The problem Bioware has is where you and some others see "changes" that you do not mind, more of the hiterto satisfied customers dislike the removal of elements which they do mind. That is why "when you press a button, something awesome has to happen" has become a joke.
I did not care for all the changes either; missed Kill Scenes a lot, as well as being able to upload new BSN portraits. And I pref DAO as a game.
But overall I was pleased, and was challenged in gameplay without having to use NM I am willing to overlook what some others see as flaws, and am now a fan of full VO, though I would like more exact phrasing in choices.
That's a nice opinion, but sadly the majority of the BioWare fanbase disagrees. And DA2 isn't the only BioWare game that has problems. Mass Effect 3 suffers from the same problems: Weak story, lots of plotholes, too much "streamlining", and both games f*cked us with launch-day DLC. I've just had about enough of EA trying to nickel-and-dime us every single time with all of their games, trying to make us pay as much as possible and as often as possible in order to be able to enjoy the game in it's "full glory" (relatively speaking, as DA2 and ME3 were not really that glorious). Sure, we got some free multiplayer DLC for ME3, but that was obsiouly a combination of damage control after the ending controversy and trying to promote the multiplayer in ME3. It is very obvious to me that EA wanted to turn Mass Effect into another mainstream video-game that appeals to the "CoD crowd". This is obvious if we look at how the design of ME3 was handled in comparison to ME1.
TL;DR version: I f*cking hate EA and I think EA should just vanish from the video-game industry because everything they lay their hands on gets destroyed.
