The thing is they dont HAVE a nation anymore since High Rock and Hammerfall sacked it.
Which is why Orcs live in Strongholds again.

I do like Malacath though.
He really seems like one of those dads who are stand offish but really cares for his kids, he just does not come out and say it. Besides he has the coolest statue.

I do love Orcish armor though, just looks really hardcore.

Really, when did that happen? (not doubting you I'm just rusty on the lore outside of the last two games besides skyrim.) Still The Empire seems the best chance for them, everyone else either hates them or looks down on them. The Empire always has Orc Soldiers in its ranks, which I wonder why we seen none in any of the games...I mean we know Lore wise they do, I wonder why they never just coded in a few Orcs in Imperial Armor..oh well.

Hmm he's okay but I wouldn't say his good, not evil either, basically he is the Orcs.

My Orc smashed Boethiah's cult.

I so bet Malacath looked at her said "HA HA!"

...which happened under the empire's watch.  If you can call it a watch.  And Skyrim gave them land to settle in, just as they did with the Dunmer after Vvardenfell.  But it's the imperials who supposedly so open minded.  Image IPB

And who was going to stop them exactly?

There was no Emperor at the time, only that High Elf dude from Oblivion really.
It was EARLY on and its not until far later the Mede's show up as Emperor.

They dont get a pass on it, but they probably did not care since it was not lost to them, like...half the continent was.

Reading though...I dont know if its a province or just an area where Orc's own the land....
Or even if they really own the land their strongholds are on.

Probably if my Orc sides with Ulfric he can get them to allow the Nord strongholds to be permanent towns.
Why not have people who kick ass and take names and make great gear in your country?

BTW just saw on Bethsoft that Zenimax has registered an IP for something called "Hearthfire."  Could be the 2nd DLC for Skyrim, since that's how we found out about Dawnguard.  Hearthfire is a month in the Tamriel calendar corresponding to September.  There's a necromantic holiday during that month.  Maybe they'll do something Halloween themed.

That could be where they introduce seasonal weather and changes too if they are celebrating actual holidays. Very interesting.

I've played an orc for a while. The best part for my was their deity

The stories recount that Boethiah "ate" Trinimac and excreted the dung that is Malacath, although Malacath derides the story as being too "literal-minded".

Don't have a picture of him uploaded, but he had a dreadlocks mohawk and some really large sideburns.

Well the Orcs have served the empire a long time and do have there own small nation state in Highrock. The Empire would be the best bet for an Orc really. Ulfric would thank you by setting fire to the enclaves.

Ulfric seems pretty focused on strengthening Skyrim and kicking the crap out if the Thalmor, probably in the style of Nada from "They Live." And while Galmar says a lot of crap, he doesn't prohibit non-Nords from entering the Stormcloaks (as this is an actual discussion you can have with him) and can be convinced your serious by telling him that Skyrim is home to more than just Nords.

I wonder if Bethesda ever gets annoyed that people figure things out MONTHS before they announce it?

I mean its probably going to be a long time before they even drop an official hint on it.

The internet always figures things out months in advance, Dawnguard already got a lot of people talking about it. I guess it could be considered a form of viral marketing which is good in a way.

I figure game devs use rumor as part of their marketing scheme. Having people talk about your game in a buzz generating way is a good thing.

Yeah I think they said once they would make three DLC's in total, don't qoute me on that I just think I read that once, but makes sense for them to make more than one. I just with they would do like Fallout NV and just lay all the cards on the table but not tell much on them, so we know at least how many we are getting.

Perhaps, but they deserve it.

Lets not forget that this is a company who  recently   spent almost a whole  month promoting a  reveal,  only to have that reveal be nothing more than a one word announcement.

I understand the power of word of mouth, viral interwebs  speculation and all that stuff, but those things are supposed to be tools, not crutches.  If Dawnguard is so close to release  (when's it supposed to come out, next month?)  We should, by now, have at least some info on it beyond just its title.

They should take all the time they need.  Much better that than "DLC" ripped from the game disc or rushed crap.

Perhaps I misread, but a Gamespot E3 message seemed to suggest that Dawnguard may include some of those features we have been seeing/ getting in patches (eg; Lycanthrope perks). It would be nice to have them on hardcopy, as well as an accompanied story.

I wonder if Ulfric/Tullius ever gets worried about the Dragonborn.

I mean my main is the leader of three guilds, a thane in every hold, a war hero, the DRAGONBORN and one of the best ass kickers in the land.
Sure you could say that if you help them they trust you, but on the other hand you have to wonder...they helped topple one power why not another?

I mean how hard would it be for the dragonborn to start ANOTHER war, if they gained enough power? Like HALF the Jarls owe their jobs to you, and how many people owe you favors?

I know Bethesda wont do anything about it, but seriously I wonder if the Empire/Stormcloaks ever think that this very powerful person can be totally trusted.

Then again my main prefers kicking back in Whiterun and going hunting. Then again I doubt that Ulfric is the type to distrust someone he calls a brother in arms. Tullius though...I think he might be worried.

Well they don't take you in their inner circle, do they?

Ulfric wouldn't have to worry if the dragonborn were his queen and cranking out heirs.

Same way they did in Morrowind, or Oblivion.

In the Former have him vanish or the island blow up, in the later s/he becomes a god and leaves all wordly powers behind.
On that note I wish we had seen Jygglag (sp) you'ld figure he'ld have worshipers by now, oh well maybe in future DLC.

The Dawnguard trailer looks great!

Looks like we can join some interesting new vampire and vampire hunter factions...

I don't have sound at work, someone give me the 411 on the DLC. Other than flying vampire lords which I can see for myself. What's the premise?

Dawnguard.
Guarding the Dawn.
Who would attack or try to prevent the dawn?
Vampires.

Did anyone get that before this trailer? Good lord that was too obvious.

Vampire lord wants to collect all the scrolls and block out the sun. The Dawnguard aims to stop them. And thats it pretty much.
