Its probably because most Nords took up worshipping the Nine Divines over the ideal of Sovngarde and the older Nordic pantheon.

But that happens in history.
The longer two cultures are in contact the more they start looking the same.
Same gods, tv shows, jokes, food etc.

However with things separating a return to their roots may just happen.

I think they'd be better off.  I mean the Cyrodiils seemed more badass back in the day, too, when they were Nibenese and Colovians throwing off their chains.

I read some book, can't remember which one now, about a Nord who saw a vision of Alessia and when they knocked boots it looked to his men like he was humping a mountain, then died in flagrante delicto.  So they made it a sacred mountain.  TES lore rocks.  Image IPB

^ OMG, that reminds me of a movie my husband owns, called The Holy Mountain. He's really into bad movies (I should know, we have over 1200 of them, all catalogued, - most of them, I have no desire to watch); anyway, he showed me a couple of scenes from that movie, and your description of the mountain-humping totally took me there.

Sadly no, he does thank you for bringing him to the Mara shrine and says he always wanted to make a pilgrimage there. Honestly he's the sweetest guy in all of Skyrim. He has a lot of commentary- I keep being surprised by new lines. But even his are getting repetitive now so I might switch him out for Aranea. I like Belrand, too.

Oh, I can't wait to try Erandur out, now!

Belrand said something cool in one of the dungeons we went into. I was looting a bandit's body in the early parts of the dungeon, and he said something to the effect of 'save a few coins for the dead'. He is pretty cool (and looks pretty good in Thieves Guild armor), but I now know I need to be extra careful with him around vampires. That blood thing they do killed him in Movarth's Lair more than once.

Speaking of sweet guys in Skyrim, my Nord married Scouts-Many-Marshes. Argonians make great husbands. He said the sweetest things. Image IPB

I just experienced quite possibly the biggest WTF moment in Skyrim. Just fast traveled to Solitude from Riften and decided to visit Radiant Raiment. Then out of nowhere, this dragon falls in front of me! No roar! No fight. Just spawned dead and gave me a dragon soul!

^ That was a present from Uncle Sheogorath!

He was just telling you that he loves you, and he wants you to be happy. Image IPB

I had something similar happen to me in Morthal. I was talking to the jarl, and went outside. For some reason, I thought to turn around, and saw a dead dragon drop onto the top of Highmoon Hall.

Sometimes Uncle Sheo drops dead draugr, mammoths, giants, hagravens, etc. for me. Once he dropped a squad of dead draugr. The funny thing is that these things don't happen to me until after I've done the Mind of Madness quest. Then suddenly, there are corpses falling from the sky to loot.

He probably didn't think you'd be able to discern the ones from him, and the ones littered around Skyrim. You can find mead anywhere (I typed "meat" the first time).  Image IPB

Oh has anyone tried thinking of their characters alignment?

Last night I finally pegged my Khajiit (Shut up) as Neutral Evil.
My main as Chaotic Good
And my Orc as chaotic neutral.

Lawful Neutral
Chaotic Neutral
Lawful Good

I don't tend to make chaotic evil. I might make a lawful evil char in the future

OMG, no, Giggles. I have 13 characters, and by now, I barely remember which class each one is, let alone how I played them. LOL (OK, that's probably not true. I have a master plan for each).

None are evil, though...well, define evil! Mine are not above larceny, murder, etc., so I guess they're all evil. What are the descriptor choices, though? Lawful, Neutral, what else?

Ahh. Well, none of my characters have used the Ebony Blade on anyone, so they're not Evil, as far as I'm concerned. I guess that's where I draw the line - they don't just slaughter innocents for giggles. They do like stealing peoples' dreams, however.

So, probably Lawful Neutral or Neutral Neutral for all.

I would have bet your main was the Orc :wizard:

My Stormcloak, who is my main character, is Neutral Good. I'd say my orc is true Neutral and my Nord thief/ assassin is Chaotic Neutral. I don't play either paladins or truly evil characters. My Stormcloak will try to be lawful only because she thinks it sets a good example for the little people. lol

No my main is an Imperial.

My Orc is my main warrior, my Altmer is my main mage, and my Khajiit is my main thief.
I seriously love playing my thief.

Does what ever it takes for power, assassination missions, heists, lying, robbing, etc.
His fave city? Markarth and Riften of course.
Kind of odd to side with the Empire after assassinating the Emperor though.

I only have two characters in the line up after all this time, so alignment is easy.

Main: Lawful Good. He's pretty boring; a complete badass mind you, but ultimately stoic and boring. His retirement plan is to live his later years in contemplation with the Greybeards.

Second: Chaotic Good/Neutral. Lives for glory, gold, freedom, and his woman. Is an absolute rebel, hates all governments and authority. Will live out his later years fat, drunk, free and happy if he has anything to say about it. Impulsive, but somewhere, deep down there, believes in a higher purpose...which is ultimately freedom.

Question...

How long do the dragon skeletons last before despawning? I'm happy for the gifts Sheogorath grants me, but I don't like having a massive lizard skeleton in the middle of the city.

Looks good- I like it with the recolor. Looking exactly like Triss would be kind of weird IMO.

So I'm doing the Book of Love quest, and it's obvious they made it a big troll. You have to put the Amulet of Mara on, then the next stage is to go around and hand out Mara pamphlets- which is hilarious, BTW- but if you forget you have the amulet on, you start collecting marriage proposals. I had to turn down Balimund. *wibble*
