Actually Dengeir, his uncle who becomes jarl if the Stormcloaks take over, is pretty cool. He might be my favorite.

You mean the same guy who is almost McCarthy level in his paranoia.

THE IMPERIALS ARE PUTTING FLUORIDE IN OUR MEAD!:wizard:

A lot of them have some truth to them and considering the ambush happened near there, I'd say paranoia is warranted.  He's right on the border, the first town into Skyrim.  That's the first place that's contested after Whiterun. (edit- the ambush was actually further north and east)

Also I have just been thinking about it.

The only "nice" Daedra seems to be Nocturnal.
She never seems to twist requests or backstab people outright from what I have seen.

Not saying she is good, but I would sooner cut a deal with her, then any other of the princes.
She at least keeps her word, I just think pissing her off is a bad idea.

I do not recall Azura backpedaling on anything; plus she has the whole Lynda Carter as VO thing in her favor....

Azura also cursed an entire race just because her leaders did not do what she wanted.
Also for a godess who can see the future she did set up Vvardenfell going kaboom.

I thought people here said Eola was the best follower in the game, but she seems to enjoy throwing fireballs at enemies with me standing right next to them.:pinched:

Perfect touch is for the lulz.   Walk into the Blue Palace and make everyone Naked.  Then sit back and listen to their "serious" discussions about the Empire, the high king, Ulfric's rebellion, etc.  Priceless.

You didn't even need the power to see the future for that. It was simple logic.

Destroy the artifact that is granting Vivec his powers -> Ministry of Truth + gravity = bad

And I'm pretty sure that she isn't sorry about it. Vengeful ****.

I really love Sheogorath. Not just because he is "my" PC from Oblivion, but he seems like a cool guy. As cool as you can be if you're stark raving mad

And Sanguine behaves like a rather decent fellow too.

Nah, she's not the best. I always talk about her, because I had a girl crush on her for a while. I've since moved on.

J'Zargo is probably the best mage follower in the respect that he is teh awesome. Especially when you give him a dorky-looking enchanted circlet. That cat's got a mane on him! Image IPB

J'Zargo never seems to behave like I want him to - never equips weapons I give him and fights people with his claws.

And yes, I consider Eola to be the best follower in the game (that I've used so far, anyway) - curious that you mention fireballs, though, as she's only ever used lightning bolts when I take her along with me.

^ Yeah, she always used lighting bolts with my characters as well. I've never seen J'Zargo clawing people - that must be hilarious to watch. He will wear heavy armor, but I can't recall if he'll equip weapons. He will definitely use a staff if you give him one.

Speaking of followers, I've lost two to Companions quests in this playthrough. Both times, my follower got replaced by someone in the Companions, never to be seen again.

The first time it happened, I just figured I needed to give it some time - well, it's been over 2 weeks game time (probably more, actually). I'm pretty sure Jenassa could walk from Jorrvaskr to the Drunken Huntsman in less time than that.

The second time was with Belrand. Good thing I didn't give him any of my Daedric artifacts!

Long story short, I decided to just finish up the Companions questline, so I wouldn't have to sacrifice anyone else.

J'Zargo has no equal. Why? Because he's J'Zargo!

I love the guy. One of the best spellsword in the game, can wear heavy armor and is a Khajiit. Just add water and you got an instant win

I noticed that too.
He seems to equip one handed weapons if you give him one, but as soon the fight starts, he has dual sparks equipped and doesn't seem to switch back to his weapon if he runs out of mana. Instead he just uses his fists and claws to murder his enemies.

Why? Because that's how Khajiit badasses roll!

I just think it's annoying because even Eola will switch to a weapon once her mana runs out - it must be an AI gaffe on J'Zargo's part, unfortunate since he's such a likeable character and the only one who scales with you past level 50 IIRC.

Didn't someone mention last week that they found Arcwind Point?

I just found that yesterday, and can I just say - WOW. I had just come off of getting Dawnbreaker, and filling 20 Greater soul gems with Corrupted Shades, and figured I'd head over to Autumnwatch Tower, to get the second word of Marked for Death. Then, I popped over to Froki's Shack to pick up the Diadem of the Savant.

On my way back down the hill, I noticed a ruin out of the corner of my eye, and found the path leading up to it. What an awesome hidden gem! I was happy to add more Draugr souls to my collection, and was quite thrilled to fill a Grand gem with the soul of a Draugr Death Overlord. Woo!

Overall, I'd say it was a good soul gem haul. Image IPB

LOL, yeah, J'zargo is great. I still have him with my Breton. I've never seen him punch enemies, though. He doesn't seem to run out on mana with his sparks. He is annoying with equiping robes. I've given him the archmage robes because my Breton wears armor, and also a higher level destruction robes. Every now and then he's in archmage robes, more often in the orange destruction robes, and sometimes in his default green robes.

Odd that Eola does not use fireballs in other people's games. She does it often with me. Attacked by two wolves? A fireball on my head. Mudcrab? Fireball! One day she is going to kill me... And then eat me, probably. xD

According to the Wiki, Eola can cast these Destruction spells:

Chain Lightning
Fireball
Firebolt
Incinerate
Lightning Bolt
Thunderbolt

I wonder what would make her favor one over the other? Maybe it's the type of enemies you're fighting, or something?

Just a pondering, but I really like the Dawnguard Armor, least the one with the Samurai look to it, but two questions on my mind..

One, will the Armor be craftable.

Two, if not will it be upgradable, and if so on what tech tree.

At least J'Zargo seems to vary his spells depending of the range. Ice Shards for long distance fights and sparks and fireball for mid to close range combat.

And somehow he has a preference for the fireball spell if he's done regenerating mana after showing off his fistfight skills :D

She and Vivec are quite a pair.  He says if the Dunmer aren't going to worship him then they're going to get a big rock dropped on their heads, she stands back and sees it coming but only warns her pets.

If I was a survivor of all that, I'd be pretty pissed off at the world.

Have you tried leveling him?  Erandur only started using fireball after I wabbajack- leveled him.

As far as I know, all my companions level automatically with me. I have mod that allows me to ask what they can do, after which a screen appears with how high each skill is. Their level is on top of that screen, and they're always the same level as my character.
