Oh, I like her! I'm usually not a fan of the orc armor, but she makes it look good.

Just say no to vampirisim.

^ Exactly! Why do they look like they've been playing in a mud puddle?

She was very pretty before vampirism, and I see what you mean about her hair. It definitely looked better with a good complexion, and normal eyes.

I'm not a huge fan of the Orc armor, but it'll do in a pinch, and there are only a few that actually show your pc's face if you're wearing the full set. Posted Image

I don't know.  Is this Dawnguard stuff?    If so,  I'm gonna wait until I see its effects in an actual PC-produced screenshot or in my actual game. These pictures make the eyes look legitimately bloodshot, and skin look legitimately drained of blood, instead of something silly and needlessly flashy, like glow-in-the-dark red lights and total ghostly whiteness. That appears to be a Plus. But again, I'll wait to see if for my self on my own monitor and game.

Vampirism IS a disease, after all.  You shouldn't look "prettier" when you contract it.

Indeed you shouldn't. Looks kind of cool to me actually.

I'm still not going to become a vampire though.

Hehehe, Yrkoon, you thread killa.

Total sidenote, but I actually got Lover's Comfort for the first time, in any of my playthroughs last night, for sleeping with my husband (Sorex Vinius). How lame is that? Usually my spouse is awake 24/7, so it was a surprise to see him sleeping in our bed. I haven't joined the Companions yet, so it's the first time in a long time that I can actually get rested bonuses.

He did say that our house (Breezehome) is a little small, and when I asked him for a homecooked meal, he said I should be making one for him. Rude!

LOL  Well, this is the guy who trashes poor Roggvir after they cut his head off.

You should get Lover's Comfort whether your spouse is in the bed or not, though- if he's resident at your home.  I know, because Farkas never, ever sleeps.

^ Yep, that's the one. Kind of a jerk, but I guess with Mercer Frey's voice, I should have expected that. He kinda looks like my husband irl, though, so I thought I'd go for it.

Well, maybe you do get that bonus anyway. lol I have no idea, as I'm always a werewolf...except for now, since I'm a kitty. Posted Image

In regards to vampirism, yeah, I get why you look different. I'm fine with the bloodshot eyes and stuff, but dang it, Serana looks like a china doll compared to my Nord, and the woman never eats. It's having something like that in front of you that makes you do a little stomp and mutter "hmmpf" under your breath.

Wow, I never noticed that big of a difference with vampires. But then its most been dead one's that I've really got to inspect.

^ I wonder if there is a difference (in your appearance) between being a regular vampire, and being a Vampire Lord vampire, a la Lord Harkon?

I realize there is a completely separate vampire lord form (for both sexes, even), but does having more potent blood inside you make you even more awful looking than if you just contracted vampirism from a generic vampire?

I didn't realize how important this was to me to get an answer. I must know! Posted Image

Are you sure?  Sometimes you don't get the notice but it shows up in Active Effects.

So, reading some spoiler info on the Daughters of Coldharbour, I can see why Serana would be so sympathetic.  Posted Image  Really glad I never did Molag Bal's quest.

Correction:  ALL the rules in  D&D's Pen and paper system are at the DM's discretion.   Which means your  entire argument is  a red herring.

You've still come up looking clueless and saying nothing legitmate, littered with your childish replies. You're trying to refute something that is an axiom of Skyrim...you can only gain xp through a skill. A character saving a village from a dragon isn't going to gain xp from that action, though a character churning out trash items at forge will...because the game rewards more for grinding skills.

I always give my werewolf characters (aka every character I've ever made) the "silver" eyes Kodlak, Farkas, Vilkas, Aela, and Sinding have - it seems to be a trademark of those blessed by Hircine. My character also just looks great with them - see for yourself:

If you happen to gain enough skill increase in any combat skill by fighting that dragon, you gain XP towards the next level.

A character is going to get xp fo saving a village from a dragon. If the dragon was any challenge, then he'll level at least some of the following: Archery/Destruction/Onehanded/Block/Twohanded/Light Armor/ Heavy Armor/Alteration/Conjuration/Restoration. How much he'll level these skills will depend on how skilled he was already and how challenging the dragon was. Sounds fair to me.

If you want to mix DMs in comparisons of game systems, then you have to account for the possibility off rewriting Skyrim's gameplay balance via mods.

Really?  No EXP from the ACTION of slaying a dragon?

Oh I don't know about that.  I  gained tons of EXP after  (and during) a particularly long and  action-packed battle with a Frost dragon invading Riverwood last weekend.  Perhaps you should actually try playing Skyrim before making such ridiculous shots in the dark.

Oh and work on  conprehending the mechanics of the system  you are fruitlessly attempting to bash.  What you are describing for skyrim is actually nothing more than an extra step in the exp/leveling process.  Where other game systems employ a simple:  gain  enough exp ----> level up,  formula, Skyrims is:  Gain  enough exp  --->gain enough skill points ---->Level up.

And forgive me for praising an exp system that's less dumbed down than the traditional D&D fare!

The game rewards ONLY for skill. You get nothing for the deed. Does it need to be repeated a hundred more times. As for weapons skills, it doesn't matter what the target is or the threat level of the target...only the damage dealt. I could gain as much combat experience beating up on helpless creatures as could fighting creatures that are actually a threat.

Nope, there's at least 25 quests  in vanilla Skyrim that reward you EXP for completing them.  I got XP for Returning the Lexicon to Hermaeus Mora, and  finding a mammoth tusk for Isolda, and returning Ameran's sword to him, and finding Pantea's flute, and Finn's lute, and jumping off Bard's leap Summit, and clearing out a bandit base for Anneke- Crag Jumper, etc. etc.

See, that's your problem, You haven't f***ing played the game that you're attempting to criticise,This is the second time we've corrected this particular  false claim of yours.  Further repetition of this claim  will be legit spamming/trolling on your part.

Not only will you increase in thoe Skills used in  the deed, there is often other rewards for doing so. My personal fave is the Shield of Solitude, as it offers MR and Block bonuses, but there are many others.

I love DM awarded XP; use the console to perform that service myself.  Posted Image

Keep up with acting dense about a fact of the game all you want, but you just look more and more idiotic. Skill progression is the only way to get experience. You get zero for following a quest line, and make loads by spamming a skill.

@green - is that the guy that was all dirty, and needed the shave and haircut when he got to the face-changer? If so, he cleaned up well!

As for everyone else, I'd recommend holding on to this, because clearly someone is trying to get it from you. Posted Image

Really?  WE do?

Shall we take a poll to determine who's really the one acting dense and looking  idiotic?  Or should we just call Ninja Stan back here to take care of you again?

Your choice man.
