I don't know, I'd like to think we can get crossbows anywhere, as well as craft our own Daedric/Dragonbone Crossbows.

That would be cool as hell.

Stronger than longbows, faster to shoot than longbows, can have a bolt ready to be fired at all times, and the only real negative is a longer reload animation.

I'll take it. I won't give up my bow and arrows, but I'll keep a crossbow and bolts at the ready.

UGH just started my new game finally after so many different distractions (dogs barking A LOT) and as soon as I enter indoor area flickering shadows like crazy.
I googled the problem and it seems everyone only has it outside when my problem is inside. I really wanted to play and I'm tired of something keeping me from enjoying it.

Not too big a deal.  A little wierdness with the light never hurt anyone.
But here's the irony I get through the start and I just have no desire to play right now.
Maybe its how tired I am but I get all the mods working and do everything so it will run perfectly when I play and i just don't feel like it right now LMAO.

Khajit thief duel weilder / archer.  Magic is so beyond his capabilitys that even spells you start out with won't be used.
He's not completely evil but he is selfish.  Won't do anything for anyone unless it benefits him in some way.
Oh and he has absolutely no sense of direction (ironic being a cat) getting lost is exactly how he ended up in Skyrim.

^I sometimes have the same shadow problem as you (both inside and outside) and I noticed it occurs after I have used alt+tab to return to windows and then return to the game. Did you happen to do that as well? In that case a few more alt+tab tries or restarting the game may fix it.

I wonder if you'll keep the vampire stages as well when you become a Vampire Lord.

This game wont let me alt+tab out and considering how many times I left to configure settings and check mods I don't think its that either.

So Dawnguard comes out the 26th this month for Xbox.
And the 26th of July for everyone else.

Guess I can accept that.
Now to avoid spoilers for 30 days.

Still its kind of easy to do since I have my Dark Brotherhood chap to play...and my Breton, then my argonian...then a Redguard...then my other nord.

I am constantly amazed at how I'm still finding new areas to explore- somehow I totally missed Arcwind Point.

I'm loving the horseback riding mods and some of the follower mods- I'm rolling with my party of five, charging across Skyrim. I think I'm going to start dabbling in the Creation Kit now. I really want to try making a custom house/castle. Some of the ones I've seen are neat but not quite right.

I can't wait for dawnguard really. My main short of instant quests or unmarked area's has nothing else to do at all. I have a 2nd play with a guy at 20 though. Plan not to use him much, but as the DLC's come. My tester so to speak.

Arcwind point is so epic.

But the best thing is that its set so far out of the way you can miss it.
Its that little thrill you get finding something new that makes playing Skyrim so worth it.

Now if only I could connect to Steam to get some more mods...

Is there any point to playing a two handed vampire warrior with heavy armor? I'd like to try it out for the sake of variety but a vampire's abilities don't function well with that. I'd also consider putting stealth and illusion in that skillset, to create some sort of hybrid. However I don't know how difficult that could be.

I don't think there's a 'wrong' way to build a character in Skyrim. Whilst focusing on more skillsets might make you weaker in the long run, I think it's more fun that way not powerlevelling so the game remains harder for longer.

Yeah I guess I'll see what I do with that. I think I'll focus more on warrior talents and put a smaller focus on sneak and any other magics. It is going to be interesting when I make this character. Most of the time I really use unusual builds for some reason, I don't like to stick to common builds I guess. Sometimes it does make things harder if I don't do it right.
