Touching the orb causes a Dwemer cage to ensnare you as the orb rotates around the outside several times, shrieking until the floor gives way. As you plummet hundreds of feet below the surface of Skyrim, you can guide your fall. If done properly, you will survive by landing in a deep pool of water littered with the bones of a mammoth.

Inside is the "ruin" (which is just a trap, really) - the fall leads you to a small Falmer settlement in the tunnels surrounding the underground lake. I don't remember finding anything particularly special there - but it does lead back into Stony Creek Cave, so you can knock out both dungeons in one go if you'd like.

After I rein in Odahviing, I think I'll kill him - he's of no use to anyone after that as AFAIK. Nazeem and Heimskr will join him.

Its just so old I have to play Skyrim on its lowest settings to avoid lag. Now I cant get Skyrim to work anymore, nor any of my games.
Time to go to memory express and get a new laptop.
Still its getting old anyway, and I would like to play Skyrim on something besides low for once.

...you know something? I hate Farengar Secret-Fire - he just might be the most patronizing ass of a character in the game. Every word that comes out of his mouth drips with condescension, and his voice actor is annoying as hell on top of that.

nah! Big O takes care of him well enough for me, and the Dragonborn can coerce the wizard to remain inside by threatening to call Big O again. At least, this is my reasoning.
The game is full of these cretins though, so plot away! I suggest Riftin, Markarth and Solitude as possible locations, as well as that pompous drunk in Ivarstead; Bass. Speak to him casually for an insight to this fop.

Hey, have any of you guys been to Kagrenzel? I don't think I ever stumbled upon it. It doesn't sound like it's very big, but I thought this sounded interesting:Touching the orb causes a Dwemer cage to ensnare you as the orb rotates around the outside several times, shrieking until the floor gives way. @greengoron: Why do you even listen to Farengar? I don't talk to him except to buy and sell stuff. I like the VA, he also does cutie pie Vorstag.

Even when Vex kept sending your character to Markarth and Solitude for her lousy jobs? I somehow doubt it.happy_daiz wrote...
My Dragonborn doesn't take a freaking carriage. That's for milk-drinkers.

Over 800+ hrs here, and not one ride in a carriage. Fast Travel is good enough for me, plus the usual means of transport.

LOL, once I find a place (by walking), I do fast travel, but it's not using a carriage. Right? RIGHT?

My game has been broken ever since patch 1.5. The crashes have been worse and the shadows in the game are completely screwed up to a point where I'm forced to turn them off all together.

I was playing and all was fine for hours (except for me being stuck in Azura's Star, that is), but just now my shadows went crazy as well. Grr, and my game looked so beautiful.

Ha, glorious! I can't tell you how sick I was of having to get off the damn horse everytime I ran into a pack of wolves or a bear - I actually stopped riding horses altogether because of it at one point.
I hope it's similar to the horseback combat in Twilight Princess - it was fun and very intuitive in that game.

I stopped working for Vex. Frigid ***** can do her own dirty work if she's so brilliant. At least Devlin has a scrap of personality and charm.HoonDing wrote...

BTW... are you/ were you virumor?
I don't use horses so the new update won't mean much to me. The only character who rode at all was my assassin, but I guess mounted archery could be fun.
