I love what he says when you first enter the Heart chamber after "killing" him the first time:

"What a fool you are - I'm a GOD! How can you kill a GOD?! What a grand and intoxicating innocence - how could you be so naive? There is no escape - no Recall or Almsivi Intervention can work in this place. Lay down your weapons - it is not too late for my mercy."

Just an epic speech - I destroyed the Heart with Kagrenac's tools moments later, of course, and showed him that a god can be killed. >:D

@LP - Heh, I didn't expect it would release at midnight but I'm still gonna look on the Xbox Marketplace anyway. I'll probably end up downloading and playing it in the morning either way.

I have a doctor's appointment at 1 PM so I'll likely play a little bit of it in the morning and really get into it in the afternoon.

I'm going on a fishing trip for a while after lunch, so I'll probably end up being on the same schedule - I just attained the werewolf form and Hircine's Ring, so I'll be werewolfing it up tomorrow once everything is set up. I hope the new perk tree gives the form a much needed boost, and that rumors about the werebear form turn out to be true.

Yeah, so I'm gonna go sleepy time. Not gonna check for anything. I might not even play in the morning, probably just in the afternoon.

We'll see.

After I download the EC it's on to Dawnguard. I assume it will help if the likely scenario of the EC sucking happens

I was hoping to get Dawnguard day one since it looks awesome. It'll probably get me back to playing Skyrim again.

Huh.

The UESP wiki took down its Dawnguard page...odd.
But I did read that they said you can summon that undead dragon too.

Odahviing wont be happy.

Unless you summon the undead dragon and Odahviing to form an unholy dragon tag team. Be sure to invite Namira's Coven to the party, as there will be no shortage of roast bandit/necromancer/Imperial/Stormcloak for them to chow down on.

Allegedly there is a lot of lore drops for the Falmer.
Also...it may take 60 days for it to come out if some rumors are true....

And what rumors might those be?

That Dawnguard is going to be delayed two months for the PS3 and PC.
I hope its not true but I keep hearing it.

Dammit Bethesda, why did you sign a deal with get bribed by Microsoft?

Hey, at least this means us PC peasants can just watch it on Youtube rather than waste precious time playing it.

I got Spellbreaker last night - dang, I'd forgotten just how disgusting the Afflicted are. And that ruin (Bthardamz) was much bigger than I remembered it to be. When I got to the end, and had to fight a standard Dwarven Centurion, I laughed, because it was so much easier than the Master version of it I'd already fought getting Grimsever.

The bet part was that Mjoll and I hit it so hard that it did a flip before landing ass-up on the ground.

Upon returning to Peryite, and receiving the shield, a dragon decided to attack. All I could hear over Mjoll's yammering was Kesh saying, "I'm getting out of here!" So glad he survived, I would have felt terrible.

Oh, and Dawnguard! I'll be leaving work early to start the download and play. Image IPB

So what shall be the policy?

Will we have a Dawnguard thread so not to post spoilers?
Because I honestly dont want to be spoiled before I play.

But I know that is impossible sadly.
Since I will spoil myself...end of the week most likely.

I wonder if BW would allow a separate thread?

I don't blame you for not wanting to see any spoilers. If I had any inclination to play EC, it would have already been spoiled for me today, just by reading thread titles in my feed.

I'll do my part to keep my posts spoiler-free.

There is little to Spoil for myself, as I look more towards the inclusions which affect the entire game rather than the 20 hr story. Vampire tales are numrerous, and I expect nothing new; simply a lack of teenage angst and sparkles.

It seems people are saying its only 600MB large.
On the xbox at least.
That sounds kind of small really.

I don't really mind spoilers. I got plenty of things spoiled here as well because I was so slow in completing the main quest line and many other quests. xD I'll probably get spoiled for Dawnguard too, even if everybody waits with posting until it's available for PC, haha.

LOL. Installing Skyrim to the Xbox hard drive only takes up 3.8 GB, so don't get too worried.

Anyway, I've got it downloading right now folks and I will start playing here shortly - I will be sure not to post spoilers, but I'd like to tell you if the DLC is any good or not if you'll permit me. :P

EDIT: Also, Dawnguard is 581 MB to be exact.

Same.

But if I could suggest a "policy", it'd be this.

Dear users who are posting here after playing Dawnguard before the rest of us:

Avoid obvious spoilers for now, please.  This is easy.  You can still talk about the story, just don't reveal plot twists or story-related stuff that isn't already painfully obvious from watching the trailer or reading the Wiki in its current, general form.  And that's all.  This leaves discussion of Dawnguard open to talking about anything else.  Such as:

1) what the new areas look like.  Feel free to post screenshots.  (oh wait, you guys are on Xbox.  nevermind lololol.)
2) Feel free to talk about the new perks and how good or crappy they are
3) Do tell us about your experiences using Crossbows and other new stuff you find in Dawnguard.
4) Do feel free to give us an otherwise detailed review of the whole thing.  your thoughts on it, how it feels, how it plays, how it fits into the main game, how you felt at the end of it all etc.

But that's just my suggestion, I don't own this thread, and neither does anyone else here, so take what we all say as  a simple request for curtesy, to be followed or not.

Stinker. Image IPB I think some of my camera shots have turned out pretty decent, considering.

Your suggestions make sense, and hopefully everyone else on 360 will be respectful.

I don't care about spoilers, because I don't care about the DLC. It's inevitable that spoilers are going to be everywhere.

If I could suggest something just if you DO say something spoilerish post this first:

Its big, its obvious and it warns people who dont want spoilers to not read your comment.
Also it has a chimp.

Right guys, I PM'd a couple of the mods earlier and I got the message that it's be okay to start a thread for the Dawnguard, to discuss spoilers, ie: wouldn't be classed as spam etc. Due to the big gap between the release dates.

Also to try and keep this thread relatively clear for those who want to continue the original Skyrim discussion without fear of stumbling onto excessive Dawnguard content. So if people want this then I can make a new thread, or someone else can go ahead if it becomes needed. At least for the next few weeks until everyone gets hold of the Dawnguard DLC. Or we can just put in spoiler warnings above the posts, whichever people prefer.

Might as well just keep Dawnguard spoilers in this thread, but accompanied with spoiler warnings/tags.

Making a new thread seems a bit unnecessary.

It would be quite easy to miss this discussion, so maybe status quo, but with some consideration.

I'm willing to be careful with spoilers. I have Dawnguard downloaded but have yet to play it.

I can keep spoilers kept under warnings.
