Ah, I thought you meant that there were some kind of massive glitches or other problems that needed fixing.

You never know with Bethesda - I love them and (most of) their games to death, but ironing out bugs is not their strong suit.

@termo - There's a lot more involved than just crossbows - you get a ghost horse in the Soul Cairn that can be summoned at will, so you can have a bad ass looking horse (which I also think is immortal BTW) that you can conjure to your current location on the map any time you please.

I also imagine there's a lot of other stuff they haven't even told us about yet - I expect many surprises as I embark on my quest to thwart the plot of Harkon and his minions.

EDIT: Also, Dragonbone weapons are in - and you can apparently craft crossbow bolts (and possibly arrows now), so you can have more abundant supplies of high-level arrows and all of those ingots don't have to sit and collect dust in your house chests.

Allegedly there is a lot of lore drops for the Falmer.
Also...it may take 60 days for it to come out if some rumors are true....

And what rumors might those be?

That Dawnguard is going to be delayed two months for the PS3 and PC.
I hope its not true but I keep hearing it.

Dammit Bethesda, why did you sign a deal with get bribed by Microsoft?

I'm pretty sure the delay is only a month. I can't see why it'd be two.

I am more angry that I will have to avoid spoilers for it.

I don't even understand the one month. Microsoft and their testing process again?

The funny thing is I'm playing my PC games on MS Windows. In that sense it's not really a huge rival to the xbox.

I have an xbox too. But with games such as this that I can't play with xbox live friends anyway, I've learned that easy modding, lower loading times and better graphics are worth the wait.

I can wait a month. Still sick of Microsoft's annoying policies though.

Edit: Testing process? No way. It's a sort of exclusivity deal to get people to buy the xbox version. But now that you mention it, their patch certification is the other really bad thing about the xbox. I was playing the patched and fully working version of Dead Island for example on PC while the xbox version still had to wait, with a gamebreaking bug. For a long time too. Not like the certification process actually has to do with finding bugs, or there wouldn't be gamebreaking bugs in the first place.

Part of the Creation Kit is made with Microsoft stuff.
To get free mods out Bethesda made a deal for 30 days exclusive DLC stuff for the Xbox.

Mhm... 30 days of waiting is really that long that people are starting to buy a Xbox to play it?

Pff... Microsoft and their scheming *g*

Nobody said that. But I think the good people at MS hope so :)

Giggles has a point - it's highly likely that the Xbox 360 exclusivity was part of a deal so that PC gamers could have the Creation Kit (free of charge, I might add).

Seems we both have a one-up on the other - 360 players like me get DLC, and you guys get the Creation Kit.

I found a mod that adds female guards to the imperial controlled holds.

They appear to have the proper dialogue for the Imperial fraction which leads me to believe that the lack of them was just Bethesda being lazy.

They've given up entirely on PC gaming, and that is a very good thing.  I will take longer waits for DLC over having to deal with *hiss, spit* GFWL any day.

Adding more female guards is about the bottom of my priority list.  Let me know if you find an "add more sexy Viking men" mod.  lol

Actually Dynamic Guards plus Cloaks of Skyrim make a lot of the guards look quite fine indeed.

What path is everyone planning to play, in their first run?

My canon is a Breton who is loosely based off the Witch Hunter class. But he pretty much acts as a mercenary wondering from town to town doing jobs for folk long as their is money, mead or women involved in some way :). I still haven't finished the main quest line or war quest line on him. And I stopped the Companions quest line once they offered to turn him into a werewolf. Since he hates most things supernatural werewolves, vampires, necromancy, and trapping black souls, etc. So most likely he will take his checks from the Dawnguard side.

I don't care for the Skyrim vampires...with the drain thing and not roasting in UV light. Werewolves are okay though.

You know Shadowmere is a really great horse to use.
It can tank, and serves as a mount.

Poor, poor dragons their skulls have hoof prints in em I bet.
Cant wait to see that new undead horse....hopefully we can also get one that does not look like something Ghost Rider would use.

I've never liked playing a vampire in any of the Elder Scrolls games tbh - it was fun to do for a while in Morrowind, but always I ended up going to Molag Bal to give me the blasted cure once the novelty wore off. Vampire quests in Morrowind and Oblivion sucked, too.

Let's hope Dawnguard ends the losing streak for vampires and vampire questlines - it sure looks like it will.

I did love wiping out the vampire clans in Morrowind for the temple.

Soul trapped their leaders too.

After I download the EC it's on to Dawnguard. I assume it will help if the likely scenario of the EC sucking happens

The only reason I bothered with the vampire clans in Morrowind is because two of their main hideouts had Daedric armor pieces (Daedric greaves and boots IIRC). There were only two complete suits of Daedric in that entire game, and one belonged to a wizard I had no interest in killing. The other suit had to be pieced together by traveling all over Vvardenfell, Solstheim, and Mournhold.

...ah, good times. I'm waxing goddamn nostalgic.

There have been few moments as touching in any game as coming out of Red Mountain victorious over Dagoth Ur, and seeing the sun setting on the horizon.

You fought, suffered, and struggled, but you wiped the floor with a demi-god.
I always recall that "NO WHAT ARE YOU DOING!" when he realizes that you are destroying the heart.

I don't know why people are acting as if they'll have the DLC in an hour when you still have to wait for Microsoft to update their store.

Not talking about y'all though, I'm referring to other places.
