^ OK, that's the second mod I've ever heard of that I'd consider. There is something not right about those Sithis-spawned rugrats, that all look the same. Tamriel probably does need to be cleansed of them. Image IPB

The first was the one that added more trees, that Addai mentioned some time back.

*one very minor spoiler*

Funny story - I got a quest called "Rescue" from one of the guys at Fort Dawnguard, where a Master Vampire kidnaps a friend of yours - in this case, Lydia got kidnapped. So I stormed the vampire's hideout, laid the beatdown on that bastard, and saved my favorite passive-aggressive Housecarl - and you know what she said?

"I knew you'd come for me, my love!"

Not even married to the girl, and she just blurts that out - combine that with her staying in my room all the time, and I'm beginning to think someone has a secret obsession with the Dovahkiin. Now I'm worried I'll stumble upon some secret shrine to me in Breezehome or something. O_o

Did your character get married?  Knowing Bugthesda there may be a mix up as to who was supposed to get kidnapped and what dialogue they use.

Nope, my character's not married - probably just a simple bug. Not that I mind being called "my love" by a pretty lady or anything, minus the slight creep factor in this case.

News flash: some sick people have made mods that allow people to kill children.

And it's hilarious.

It's not sick if they deserve it. Children in Bethesda games always find a way to be as annoying as possible to me.

Perhaps she just wishes to reward you in a very particular manner.

That's one thing that has gotten annoying about games. I don't see the point of them even putting children in the game since you can't do anything to them. I can't even pickpocket from a kid. It's so dumb that even a vampire resembling a child can't be touched.

Games that allow you to kill or harm children in any way would probably induce a moral panic, especially with an AAA title like Skyrim. For some reason, I think the US is particularly susceptible to moral panics of that type...

Its kind of stupid.

You can kill a dragon by shoving a sword through its eye socket and into its brain.
You can kill someone then RAISE them from the dead, and summon demons.
You can massacre an ENTIRE town....

Except for the kids.
Because apparently that is just TOO EVIL.
I dont have it personally but its just plain stupid that killing a single kid is worse then killing an ENTIRE city.

Western (or at least American) society is just weird like that. Killing children is a special kind of evil, just like depicting sex is a lot more offensive than depicting violence. I never said society follows any consistent logic. =D

Anyway, yeah, Skyrim.

I'm kind of excited to try out Illia! Although I may switch it up, and go with Aranea. I kinda miss having a Dunmer in my posse, and I've never used her as a follower, either.

Hopefully I won't have the "Great Disappearing Follower" sitcom playing in this playthrough. Image IPB

Keep up with acting dense about a fact of the game all you want, but you just look more and more idiotic. Skill progression is the only way to get experience. You get zero for following a quest line, and make loads by spamming a skill.

While experience does increase Skills, one may also gain experience and rewards from following quest lines, too. Several examples have already been offered; here are a couple more:

* Unfathomable Depths - gain a bonus on Smithing
* The Book of Love - gain +15% MR

Refute as you wish, but your information is false and incorrect.

Edit: corrected; not Lord's Stone

^ According to the wiki, it's actually...

Agent of Mara: (Active Effect) +15 to Magic Resistance.

I wish it was 25% resistance, holy crap! Image IPB Considering how long it takes with Enchanting to get magic resistance percentages very high, that would be outstanding.

Another good one though, is Sailor's Repose (Frostflow Lighthouse and quest), which makes healing spells cure 10% more.

I miss having complete resistance to magic, normal weapons, etc from Morrowind.

I used to hum CANT TOUCH THIS, because they really could not touch this.

For the CAN'T TOUCH THIS vibe, I just get by with 0% magicka cost for Restoration spells.

Both are good but I like the female Dunmer's, "What the ...!?!?" when I bump into them.

I have a mod that makes children killable, does not mean I kill them. It just means they can die in my gameworld which makes SKyrim more immerse. If a dragon plops down they have the risk of perishing just like all the other npcs.

^ Ooh, I'll have to try Aranea, then.

I heard, "what's the hurry!?" come out of Lydia's mouth more times than I'd care to recount. That big tank of a woman blocked doorways like nobody's business.

It was worse in Fallout 3.
You could commit genocide.
Enslave people.
Nuke an entire city.
Poison the water supply of the entire region killing everyone slowly and painfully (including yourself).
Blow up a huge area of land possibly killing millions of people (and get no bad karma for it...).
But you couldn't kill those annoying little bastards in Little Lamplight. Hell you could even enslave some children but killing them? Unacceptable apparently.

There's a mod to commit massacre in Little Lamplight. You can go in and slaughter all of the children at will.

You and yrkoon(whatever his name is) just have a special copy of the game that works differently than everyone else's. Explain to me why in your game you gain experience differently than my copy of the game, the Skyrim wiki, and the slew of guides out there.

Sadly, no. Us forsaken PC/PS3 gamers have to wait until at least the 26th.
