(Rumors are swirling that a werebear form is being added by Dawnguard, BTW - I hope they're true, as that would be awesome)

A vampire Khajiit? That sounds deliciously fun. Mind if I steal your idea? I've been waiting for a backstory to go with my Khajiit, and that's perfect!renjility wrote...
I have to wait another month, but I want to let my Nord play as a werewolf with the werewolf perk tree. My vampire Khajiit will probably become a Vampire Lord, haha.
I almost forgot about being able to change your appearance. You should show us before/after photos, green!greengoron89 wrote...

What path is everyone planning to play, in their first run?

Speaking of Brand-Shei, I talked to him before planting Madesi's ring on him, and agreed to find out about his past. I found a journal on a shipwreck, written by his parents. Their/his story is quite moving. I'd never gotten that quest before.
This was the reason I don't care to join the TG.
A pity there was no quest called Destroy The Thieves' Guild!

Well that doesn't mean you don't have an idea for your first playthrough!

I REALLY hope the rumors are true about a Dragonbone Crossbow.
Also hope you can take companions with you though.

As long as you don't mind another s***ty camera phone photo, then I'd be glad to.
Alternatively, you can just imagine him without dirt, facepaint, and with short hair and facial stubble. Can't do much about the windburns, though - spending a year in hiding in the wilderness takes its toll on the skin, after all.

If I remember the uncensored Biography of Barenziah correctly, performing your marital duties with a male Khajiit could be rather.... awkward and unpleasant

Looks interesting! Maybe I should try playing a vampire sometime. Maybe Ahzek's teeth would finally rival those of his "hood"

LOL. I just posted a list of, err, "euphemisms" for female genitalia not that long ago (and was subsequently temp banned for it) - there are many ways to dance around the filters if you want.

So I assume you can't go out during the day - what other stuff do you have to be concerned about?

Other then that, be careful with fast travelling. I fast travelled to Whiterun and hit stage 4 of vampirism. I immediately had a bunch of farmers and guards on my tail, haha. Luckily I was on a horse and could flee from them and hide. But I think I've read you don't fast travel anyway, so you probably won't get a surprise like that. Although you still should keep track of you're stage when you want to visit a habited area.
Feeding is pretty easy. Especially in guard barracks there are guards asleep at an earlier hour than most NPC's go to bed (some go very late!).
Your Khajiit looks great, by the way! I can definitely see her as a vampire too.

Well, after reading the journal, it shines a whole new light on why Brand-Shei would (unknowingly) be planted with Madesi's ring. It also brings up a lot of questions.

You can go out during the day. You just get an annoying message everytime you do so that your vampire blood boils in the sunlight. And you've got to be more careful, because your health, magicka and stamina don't regenerate in the sun (as soon as you're inside you're fine again). As you reach the next stage, the penalty for being in the sun becomes heavier, by losing a portion of your health, magicka and stamina. So being attacked by a bear or mage while travelling may become more dangerous. But you can walk outside without instantly dying. It's still perfectly possible to survive. I travel by horse and mostly sprint away when some random enemy comes bothering me, hehe.

This is really silly, but I haven't ever played a vampire, so I'm a total n00b. I remember once I contracted vampirism in Oblivion, and sat on it too long, and positively freaked out when I was suddenly a vampire. lol
So aside from easy feeding, what are the benefits? Do you get night perks of some kind? I guess I could look all this up in the wiki, instead of bugging you with my questions.

Besides those passives, you get several abilities. Night vision, but that's not of much use because Khajiit already have that. You get vampiric drain, a destruction type spell that drains a certain amount of health from an enemy and transfers it to you (the amount of health increases with each stage). You also get vampiric servant, which allows you to reanimate a dead body. The level of the body you can resurrect depends on your stage as well.
With stage 2 you get vampiric seduction, which is comparable to the calm spell.
And with stage 4, yes, you get "embrace the shadows", which allows you to become invisible. You can only do this once a day though.
You can still go to the wiki for a very nice overview of this, of course. But I think this is all you get.

LOL I had to look up who Cosnach was.happy_daiz wrote...
^ I love it that Mist Watch just got bleeped.Edit: aww, you fixed it.
If you guys haven't heard Cosnach's dialogue if you're wearing the Amulet of Mara (after brawling with him), it's pretty funny. "I'd marry you! I'd marry you twice!", or something to that effect. Haven't actually married him yet, and I'm not sure anyone wants to.
I'm not sure who my current character will end up with. She's a bard, and maybe Jorn's soulmate, but doesn't seem impressed. I could go with Vilkas, since she'll be a Companion. The wolf twins have the most story to them so it's hard to pass them up.

Mine I've mentioned before, is Minya my Redguard, who will be in Dawnguard. I'm still trying to sort out who will be a vampire lord in the next playthrough. I'm almost thinking my Altmer pure mage, just for giggles.
Really everything about the DLC leaves me apathetic. I hope it's good, but I also hope the next one is more interesting.
