I wonder too if Argonians and Khajiit's can craft weapons for their tails, like a spike or some sharp edge.
Doubtful that would be in Skyrim, maybe a mod idea

You have no idea how badly I would abuse that xD Gaurenteed every Kajiit from every town (except maybe certain guild members, quest charecters, and maybe shopkeepers) will all have a disposition of zero toward me by the time I'm done with the game!ErichHartmann wrote...
I wish we could yank on a Khajiit's tail to get his/her attention or make them angry.

Yes having seperate animations for them both would have been preferable but with the limitations of the time it was good enough. The Baconer wrote...
Yes, instead Khajiit and Argonians were proper reskins of each other.GodWood wrote...
It made the khajiit and agonians actually look like proper seperate races instead of just being reskins of the others.
Besides how is having the beast races simply be reskins of every other race better?
Argonians were just grey humans in Arena and then freaky lizards in Daggerfall.Anyway, Argonians were plantigrade in Arena and Daggerfall, then Morrowind comes out and I find out that my favorite race can't wear full helms, can't wear any kind of foot armor, and in a game that's already full of terrible animations they get the derpiest ones.
Visual consistency was never one of their virtues.
Personally I loved the handicaps placed on the beast races. Made them feel more unique. And it was the walking animations that made me roll a khajiit for my first playthrough.
And how is the Oblivion version better? The design also doesn't make sense biologically. Lizards don't have digitigrade legs, and dinosaurs like the Raptor used its tail to balance on their legs. The Argonian tail is used to propel themselves forward while swimming, while on land it just hangs downward, so they're not using it for balance.
Instead of using their tail to propel themselves underwater they just swim like every other race.
Besides I don't think real world biology is worth considering when their females have bloody ******.

Our concepts of reptiles and cats have no weight in a fantasy game, especially in The Elder Scrolls, just to put that out. I agree with you about how terrible the beast races looked in Morrowind, though. The Baconer wrote...

Every race is a reskin of every other race, their variety lies within the subtle (if you can call it that) visual differences and their racial bonuses. If Bethesda wants to make Argonians and Khajiits humanoid as well then I don't have a problem with that. They already have their own unique aesthetics so I don't see how making them Creatures of the Derp would be any better.
Argonians were just grey humans in Arena and then freaky lizards in Daggerfall.
Visual consistency was never one of their virtues.
But their bodytype did stay the same, which was my point. They could have made them digitigrade (Werewolves, Wereboars) but they didn't.
Personally I loved the handicaps placed on the beast races. Made them feel more unique. And it was the walking animations that made me roll a khajiit for my first playthrough.
I love their unique traits that don't handicap them (water breathing, eye of fear etc). Whatever floats your boat, I guess. I don't like thinking "How the hell can something evolve to walk like that?" Every time I go into 3rd person.
And how is the Oblivion version better? Instead of using their tail to propel themselves underwater they just swim like every other race.
Their tail does have a swimming animation.
Besides I don't think real world biology is worth considering when their females have bloody ******.
I don't care for that either, but I guess they have to appease the furries.

YES, PLEASE. The elf voices in Oblivion were quite annoying. The male elves sound complete wusses (By azura, by azura, BY AZURA) like pansies and the female elves sound too elderly (Though I liked the voice in Morrowind, don't know why). The dark elf voice in morrowind sounded creepy but cool at the same time.J0HNL3I wrote...
I hope since all the races are meant to be very different this time round we get the morrowind dark elf voice back, it's so cool.

I remember hearing some leaked recording of the private demo, it was only audio, and at the part where you see the Dunmer wrapped in the spider web , you can hear him talking. It sounds more like Morrowind than Oblivion.J0HNL3I wrote...

Yeah. I was underwhelmed with the Redguard in Oblivion. Just IMO, but with all the improvement we've seen so far I'm sure it'll be good.

In the 30-minute E3 demo, Arvel the Swift, the Dunmer rogue who gets caught in a spiderweb, has this voice; however, it might be different in the final game.Gameiac wrote...
I just want Dunmer to have chain-smoker voices again
this is confirmed. scaling will be FO3 style, not like Oblivion.Gameiac wrote...
and for the world to have MUCH less level scaling....

What worries me is that it seems Bethesda is incapable of so much as uttering "Morrowind" when they answered questions; everything is compared to Oblivion.
This is natural, don't you think?
for example, when Oblivion was released, I doubt the devs mentioned Daggerfall or Arena as much as Morrowind, which was the launching point for discussion of Oblivion's new features

hahahahaha thats true and you cant go bringing in all this talk of biological correctness when you'll probebly be running around slaying dragons, trolls and getting fireballs lobbed of your head, but i do understand where your coming from since it would make it a bit more realistic haveing that evolutionary touch to it.

Pft I do, I used to give money in Oblivion to the homeless people that needed help feeding the kids and such. Now after giving them money, I will fallow them around and if there are no children I will murder them in the street for telling me lies.
