Perhaps my experience will be different this time, now that I've started a fresh playthough.

^ I've never had an issue with being nosed about by Meeko, not once did he do it. Those DG dogs though? I'm tempted to shout them off a mountain.
As for the Khajit, I think I commented a few pages back that for a while after installing DG I was getting attacked by more Khajit than wolves and bears combined. Its now died down to just alot of Khajit assassins coming after me rather than constant random Khajits.
I'm half tempted to hire one of the dogs from the castle. Their "whine" sounds like someone with a stuffy nose, breathing heavy, to me, and I just think it's adorable.
On a sidenote, along with the Khajiit books I found in the castle, I also found a book containing all the lyrics for all of the bard songs, as well as the Dovahkiin theme song (plays at the main Skyrim menu). I thought that was pretty cool. Not sure if it existed before DG or not, but that was my first encounter with it.
I met M'aiq down near Riften I think it was, he said nothing new that I noticed.
I found the dogs suit my playstyle alot more than the armoured trolls. Meeko has yet to annoy me, Bran did ok, but Seo..Seolong..Se...the one thats not Bran, combined with Serana keeps walking into me. Considering all the dogs in DG are apparently named after Irish legends its rather embarrassing I can't deal with its name. But then it is a rather stupid pointless language which I don't speak, much like English.
Did you find the book that adds a quest? The Aetherium(SP?) War.

What separates us from the beasts is our ability to accessorize, and all that.
I might bring CuSith along for giggles, tonight.. The other dog available in the castle has a name very similar to the DG smith. Garmr, or something like that.
I never did try Meeko. My first meeting with him was during a dragon fight, where afterwards, I found the journal in his owner's shack, then rushed out to find him, and he was dead. It made me so sad that I avoid that shack like the plague now.
I'm also sad that M'aiq didn't say anything new, but he does have a pretty long list of things he can say. Maybe he'll show up again later with a new gem related to vampires?

Meeko has been great for me and I feel really bad not taking him along because he just goes back to sit in his shack when you send him home. I wish you could get the dogs to stay in your houses.

What is more unsettling than opening a Falmer chest and it chitters? When it chitters and moves....

But seriously, I remember my first encounter with a Chaurus Reaper. My poor Dragonborn didn't know what hit him. =(

Will have to admit that I've yet to open a falmer chest that Chitters and/or moves. Would be interesting to say the least.

Frightening coincidence that you'd mention this. I *Just* got done with my last play session. Same thing happened to me. I was in the reach. middle of Foresworn territory. Ancient dragon appears, Battle music starts. He breathes on me... then flies off and for the next 10 minutes a cat and mouse game ensues. In the meantime the annoying bastard not only does his best to avoid a full confrontation with me, but he also goes ahead and decimates all my enemies in a five mile radius, thus taking away my ability to, you know, kill other things. I could do nothing for the next half hour but run around and loot corpses of forssworn that I did not have the pleasure of killingGiggles_Manically wrote...
Sweet Sheogorath on a carrot cake muffin give me strength.
This one ancient dragon...it keeps attacking me, then flying off before I can do any REAL damage.
Grrrrrrrr.
And there's no happy ending to this story. Ancient dragon eventually flew off towards the Horizon and diappeared.

I have felt the same, also the similar thing stoped me from remaining a werewolf

Some people speculate that Akatosh doesn't give a **** about promises of that nature the Dragonborn may make in his life and that he/she will go to Sovngarde regardless.ReconTeam wrote...

But if that isn't true and you play the Companions' questline as well, Nocturnal, Hircine and Akatosh get to fight over who gets to keep your soul. Fun, fun. =D

@ Happy_Daiz: I didn't realise it gave a quest, it didn't alert me. I started it by accident when I got sent for a crossbow upgrade and then decided to rather ill advisedly investigate the rest of the dwemer ruin. I thought there would be epic loot, I found a...thing and a door back into Blackreach. I was genuinely confused and ended up checking the wiki to see what the hell I'd found.
Meeko has been great for me and I feel really bad not taking him along because he just goes back to sit in his shack when you send him home. I wish you could get the dogs to stay in your houses.
It actually does show up as a quest, but it's hidden amongst all of your other Miscellaneous quests. It says something simple like, "Investigate such-and-such ruin"... Oh wait, if you went to the ruin for schematics, I'm guessing that might be a different ruin altogether? Heck, I'm not sure. All I know is that the Aetherium one confused me, because I had recently heard a couple of spoilers against my will, and when I'd completed that questline, thought I must have seriously missed something. I'd heard just enough to make me question what I was doing, and whether I missed a path, or a door, or something. It came later on.
In regard to the schematics quest you were talking about, I had one location where I had two other quests active there. One was killing Alain DuFont for Muiri (DB), and the other...I don't remember. But I was glad I'd waited, because I was able to kill not two, but three birds with one stone!
So in regard to Meeko...he can die, though, right? I would worry about that. Instead of reloading to save Lydia, like my first playthrough, I'd be reloading to save Meeko. Sigh. I had the same trouble and worries with Dogmeat and Rex in Fallout 3 and NV, but I eventually forced myself to get over it.

I'd rather sign up for the city guard than accept Nocturnal's deal.

Anyway I had a question, this is the character I’m using to try and collect all the Deadric artefacts with but I can’t seem to find Sanguine anywhere. I’ve looked in all of the main taverns but he doesn’t seem to be there. Is there somewhere else he can turn up or am I just not looking hard enough?

I started my new Khajiit mage playthrough last night. Good lord, are the only racial bonuses for skills in Sneak? I seem to have a habit of picking races for specializations that really don't make sense, but I like to think I'm bucking the norm. J'Zargo would be proud. He's also very tall. Well, compared to my Khajiit, Ahdaira.
My only advice would be to keep looking. In my most recent playthrough, he was at the Inn in Winterhold. The one before that, Rorikstead. You probably need to expand your search to smaller towns/inns.Lone Triarii wrote...

Thanks, I thought he only turned up in the major towns so I guess I’ll just keep looking.
EDIT: I finally found him! He was hiding out in dragons bridge this entire time (and of course it was the very last town I looked in).
