Hey if you find tacky BS that ruins the very concept of a badass warrior in a cold climate than more power to you.
Some of us find it silly and retarded.

Well (without mods) all the revealing armor (fur/hide/studded) is utter crap.

Then again they do use the breast plate trope/

Just to get a good laugh at what passes for "sexy" these days.

Bare skin just is a big "STAB ME HERE" sign.

Bikini Armor seems so impractical, yet it almost always has really good stats. It's annoyingly weird.

That Snow Tiger with armor on the other hand, looks totally badass.

the elder scrolls series was never about forced lore and facts on to you. A lot of the information you get is from reading in-game books and you perceive the world in any way you want. Some quests like the red guard woman in whiterun are completely ambigious and you don't know which side is telling the truth. It's pretty much your own world, mods like these help localize the flavor, and perceive it in anyway people want.

Some people who don't like this kind of style in their game don't have to download it, it's completely optional

I think the real annoying issues involve actual mechanics gameplay not how you perceive the world. There are a lot of mods for that though

Single player games are to have fun

Multiplayer is where the long anal debates on mechanics, gameplay are

Well my shadow issue is worse than I first thought. it will go from perfectly normal to uber dark depending on where I'm standing and where the camera is. Its like the lighting in the game is bipolar. It can't decide where the shadows are or wether it should be day or night. I cannot find a fix for this. This isn't shadows flickering like everyone else says. My problem is 10x worse than that and its so distracting and makes it impossible to enjoy the game.

You posted pictures on your mods and your annoyed that people posted their opinion?  Seriously you need us to validate your mods.
Good for you for enjoying your single player the way you want *rolls eyes*
lets not forget your PC elitist attitude earlier.  You deserve nothing less.

I had the same exact problem. Bethesda didn't properly test patch 1.5 on certain graphic cards, which caused issues like what you just described.

This fixed all the graphic issues I was having with that patch.

So Dawnguard comes out the 26th this month for Xbox.
And the 26th of July for everyone else.

Guess I can accept that.
Now to avoid spoilers for 30 days.

I'm going to try to avoid the big spoilers as well. Means avoiding the boards for me. I wonder what time the PSN Store will make Skyrim available on July 26, as my PS3 isn't connected to the internet, so I'll need to find a connection on that day.

Yep,  works perfectly on Skyrim. That's the exact mod I used to fix it.

It even fixed the graphic issues I was having with lighting and fog.

Edit: It wil NOT fix the "green water" issue, though. There is a mod to fix that as well

So I assume I just pop it into the Skyrim folder the same way.

Yup it works.  Just tested it out.  Walked over an area that especially goes dark for me even at night.  I emediatly noticed the difference.  Shadows are where they should be (notice they were completely gone except for when it goes dark on me)
Thank you I been getting really annoyed because I reinstalled the game like 5 days ago and spent hours putting my mods and the settings right.

I'll be getting Dawnguard on the day it comes out (or sooner if I miraculously get selected for the beta), so I'll refrain from saying too much or being too specific about what all is in it - I hope you all will permit me to tell you how awesome it is (or not, should the unthinkable happen), though. :P

I'm not too worried about spoilers in a TES game. This isn't best known for the story. I'm actually glad it comes out next month. Will give me time to try and get the money.

Need some advice on my build here.

I'm currently a 9th level nord. I want to go assassin ninja. I've been building in sneak and archery, and I also began with destruction and restoration. I'd like to now go two wielding instead, but daggers are weak right now. Too late to change direction effectively, or is it workable? I'm also wearing all light armor. Is it worth investing in the light armor perks as well?

Destruction and restoration do not really fit into an assassin/ninja build. Magic will be quite useless unless you go all the way up in the Illusion tree to get the perk that enables you to cast spells silently.

If you want to go pure assassin, go for: Sneak, Light Armor, One-Handed, Archery and Alchemy.

If you want to go for a more exotic ninja type of character that uses dirty tricks to confuse his enemies (like real ninjas did in real-life oot), you want to use Illusion magic. Of course real ninjas did not use magic, but this is Skyrim, not real-life. So invest into Illusion magic and get some nice Illusion spells, such as Invisiblity to become invisible and Calm to calm down enemies that are scouting/looking for you. If everything goes wrong, use spells like Frenzy to cause mayhem (enemies will start to attack each other) and then become invisible and get the hell out of there!

An Illusion ninja/assassin is super fun!

Ya, I wasn't sure what I wanted to do in the beginning, which is why I went destruct and restore. I wasn't sure if it was too late to change directions. With your help and another above, I'm going archery, sneak, one handed. Illusion sounds fun to sneak in.

1st person solves that quite handily.

:P

Honestly, the only sexy armor mods I need are the ones that give you outfits from the Witcher 2.

My friend plays on PS3 where he has the "game freezes when you step in water" glitch.

He plays an Argonian.

An Argonian that can't swim.

/doubles over and dies laughing

There's a simple fix for that put out by the devs. Delete the 2 Skyrim files in 'game data utility'. Reinstall game and update. No more water freezing.

His Argonian has suddenly learned to swim. No more necessary floatation devices.

I look forward to hearing your thoughts. I'd only ask that you guys playing on 360 don't reveal how to start the quest.

Hoping to install it and just play through the game naturally with a new character.

I thought we all already knew how to start the quest. Beth has revealed that already several times.
