His name amuses me, by the way. He was so serious because he was doomed. DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO...

On the other hand Louis Letrush will soon have a Grand Army of the Republic.
I'm hesitant to go by the stables now. His numbers grow each time.
First there was two. Then Four, Then Five, then nine, now 12. Soon dispite only having a knife on each body he will take over Whiterun. I have foreseen it.

They're probably waiting so they have something to announce at ComicCon next week. *grumble*
@deuce- I ended up uninstalling the dungeon sounds mod because it was a little too corny Halloween for me. The one I think is fantastic is Real Wildlife. It adds a lot of subtle realism, I'd almost call them mini-encounters, that make the game feel fresh. They even add some realistic animal sounds. I came around a corner and heard this blood-chilling snarl. It took me a minute to see that it was a sabre cat. Scared the crap out of me.
Also the Radiance mod, which adds some random encounters as well. Very nicely done.
One of the more palatial house mods which is also well done is Grey Ledge Manor. It's on a mountaintop next to a waterfall and has a very open feeling- in fact no load doors.
Any recommendations on graphics mods? I want to try ENB but I'm not sure I can handle it...looks pretty ridiculous.
His wife is stepping out on him with multiple men, though. Ah, true love.Yrkoon wrote...
I wouldn't feel too bad. Bolli was Probably cheating on his wife anyway. Every night at the Bee And Barb you can see him sitting at a table with Haelga having drinks. And considering what we know about Haelga....
And old-time Fallout people hate SPECIAL. It's just the same as making a skill-based character. I don't think about roleplaying when I'm picking points, I'm thinking "what skills am I going to be using."Jestina wrote...

Lol i can't believe i almost forgot, in Fallout when you set your intelligence into the negatives it would affect your dialogue options...oh, the lulz to be had.
Something like the SPECIAL system would have been way better than the garbage Skyrim system. The SPECIAL system at least gives characters more individuality.

Why? Why didn't you get help from the Jarl sooner? This could have been avoided! =(

Fortunately, on PC, if you absolutely don't want to lose a valuable NPC like Alvor to random events, you can just rez him.
That and modability is why I NEVER play RPGs on console. Ever.

I feel obligated to mention something else about Dawnguard: any of you old-school Morrowind players (like myself) are in for a little bonus when you head into the Soul Cairn, as a familiar face wanders the barren plains awaiting someone to help him finish his book - be on the lookout for him when you go.

Pointing out bugs and features of the game that are completely broken is trolling now? That's a warped sense of view you have. Sounds like one of the bought off reviewers that rated this game way higher than it should have been.
The first issue with ES games is someone had the dumb idea of playing a fantasy RPG in first person shooter mode. That has been somewhat fixed in Skyrim, though third person is still kind of wonky.
They can't even fix the hotkey system that is broken. That should have been picked up in development or at least been patched by now.
Sure the scope of the game is big, but the details are lacking. Most of the npc's just path around in a catatonic state. You get a quest and then more than likely you never hear anything more from that NPC. They never really connect you to the events that are happening, unless of course you play a Nord because that's what everyone treats you as.
Marriage. Why? In a world with shallow NPC's I don't see the point...other than as an added source of income.
Too much randomization.
They should have implemented some sort of pause or something durining conversations. Many times i've found myself locked in conversation and something random attacked me.
Too heavily skill based and no defining attributes for characters. Every character you create is pretty much the same other than the surface color...and since most NPC's don't recognize your race, that doesn't matter much either.
The crafting skills are pretty gamebreaking. Most adventurers go dungeon crawling for the treasure...in this game mostly all you get is junk. Two hours of battling through a dungeon for a lousy sword I could have made myself...wow.
Bethesda's attitude that players should fix it themselves. Ummm...if I bought a new car that had mechanical problems and the dealer told me to fix it myself, I would be taking them to court. I don't know why game developers get a pass on this. They should at least knock thirty dollars off the price if this is how they do business.
Ugly yellow granny panties. I think many game companies are competing for the prize of worst underclothing.

Kinda ridiculous, then, to post 30+ times over the course of a month in a lone thread about a game you feel is "mediocre at best", don't you think? Especially since this isn't even Bethesda's host board, Beth developers won't see your whining, therefore there's no way you could even claim the "constructive criticism" card.Jestina wrote...

The game is mediocre at best....certainly nowhere near what it was rated with all the problems it has, most of which got ignored by reviewers and you fanboy types. If this game had been put out by a lesser developer than say EA or Bethesda...the reviewers would have trashed it for all the problems it has.

They have no such attitude. They've put out 7 patches in 7 months. It's a wonder you're even a gamer. Show me another game company that is more frequent with their fixes.Jestina wrote...

Terrible Analogy. New cars typically come with 5 year warranties, or better, which you pay good money for. Video games don't.Ummm...if I bought a new car that had mechanical problems and the dealer told me to fix it myself, I would be taking them to court.
