In fact being from the RTS modding community I consider 3/4s of Skyrims "mods" to be insults. Skin Packs and changes like that Arn't mods. Not that I dislike such programs I just don't see them as mods at all.

360 player Obiwan. Plus as a PC player partially I don't like mods that add what a game SHOULD of had. I mainly prefer large expansions or TC's when it comes to mods.

360 Player here too, but I really like the idea of that guy that's adding mod's for the rest of Tamriel

But yeah I wonder what happend to the "360 wil have mods" most likley MS is pissed its getting no money from such a thing. Honestly after early 2013 I'm not sure I'll have anything to do with microsoft in terms of consoles. Well not if they keep trying to push a movie-box system for the new "gamer" crowd.
@gigs, thats what I did lulz, minus Person was people. As I had to fight my way out.

I'm not even sure what to say to that. I honestly didn't look. I mean...it's a horse. Yikes!
Yes, so...back to books. I wandered into Dead Men's Respite last night, and got the last verse of King Olaf. I was surprised that the events unfolded without the quest being active yet, but yay! I tromped over to Solitude, and Viarmo thought my Dunmer was the shiz for being so well prepared.
A great mission. Another example of great storytelling with Olaf One Eye. Really liked Dead Man's Respite combat-wise. IIRC from my last playthrough, it was loaded with Draugr Deathlords right? That may have been a function of being over level 40 though.

The closest thing to that I ever found was Pilgrim's trench with those ships REALLY far down.
I felt like Jacques Cousteau exploring the ocean blue.
In full plate armor with a dragon priest mask on though.
Still its REALLY deep.

I stumbled in there at level 10, so they were just regular Dragr, with a few Restless Draugr, and two Draugr Scourges. Nothing too bad at that low level, yet.
Yeah, I can never remember the "correct" version of the story, so I think I try something different every time. Only once has Viarmo told me nobody would buy it. The whole Numinex/Olaf story is intriguing to me, though. I wonder what is actually the truth?

Is that the area near Illinata's Deep (by the Lady stone)? I went swimming in that area last night, and saw lots of sunken ships. Sadly, I didn't have any potions, spells, or enchantments to breathe underwater.
Edit: Nevermind, I'm probably way off.

I did jump off the cliff near Winterhold trying to see if they put any old buildings down there.
Sadly no.

I purposely don't travel with Shadowmere because I don't want a dragon to kill her.
SHE'S A MARE DAMN IT, I DON'T CARE WHAT SKYRIM TRIES TO TELL ME. SHE'S A MARE AND ANYONE WHO CALLS HER A STALLION IS BAD AND SHOULD FEEL BAD. DO YOU SEE A PENOR UNDER THERE!? NO!?
GOOD.

After the ME3 debacle, I turned my attention to The Witcher 2. The very first roadblock for me was that I HAD to play as a guy, and it HAD to be Geralt. I'm a girl. I realize it would have gone against the lore, but seriously, would it have been that difficult to just let me play a female version? Name her Sheralt or something. OK, fine, fine, I'm stuck playing Geralt. FINE.Yrkoon wrote...

LOL to each his own. The Witcher 2 is probably the best one in your list there, but it's nowhere near the calibur of Skyrim, it Simply does a couple thing better (Story, melee combat, and arguably graphics.) But it suffers from what I call Narrative constriction, which is a huge negative in RPGs. (and NO, the amazing Chapter 2 Plot Fork doesn't mean you've got "freedom and agency") An RPG that forces you to be a named, fully defined Character with no weapon style choices, then forces you down its singular, pre-defined narrative, does NOT win game of the year over an RPG that lets you be anyone, do anything, and go anywhere...for hundreds of hours.
And don't get me started on Witcher 2's bizzare UI, which almost seems like it was deliberately designed to be a mini-game on its own.
I had a tough time getting used to the combat, because the buttom mapping seemed a little weird on the 360. I got used to it, but between that and the bizarre arena tutorial, it took me a little while. I agree with your assessment of the mini-game. So I have to hold left bumper, then hit A to meditate...or hold the left bumper, then use the left stick to pick a sign, then hit A....ugh. Just trying to see the stats on what you were wearing was a pain.
So, getting into the story, I did think it was cool that the story completely split in two. My husband played Roche's path, I played Iorveth's path. By the end of the game, my character was insanely overpowered, and I could basically just stand there when attacked, and not take any damage. I got to the end, and was like, "meh". It wasn't really earth-shattering.
I had planned to play a second time, to try out the other path, but guess what I'm playing instead? That's right. Skyrim.
Skyrim offers freedom like no other. Lots of people don't know, as well, that a crafting spell is given for mages. Transmutate...its an Alteration spell

Permanent Custom Markers.
For example- I'm at a beautiful spot in Skyrim right now.
Standing on a fallen tree that creates a path from one rock formation to the next, over and next to a bunch of waterfalls.
Its absolutely beautiful and I recall seeing something similar in Upstate NY.
I'd love to come back here- but how do I remember where it is?
My recommendation would be for the player to be able to set permanent markers on the map, naming them as well so they can remember what is located there.
Also, the color of the marker should be different from other markers on the map to signify that the player created those markers.
I think it would be a wonderful way to remember where you left an item, a viewpoint, or anything the player desires.

I'm no mage build, but I've made a ton of gold with transmutate. I mine and hoard iron ingot like nobody's business. It is easily my most used spell.
