Well I just started playing, and I have to tell you, the part where Harkon takes off his armor and starts sparkling in the sun just about ruins this DLC for me. I mean, what the hell was Bethesda thinking? I know Twilight is a popular series but ripping it off like that just to reel in fangirls was pathetic.

That's actually the whole reason he wants to blot out the sun - he thinks the whole sparkling-in-the-sun thing makes him look gay, which he absolutely positively does not want people to think about him. I think he might be a closet homosexual, myself, but you never know.

Now sure is trolling.
Well played old bean

On a sidenote, every time I hear something about "sparkly", it reminds me of that crow from Demon's Souls.
OMG, I'm still not able to pickpocket for crap. If I try to pickpocket from someone who's sleeping, they always wake up! Is it because I'm wearing heavy armor? I'm even using a necklace of pickpocket (25% bonus). I'm not trying to take all their stuff, just a stupid key!

Pickpocket chance seems to cap at 90%. If you have that, you're probably very unlucky and the game just hates you.

It's not like pickpocketing is a difficult concept. It escapes me why it's being so difficult!

Unfortunately, it's unlikely I'll be able to play much longer - fishing trip is coming up and I'll be gone for a while. Will definitely be playing non-stop this evening, though, and I'll have more to report then.

Husband and wife werewolves come to kill vampires, and take names for the companions.

I typically just take the beast blood to be resisant to disease/vampirism, but don't ever actually transform. I guess I'll have to turn over a new leaf, so I can check out the new tree.

There's a mod called A Perfect Circle that lets the werewolf followers change when you do, or when they're at a certain health level, but it also borked Dustman's Cairn for me so I had to de-install it.happy_daiz wrote...
I helped Farkas and Vilkas ditch their werewolf sides in this playthrough, so Aela and my Redguard are the only werewolves left in the Companions. Now if only I could make her turn into a werewolf when I do. (Or can I?)

A mod removed their level caps so now anyone stays levelled with me.
Its seriously AWESOME to be fighting a Falmer only to see an arrow sink into it's skull from Aela.
I wonder what an TES Orc and Human kid would look like?
Since allegedly children mostly look like their mothers with only a few traits from their fathers if its cross species

Anyone playing Dawnguard- do you need to have started the main quest before playing Dawnguard?
From what I can tell, nah. A guard will just tell you about it and you can start the quests.

I did learn something in Skyrim.
Even my uber-Orc is not much of a match for angry Charrus
