Markarth just keeps getting smaller and smaller. First, I handed the city to the Stormcloaks which caused Ondolemar to be executed. Most of the npcs in the Treasury House died during the "Forsworn Conspiracy". Killed Thonar Silver-Blood and most of the guards during "No One Escapes Cidhna Mine." Wiped out the cannibals from the Namira quest. Sided with the Empire for the Civil War, which caused Thongovr Silverblood and his allies to be exiled.

Markarth is basically a ghost town now.

Edit:But, on the bright side I've made the city a much better place.  I removed the Thalmor from city. Destroyed the Silverblood family and freed Markarth from their control. Wiped out the Namaria cult and saved  the Akray priest from becoming their dinner.

I'm sorry, but the only valid thng to do with the Arkay Priest is to have him for lunch. I will accept no alternative.

Or maybe that was just my psycho breton who ran around decked to the nines in daedric artifacts.

I did get a kick out of turning into a werewolf and yelling: SURPRISE!
My orc chews, but he never swallows to quote one of my fave movies.

Transforming into a werewolf is one of those things that the little voice in the back of my mind keeps telling me that I should be doing more often. But the fact of the matter is that after you get to about level 20, turning into a werewolf becomes something you do to intentionally gimp yourself and make fights last longer.. Your normal weapons, armor and skills will have far surpassed the Werewolf form by this point.

Hopefully the Werewolf skill tree they're adding in Dawnguard will make Werewolf form more viable at higher levels.

I'm done.
I'm officially giving up with this game.
Spent so much time tweaking and getting everything working. Settings to the lowest and it still crashes completely.
Even if I do get it working properly all I can think of is is it ruining my computer?
Goodbye Skyrim *cries*

Is it related to your mods?

What kind of problems are you having and what are your computer specs? Did you try using FXAA?

Believe me I've tried everything.  It just randomly crashes where my computer is still on bu monitor doesn't read anything.  I have to physically turn off my computer to get it back on and the whole time I'm thinking will it even turn on this time?

Its just not worth it anymore I'll just have to settle for less graphic intense games.
OH wait its not even that because Arkham City NEVER does this to me and if anything thats even more demanding.
I think I finally getting what people hate Bathesda games so much.

There are only two graphics settings that have any noticeable impact on frame rate.

1. Anti Aliasing
2. Shadow Detail

If you disable anti-aliasing and dial down shadow detail, that should result in a tremendous improvement in frame rate, even if all the other settings are completely maxed.

And if you then enable FXAA (not regular AA), that results in a better visual wtih very minor reduction in frame rate.

Can you explain more about your crashes? When you say the monitor doesn't read anything, is it black screen? Black screen crash results usually from your GPU temps getting too hot. if you are playing on a laptop, try using a laptop cooler. if on a desktop, maybe you need to clean your PC interior from dust or replace the fan.

Do you have any mods installed that could be causing this problem? Skyrim is not a very demanding game, as you say. In my case, I've been running it on a laptop at 1080p with no problems or crashes except if I have a mod conflict.

I've already uininstalled an moved on.
When I say I tried everything I mean it.
I tried FXAA on I turned ALL settings to the lowest.
I don't have many mods but what I do have i turned off.
Still nothing.
Something has changed since last I played to the point where its overheating my GPU whenever i get on. I ***ing sprayed the inside of my computer with compressed air before i turned it on today.
At this point I think I'm better of pretending I don't own this game.

Eh, you should just get the console version, if you have a 360 or PS3 (preferably a 360) - they're more stable than what you'd likely get on a non-gaming PC. And I don't know about you, but I don't find mods to be all that essential - I can take 'em or leave 'em.

I'd put that to rest if I were you. Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas, both on PS3 with no problems.

What's your graphics card, CPU and what resolution are you running the game at? It sounds like perhaps this is not a graphics settings / hardware issue, but perhaps a mod conflict / scripting issue. Skyrim is not a very demanding game.

Keep in mind mods which contain scripts are not stored in your mod files, but in your savegame. So they can continue to cause problems, conflict with other mods or conflict with the latest update (for example Steam has recently updated everyone to Patch 1.6), after you disable them or even delete them from your Data folder.

The only way to test for mod conflicts thoroughly is to make a brand new save game with no mods. So when you are at the start menu, open console and type COC Riverwood01 to force the game to make a default Nord character (so you don't have to go through Helgen).  If you are able to run the game with no crashes, then it is a problem with your mods, either the loading order, or you have a conflicting mod.

The only other thing i can think of beside mod conflict problems is perhaps updating your GPU drivers.

And I see no F-ing reason whatsoever to buy a game I already own.

You definitely don't need a top of the line PC to run Skyrim at 1080p. I've been running it on my laptop just fine with most settings maxed.

At any rate, I know these kinds of issues can be frustrating, so I can understand the reasoning for uninstalling. If you decide to try to get it working again in the future, I'm happy to help you troubleshoot, to the best of my limited knowledge.

All Bethesda games have the same reputation with bugs.

Whats your point?  I should ignore what I've heard of Skyrim on PS3 because you say previous games are fine on it?  People constantly complaining about Fallout 3 and New Vegas having tons of problems on their PC yet I never experienced it.  Hell this is the first time I've had real issues with any of their games.

Kind of proves my point, doesn't it? Shouldn't let rumors of bugs keep you from buying a game when it's not the case the majority of the time.

You could just play the game on windowed mode if you don't mind the small screen. It takes a lot of pressure off the graphic card and reduced those awful load times & lags.

I've noticed a few wonky things since the patch. Not really bugs, just the game acting like it couldn't remember what we were doing before. lol

Funny we're mentioning issues with Skyrim (well not Funny, ha ha) and Bethesda games in general. I've been playing FO3, New Vegas, and Skyrim almost continuously for weeks now, and have recently encountered a ton of CTDs and freeze-ups with FO3 and NV.

I've been spending a lot of time in each game's .ini files and googling innumerable issues/sites trying to find the right fixes to prevent these particular issues on my rig, and optimize and stabilize each game. Long story short, I've pretty much got each game stable now, (to the point I feel comfortable adding mods to New Vegas), but it's been a helluva long haul of hit and miss and a world of pain to diagnose the problem and then incorporate a proper fix. FO3 was about to do me in (it was virtually unplayable and I was not a happy camper), but the solution was actually laughably simple (multi-core processing...go figure...but I keep forgetting the game is over four years old).

And for what it's worth, I've had virtually no problems with Skyrim's stability. Of the three, it runs the smoothest on my particular system, and I'm running about 30 mods. No intent here to undervalue or discount other's issues with Skyrim by any means, because game bugs and glitches are an absolute pain in the ass, especially when all you want to do is play, but my system's issues were more with FO3 and NV than Skyrim.

I have no issues with FNV at all. Nor with FO3, now that I have it on Steam and not that hideous GFWL version I had before. The only bug we had with FNV was at the very beginning, quick saves weren't appearing in the game save list. That was fixed and it runs like a charm, though I don't use the bigger mods that change a lot in the world.  Overall I've had more problems with Skyrim though nothing much lately.

Couple of mod endorsements:
Sexy Cities (it's not what you think, lol)
Pure Waters

Both make subtle but really nice visual changes.

So I fast travel into Dawnstar and suddenly see an imperial patrol running towards me.  I'm playing with my Stormcloak so I thought "die you imperial bastards!" but they were running to meet a dragon who was swooping down overhead.  I was considering letting them live for the assist, but they must have gotten some friendly fire from my follower and the Dawnstar locals because all of a sudden there's a fire fight.  All the imperials were slaughtered and I didn't even bloody my axe.  Ulfric approves +50

I used the Slow time shout once and with my archery maxed I fired three arrows.
Then dropped three Imperial troops in under 3 seconds.

I literally was just in awe that I even pulled that off.
So was the prisoner who just stood there.

The Greybeards are right...no normal person could without a shout drop three men in three seconds with a bow like that.

oh god

oh god no.  NEVER EVER GET A BETHESDA GAME ON CONSOLE

and it's not just the mods

(actually is mostly is, because all of it is fan made and can cater to any style or request)

but as well as the controls, the graphics, and the ability to fix bugs or play around with console commands

thanks to the horrors of console decreptitude though, the Skyrim UI is focused on accesibility for consoles. Fortunately Sky UI can fix that!

Gamepads > keyboard and mouse - and I can deal with graphics and bugs.
