I help all of the Daedric princes. I like their loot, and I don't mind the cost. Image IPB

And that is why they will take your soul >>

Actully I haven't found pretty much anything any of them give me useful. Then again I did rush as fast as possible with smithing and made Daedric armor and weapons. So yeah not much I can get that is better, if anything at all.

Azura may not be the nicest god.

She could have told Nerevar how to screw the dwarves over just to get back at them for being rude to her.
Or mutated all the Dunmer for the Tribunal ignoring her.
Or may have dicked over all off Morrowind and the Dunmer to get at the Tribunal through the Neravarine.

I seriously doubt that she is a "nice" Daedra if any of those is true.
They may not be true be I dont think she can be said to be very nice.

I never said that she was nice. Its just mostly working for her doesn't come at the price of my soul or some insane act.

POWERRRRR PLAYERRRRRRR!

Nah I'm just poking fun at ya. But honestly, I find Skyrim to become very boring once you get full daedric gear and you're super over-powered. I did that once, got bored, started a new character. Now I never make overpowered min-maxed characters, I just roleplay my way through Skyrim, do whatever the hell I fancy with that particular character and see where it all ends up to. I'm currently playing with my assassin (who's a vampire) once again. I love that guy. Being a assassin vampire is really challenging but super fun if you're good at it.

I hate this new Keyboard. So many typo's ah well.

I noticed that btw. The power I mean. It can get boring at times, but given I was doing a dualist warrior build at first I had trouble finding steel plate armor, and well mages, yep at low levels if your not a mage they will rape that build. So after hitting several bandit camps and finding no leaders with the steel plate I went right on and smithed Daedra. On my previous run which took a little longer I had actully made and worn a suit of each armor progressively.

Actully what I'ld like to see in TES is the armor to be tied to your armor skill. So you know you can't jsut do what I did on that run and get the best right then and there.

Lol I'll have to use it more I think. But yeah her an Azura I tend to not mind helping.

Meridia, yes, but Azura?

She's the worst kind of evil.  The deceptive kind.  At least Molag Bal and and Namirra  are straight forward and honest with their  Evil intentions from the start.  But Azura...  She'll feign goodness until things don't go her way. then She'll   hideously  damn your entire race  over the smallest perceived slight against her will.

Since my character did all the Daedric Quests himself, I imagine the Daedra are gonna be battling each other over who gets him. Hahahaha

Well considering your actually an Aedra somewhat I think you get some say in it.

Though probably Shor will fight for you too.

Yeah Azura is a real ****.

She killed a Dwemer just because he tricked her.
She cursed the Dunmer for their leaders killing Nerevar and defying her wish.
She brought about all of Morrowind's woes because of the Tribunal.

Not a nice lady.

Well I finally caved in and DL'd Dovahkiin Hideout and am going to use it as my primary residence. I used to think it was way too much...that is, until I simply accumulated too much good stuff that I'm just not willing to part with. At least I can see it all now on mannequins and weapon racks, instead of shoving it all into a few chests.

I modded the hell out of Breezehome, trying to make myself stay put. I've just given up. I'm a quitter.

I am using a regular bow, and it didn't occur to me to freaking use a Bound bow. OMG. I am an idiot.

Umm, problem is Bound Bow is an Adept level spell (i.e. Conjuration 50 Minimum)  I don't think your Conjuration is that high right?

Quite true. I'll start working on Conjuration, pronto. I do know how to spam it, to increase the level quickly, but I'm trying to let things level up more organically in this playthrough. I guess I just need to kill more stuff to soul trap, then reanimate them.
Image IPB

Spellbooks become available a bit before reaching the actual skill level. I guess for Adept level spells that would be somewhere between 40 and 45 skill in Conjuration... and that's not too difficult to achieve.
Soul Trap raises Conjuration rather quickly. Plus you can always use trainers to speed up the process.
Getting Mystic Bound Bow costs only 2 perks, so it's worth it IMO. Doubly so if if put any perks in Conjuration anyway (then it's just 1 perk away).

Yes, a Deadric Bow smithed to legendary and with top tier arrows will be better. But I don't find many top-tier arrows myself and I tend to stay away from smithing on a robed mage (maybe except the rare jewlery trinket)...

More annoying is the summoning noise (till you get that Illusion Silent Casting perk that is) and the need to recast it frequently. But it's totally worth it, IMVHO. And it looks so badass too!

A perk that allows you to Conjure quietly.

Would a Dragon Age game ever put that detail into their gameplay mechanics?

Old BioWare would have.

I disagree with the Mystic Binding perk investment as the damage boost is not much (48 vs 42).  For a build not focused on Conjuration as a primary, the 2 perks will be better spent elsewhere until one has perks to burn.

As for smithing, the perk investment to get Arcane + Daedric Smithing is heavy @ 6 perks.  My Rogue-Mage merely expended 2 perks for Arcane Smithing and used in-game enchanted stuff (she incinerated Astrid for her Shrouded Armour & Blade of Woe) until past level 50 when she really had perks to expend on frills.

Recasting may or may not be a problem.  A issue with Bound Weapons is that you lose it once you unequip it, which means for the 2-handed battleaxe and bow you can't mix it with spells (you can with Bound Sword in one hand and spell in other hand).

However, if you use the Bound Weapon nearly exclusively during its duration like my Rogue Mage for sneak attack sniping in dark dungeons (you still can use Shouts, I must have used Throw Voice about two dozen times per dungeon), then it is not really significant.

I've got the Dwemer Air-Ship.

As in, ship that's in the air.

It's pretty awesome. Though, I wish I'd had to pay something for it. It felt a little like cheating to just start up and suddenly have this massive ship.

That's before Archery skill, Archery perks (+100%), Sneak Attacks (x3) and Criticals (20% to cause 250%?).
If an enemy is charging at you, it's quite important to kill him in as few shots, as possible. Perhaps killing enemies from Stealth before they manage to detect you is even more important.

Maybe not worth it as a secondary weapon, but if it's you're primary source of dealing damage, then every bit helps and these 6 are pretty significant. And it's a very good primary weapon for a robed rogue mage.

Old Bioware did in NWN1 which is based off of 3E D&D; perhaps why it ain't in DA.

That's true, but that was basing on a published game system and, arguably, the significance of the perk was much lesser there. I don't think it affected detection in any way?

Would only allow you to cast spells in the (rare) scenario of getting the Silenced status ailment. Or maybe casting Silence Radius on yourself and trying to silence other casters by coming near them, while you're still able to cast (but I think it was bugged for denying the enemies their saving throws, so a bit of an epxloit, rather then a legitimate pvp tactics).

I would submit that with sufficently high Steath and careful playing, a rogue can sneak into a dungeon and sneak kill practically everything (except some scripted fights or in places too illuminated to sneak easily) without being discovered.  At later levels, strong enemies (e.g. Deathlords and Dragon Priests) won't die to a single sneak attack arrow, so the key is to keep moving to prevent discovery.

Unless you are at such long range that you can snipe away with impunity (The Man Who Cried Wolf had my rogue mage raining endless arrows down on hapless necromancers from the starting high perch)

You're talking about Meridia. She's the daedric prince of mortal and all living things. She hates undead, necromancy and necromancers. She is quite friendly and indeed once of the few good daedric princes.

Umaril allied herself with Meridia. She allowed her Aurorans to kill Dibella's clergy in Anvil. She also destroyed an Ayleid city.

That is my point. Since Silent Spell and Silence were implemented at all into NWN1, and Bioware went away from the complications of a published title to that of an independent intellectual property, they may have wanted to  distance themslves from an appearance of plagerism.

Just a short question out of curiosity:

Who do you guys usually marry in Skyrim (if you marry at all)?

I often choose to marry Camilla when I'm not playing a Nord. I don't like it when women are bigger than my character, so I don't want to marry any Nord woman when I'm playing an Imperial or Breton character.
When I play a Nord character, I often marry one of the Nord women. Not Lydia or Aela though (I know they're both very populair), because they don't open a shop in your home. Since I do want my wife to open a shop and earn us some money, I often marry one of the shopkeepers (Camilla most of the time, like I said earlier).

What about you guys?

I can't remember Meridia ever destroying an Ayleid city. That doesn't sound like her.

But anyway, what's the point you're trying to make? That she's evil? I think she isn't. Well, even if she is, she's much less evil than the other Daedric Princes. Well, Lady Nocturnal is also not that evil (I actually kinda like her).
