As a deep dungeon diver who explores every nook of every dungeon, radiant story is going to be sweet.
I noticed the looting kept the sound effects of opening and getting things....a small detail but critical imo.

That's a lot of confirmed new features. I'm really glad the rebels are a joinable faction. But will they have faction quests, I wonder? Independent from the main quest. That'd be neat.

I have even more confirmed features!
- Visible wind can be seen winding through certain areas.
-Argonians can have horns.
-New lockpicking minigame involving feeling for a "sweetspot" with one pick and twisting with the other.
-The Stormcloak rebels can invite you to a meeting where you can presumably join their ranks.

Argonians could have horns in Oblivion and Morrowind.
(Unless that is due to one of my mods?)

Will have to admit that I've never played any of the Eder Scrolls and found Elder Scrolls III Anniversery edition or Game of the Year edition as well as for E. S. IV on a couple of sites. Now E. S. III was something like $22. and I was wondering if they were worth buying? How does the graphics and game play compare to games like DA, the Baulders Gate or Never Winter night or TW series of games?

Those two games rank right up at the top of the list of my all time favs. i just started playing Morrowind recently and I'm really enjoying it, but Oblivion I've played for a couple of years. (Still have never even scratched the surface of the main quest or some of the big guild questlines)
I'd suggest to watch some youtube let's play videos, especially where the person who uploaded the video is playing with some really good mods like:
FCOM, Duke Patricks (all of the Duke mods including Hypothermia and Combat Magic), Deadly Reflex, Better Cities, Tamriel NPCs Revamped, OBGEv2, Qarl's High Res Texture Pack, Midas Magic, Oblivifall Losing My Religion, Giskard's Necromancer Mod, Origin of the Mages' Guild, Fighter's Guild Contracts, Gold Horse Courier, Lore Dialogue 300, Myths and Legends, Ashes to Ashes, Unique Landscapes, Atmospheric Oblivion, AWLS, Symphony of Violence, Oblivion Stereo Sound Overhaul, COBL Real Hunger, Real Thirst, Real Sleep Extended, Oblivifall Let's Talk and Enhanced Economy

All of them? LMAO - so maybe the trailer is based on a forgery and they never "told of their return"?Aragonian Rogue
Carnagie Xatt

I'm kind of waiting to see the Argonian, Breton, Dunmer and Imperial character design screens, but I'm thinking I'll go with one of the following builds - also the reason why they were arrested crossing the border. Haven't thought of any names yet.
1. Orc Bandit Marauder
Reason for Arrest: Caught attempting to smuggle a mammoth carrying a large quantity of Skooma
Skills: two-handed battle axes, smithing, heavy armor, (nothing else, no alchemy, no spells, no enchanting, no block)
Perks:
- Limbsplitter (3 ranks)
- Deep Wounds (3 ranks): Attacks with greatswords have a 10% change of doing critical damage.
- Skullcrusher (3 ranks) Attacks with warhammers ignore 25% of armor (Requires Two-handed 30)
- Devastating Blow
- Great Charge!
2. Khajit Dual Wield Assassin
Reason for Arrest: framed by the Dark Brotherhood for the murder of the High King of Skyrim
Skills: one-handed weapons (dual wield daggers), pickpocket, poisons (alchemy), sneak, security, speechcraft (no enchanting, no smithing, no spells)
Perks:
- Assassinate (daggers do 10x damage with stealth attack)
- Savage Blows
- Charge!
- Bone Breaker (3 ranks)
- Bladesman (3 ranks)
3. Bosmer Archer/Ranger
Reason for Arrest: caught attempting to smuggle human flesh
Skills: archery, alchemy, speechcraft, sneak, security, pickpocket, light armor (no enchanting, no smithing, no spells)
Perks:
- Bullet Time Archery Perk
- Zoom Archery Perk
4. Argonian Tribal Shaman
Reason for Arrest: suspected of Necromancy
Skills: Illusion, Alchemy, Enchanting, One-handed axes, staves, Smithing (nothing else)
Perks TBC
5. Dunmer or Breton Necromancer
Reason for Arrest: suspected of being a Skooma addict
Skills: Conjuration, Destruction, Restoration, Illusion, Enchanting, Alchemy, (will use one-handed dagger occasionally, but not much)
Perks TBC

That's the main idea. In an alternative universe, if I were writing Skyrim, the key to defeating Alduin would lie in the fact that the Scrolls were not real. Ideally, it would be a simply misprononciation.

You can start with Skyrim and you won't even miss a beat. Honestly.
So are you saying that the ES III; ES IV and ES V aren't tied together with one another that they are individual games?
How easy is the game play to learn and is it pretty straight forward?

They are tied together in the sense that they inhabit the same world, with the same mythology, history, religions, but the games are spaced centuries apart and set on different continents of provinces of this world.
There isn't any way to import saves from previous games and each game completely stands on its own.
If you can wait until November, Skyrim will probably be the best introduction to the series.
I only found out about Oblivion a couple years ago, and it eventually became my favorite game. If I had played Morrowind first, I think I would have been turned off by the dated graphics, but now I'm really enjoying Morrowind, partly because I got deep into the Elder Scrolls world and mythos through Oblivion.
If you're curious, I'd suggest watching a few youtube videos to get an idea of the gameplay for Oblivion and Morrowind.

Wait for Skyrim, IMVHO. Seems like they MIGHT correct a lot of their errors in this one. I'm slowly changing my attitude from uninterested to awaiting eagerly. Let's see how deep the changes are though.. and if I can find some immersion this time around.
As for whether they are worth buying.... depends on what you're looking for in games, really.
It won't be anything like the experience in the games you have listed. Elder Scrolls have next to no story, dialogue, character psychology. Or immerssion for that matter (at least for me). Poor realtime combat. Counter-intuitive character development - particularly in Oblivion, where unless you never use your class skills, you become weaker with every level the game foces on you, as enemies level with you... and soon every band of dirty bandits you meet will be using elite glass armors. You can sort of "beat" the system by "tagging" skills you like least as your "class" skills and never levelling them. This will prevent you from gaining new levels and you can train your really important skills at whatever pace you wish.
On the positive side, they do have a large world to explore. Lots of samey quests - though you're more likely to die of boredom, then complete them all. It's also a nicely looking world. Oblivion has better graphics, particularly in regard to character models, but is much more bland and restricted. Morrowind does offer an impressive freedom and sort of interesting, nicely varied setting, but character models are so ugly you're eyes hurt from looking at them. But at least you can fly in Morrowind, travel hasted, do some real enchanting and spell creation. Oblivion is horribly dumbed-down and just a pale shadow of Morrowind made with extensive use of copy-paste (though with nicer graphics).
So if aimless free roaming in a sandbox is what you want in a game - go ahead and pick one of them - either Morrowind for the interesting setting and full freedom or Oblivion for nice graphics.
Or you could do better and pick Gothic 2. That one at least has an immersive, not copy-pasted world, some story and characters. Oh, and far superior combat, as well as more interesting character development. A city that is bustling with ambience, NPCs that react to your actions.
If on the other hand you're looking for an immersive story, interesting dialogue, quests, fun combat and rewarding character development - look elsewhere. You won't find those things here. Hopefully Skyrim will address at least some of those omissions.

And on the other hand, there are developers like Bethesda that immerse the player in a wide open sandbox narrative where you are at greater liberty to define the story's arc yourself, for example, who your character is, where he comes from, which NPCs he wants to befriend, dislike or flirt with, why he does what he does and which quests and organizations he wants to join.
Neither is necessarily better than the other from an empirical perspective, but on a subjective level, some videogame RPG fans prefer one or the other, and some enjoy both types of games.
Considering the limitations of technology, it may not ever be possible to recreate the truly infinite choices open to the pen-and-paper RPG player, where you are only limited by your imagination, but open sandbox games with deep character customization and huge, complex game worlds, lots of layers of gameplay activities, organizations and factions you can join, complex interaction with NPCs, deep economy features, branching quests, etc., come the closest to recapturing that experience, because you can ALMOST "go where you want and do what you want," which is simply not possible in more rigidly constructed games with a pre-determined protagonist and "boxed-in" story arc.
Personally some of the most well-written and engaging quests I've ever played in any videogame have been in Oblivion. Emil Pagliarulo wrote most of these and evidently, he is one of the greatest game designers of our time. (I was really glad to hear the announcement that he was also responsible for writing the Dark Brotherhood questline in Skyrim.)
I won't reveal any details so as not to spoil them, but out of Oblivion's roughly 290 different quests, these are some of the ones I enjoyed most:
============
Whodunit?
Paranoia
(these are my two all time favorites out of any game I've ever played)
============
A Brush With Death
A Shadow Over Hackdirt
An Unexpected Voyage
Where the Spirits Have Lease
Accident's Happen
Shivering Isles Main Quest
Through a Nightmare, Darkly
The Knights of the Nine
Mehrunes Razor
Sheogorath's Quest
Purification
Vaermina's Quest
Mephala's Quest
Sanguine's Quest

But the Gothics are open world games too. I feel like they typically are better open world games because of the cohesion of the gameworld, though Elder Scrolls games are superior sandboxes.
Bit like the difference between New Vegas and Fallout 3. New Vegas is a better open world game and Fallout 3 is a better Sandbox.
At least by my reckoning.

LOL - purification is great, forgot about that one.
I've been playing Oblivion for years and even after hundreds and hundreds of hours, I still haven't completed the fighter's guild questline or the thieves' guild questline, so I will be tackling The Ultimate Heist soon - looking forward to it!
