So crawl back into the annals of the Great War and be forgotten, Blades - no one will miss you.

^Witcher 2 is actually a pretty short game. You could, for example, catch the announcement tomorrow, then play Witcher 2, and be done with it by the weekened, probably well before even the Xbox version of the DLC comes out.
Seriously?
Ew.

Yeah, the Blades can kiss my ass - I'll never stab Paarthurnax or the Greybeards in the back just to make that ****y innkeeper that I don't even like happy.

I'll miss them, the idea seems cool to me. But I agree, I'm not about to backstab people for no reason when they've redeemed themselves.

I mean he is like the Dragon version of Obi-wan Kenobi.
What sold me is how Paarthurnax who is THOUSANDS of years old fought Alduin with me, while Delphine hid behind a bush as I battled a dragon.
All Paarthurnax wanted was for me to shout once. The Blades make you run all over before they believe you.
I hope they have being left alone DEEP inside Forsworn territory since I am not ever going to go near them again.

Depends on how fast you play. You can't properly say you've played the game until you've at least done both paths, so I'd say 60 hours. Not as long as Skyrim or Witcher 1, of course.EternalAmbiguity wrote...

Paarthurnax was chillin with Kyne and helping the human race while the Blades weren't even a twinkle in Reman Cyrodiil's eye. Delphine and Esbern can step right off.Giggles_Manically wrote...
You know they should have talked to Paarthurnax before condemning him.

By that token, you could say a playthrough of DA ][, which of course you must go pro-mage and then pro-templar, is 80 hours.

LOL No, no, no. There are actual differences in TW2 based on your choices.EternalAmbiguity wrote...

*looks around* So yeah... Skyrim! I am playing Witcher now, but am looking forward to the DLC news. The only bummer is that I'm pretty sure there won't be more Ulfric.

I honestly hope the whole thing with the Falmer turns out to be legit - I was hoping for something related to the Thalmor originally, but this rumor now takes precedence as I'd very much like to learn more about the Snow Elves (and perhaps even the Dwemer?).
Wouldn't count Ulfric or the Thalmor out just yet, though - there's a lot of room for expansion on the Civil War storyline, and I'd think Bethesda to be foolish for not seizing the opportunity.

No, it's quite a bit different with TW2, as the "paths" being discussed here happen to be completely different game chapters. One path literally takes you to a different city than the other one for the whole of the second chapter of the game.EternalAmbiguity wrote...

The draw back to this is that a single playthrough tends to be brief, because a huge chunk of the game gets closed off to you due to the path you choose to take. And, as pointed out, you really do need to play the game twice to see everything and to understand the full scope of the story. But that's a good thing IMO. Anyway, I usually drag out a playthrough and make it last about 30 hours by seriously indulging in the mini-games (arm wrestling, dice poker, tavern brawls.) They're all incredibly addictive things to do, and you can easily blow several hours of game play doing them.

What? Is that the rumor? Falmer DLC?
I really need to get back into Skyrim - I've been playing TW2 (finished Iorveth's path), and a few other things (FONV, DAO), but nothing has really stuck with me. I'm actually playing a new ME2 run right now - I guess I was feeling nostalgic.

Makes me sad to play such an awesome RPG and then look at Bioware's recent efforts.

There are sections of a recent patch that refer to "the Snow Prince" and to crossbow animations. There was also an amusing fake post about visiting Soltheism (or however it's spelled) in the new DLC.

Actully there is a way around that, namely doing all the blades quests first and talking only to the dude. He can be talked out of it with some luck, or at least no hard feelings. The Woman though, well you'ld have a better chance of talking the SS into letting you go and being someone they want dead.
Also any news on the DLC yet?

Then a month more after its release to play it?
Amazing.

Let the speculation begin I guess.
Does this have to do with Dawnstar? Azura god of dusk and dawn? Bethesda only dropping a name and picture?
