Maven's a necessary evil IMHO, and a useful ally if you get on her good side (or so I would imagine).

Still, you could RP crippling her dynasty by not joining the Thieves Guild, destroying the Dark Brotherhood, kicking the Empire out of Skyrim (she's supposed to have ties to the Empire, after all), helping Louis Letrush escape with Frost, helping Romlyn Dreth smuggle Black-Briar Mead out of the Meadery, killing Ingun and Sibbi, etc.

So... I'm starting a cheese collection. I don't know why. I guess it just looks delicious. You can barely move in Breezehome right now with bumping into a big pile of cheese.

I guess the house in Riften could hold a lot of cheese in the basement. Maybe I should buy it.

Is this your video?

Several of the books are racy.

I have no compunction to see more developers showing pixel grinding. It's almost always badly animated and the sound choreography is cringe-worthy, too. It's just not something worth wrangling with censors over. People who really want to see that will get the mods.

What kind of DLC do you want next? I want something to do with the Thalmor, they're really interesting from a lore perspective. A full-sized expansion would be nice, Shivering Isles was amazing.

My huntress married Vilkas and not one of the companions showed up, even Farkas. :P We did run into them not long after, chasing trolls near Winterhold.

Vilkas may be the only halfway decent looking guy to marry in skyrim. I've been playing this game for a few months but I still don't see the point in marriage. The dudes are ugly. I'm not exactly looking for eyecandy or nothing but I can't pair up my dragonborn with a gross old man or a lizard lol :P

Old dudes can be sexy.   I've had characters marry Balimund, Farkas and Vilkas so far.  I think the wolf twins are the best males because they've got a bit more story to them and you can keep them as followers.  There's not much to it but it's a little roleplay thing.  I think those who headcanon/ rp a lot get the most out of it.

There are lots of little things that can add to roleplay that you might not appreciate until you have a character build for them.  My current character I'm playing as a descendant of Sai, the god of luck, who had a Nord wife and daughter.  He traveled with wolves and supposedly the old Nords avoided hunting wolves out of respect for him.   So I got her the Kyne's Peace shout and it's been a nice little roleplay.  She's also a werewolf so identifying with animals more anyway.  That fort outside Riften where they're killing wolves to soul trap them and making them fight in the pit...   She shouted Kyne's Peace and it turned all the wolves friendly so she could let them out, and the ones already in the pit stopped fighting each other.  Anyway, little things like that help make the game feel real and your character unique.

Even aside from Roleplaying I think marriage in Skyrim succeeds in projecting a pretty important "mood".  Or "atmosphere".   Being able to own a house and, you know, not have to be the only one living in it.

And on a totally  unrelated note:  Useless trivia time.  I discovered something unique about the Dwarven Ruin Raldbthar.  It is the ONLY place in the entire game   where you can find one of these:

FACT.

^ When I was killing giants for their toes, I noticed that some camps have charred skeevers baking close to their campfire, so I think your statement is false. =D

If anything I want a DLC that either focuses on the Thalmor or the Falmer.

Honestly I think that FONV did a better job with companions by far, but I still enjoy them in Skyrim.
Also 10 days to Dawnguard on the PC!

You won't be saying that about companions once Dawnguard arrives its solid proof that Bethseda can write good characters, enough so to do fallout 4 well.

In part I think they just are lazy at crunch time. Heck that DLC hints Video they made shows it.

That's charred skeever HIDE.  Those are everywhere.    They're a crafting ingredient.

What I posted a picture of is Charred skeever MEAT... a food

@Giggles - Your wish for DLC that focuses on Falmer has already been granted - the Falmer are very much a part of Dawnguard. I will say no more for fear of spoiling things, but you are in for some pretty major stuff.

Paarthurnax: Do you know why I live here, atop the mountain you call the "Throat of the World"?
Dovahkiin: I dunno. Dragons like mountains, right?
Paarthurnax: Hmmm... True.

Hehehee.
I am sorry but that made me laugh.
Just how Paarthurnax pauses then says yep.

It's getting increasingly difficult to explain that to people without giving them spoilers. I can see why Bethesda want to keep things secret for people to explore for themselves but they have shot themselves in the foot a bit by making it seem like all new content is entirely vampire related.

On the sex scene debate, I fear things are going to go that way. Marriage was just the first step down a dark path, I fear them ending up like Bioware with swarms of people playing purely for the "romances" and them having to cater to this crowd. I'd hate to see the day when they have to make every pretty pixel in the game humpable to shut people up, I already find marriage pointless.

You mean the TES community will soon have their own brand of Talimancers?

We must put a stop to this.

There are already online petitions for Bethesda to make Serana marriageable - it has begun. O_O

I think Skyrim was just the right amount of "relationship" for romances. There's no need for more, and I hope they laugh at the idea of romantic sub-plots. Meh.

But, speaking of marriage and the like, my Khajiit character married Sorex Vinius. Who? Well, he's usually loitering in the Winking Skeever, and his dad is the owner. I am annoyed by Mercer Frey's VA, who also voices Sorex, and a million other people, but I went for it anyway. I guess I should be happy that his dad and his niece (?) showed up, as well as Octieve Sans and the bard from the Winking Skeever. If I had done Namira's quest before getting married, I'm sure Eola would have been in attendance. She's usually really reliable in my games for that.

When my Redguard married Farkas, nobody from the Companions came. Not even Vilkas.

Edit: In regard to Serana, I think she's great. I wish the other followers could have been updated somehow to do the same types of things Serana does. I mean - how cool is it when she prays at the top of High Hrothgar, or in temples? Or steals chairs from people, so they can't eat? She's a great follower. Should she be marriageable? I don't know.

What I do know is that my Khajiit wanted to marry another Khajiit. Image IPB

I'm not sure "Hey you're wearing a necklace! Lets get Hitched!" qualifies as a "relationship." *finger quotes*

Good morning, Jack! Image IPB

True, and that was and wasn't my point. I don't think TES is the place for BioWare romances. I like the idea of it, but in this setting, I don't think it really makes sense. Having someone at my house, presumably guarding my stuff, along with my housecarl, while bringing in cash at the same time works just fine. It's not a real relationship, by anyone's standards, but I'd rather spend time adventuring than spending a lot of time nurturing a pixel "relationship".

Oh, wait. I need more coffee. Nevermind me. Image IPB

The only person who seemed to show up consistently at my weddings is Lydia - Sven often showed up as well.

One of the stranger guests at my wedding was Lynly Star-Sung - she fled Riften in the first place trying to avoid Sibbi Black-Briar, but risked her life to show up at my wedding anyway. I guess sending Sibbi's lackeys on a wild goose chase in Morrowind made her very grateful - and careless.

Brand-Shei showed up at my wedding once. And that's after I put him away  for the Thieves guild.  It's nice to see that Riften lets its prisoners out to attend wedding ceremonies.

But...but...she has no tail! And no fuzzy ears, and no blink-blinky eyes! She is no cat. Image IPB

This is fast becoming my favorite playthrough thus far (I always say that, though). I'm finally using Destruction magic to the point where I'm getting some cool new spells. Chain lightning? I'll take it. It would be nice to actually do the mastery quests for the college, for once.

I'm ignoring Illusion magic this time around, which is so not me! Conjuration, Destruction, and Restoration are all I'm using. I started off with Alteration, but switched over to light armor, so I'm not using Stoneflesh anymore.
