'll make large DLCs - ones that open new locations perhaps beyond frozen tundra.

You'd have to mod it to reduce cooldown to 1 sec and give it extremely powerful kickback for it to be the "awesome button of Skyrim"

My Daggerfall High Elf is longing to get to Skyrim after 200 years in absentia and teach that lowly Nord scum a lesson. Who knows, maybe she even became the leader of the Thalmor after her good friend Uriel Septim VII was murdered and the Empire fell into the hands of undeserving opportunists, only to be challenged by even less deserving opportunists.
Only a Thalmor empire can cleanse the corruption off the face of Tamriel and usher in a new grand age of peace and prosperity. And more importantly, without boorish Nords.

It's very possible the DLCs will take place in Morrowind and Cyrodiil, as both provinces are fully coded into the game.
