Hopefully the beards won't be exclusive to humans and orcs. If Elves don't get beards I will write an angry letter to Todd Howard.

Actually, they do! AFAIK every race can have a beard except Argonians

some article I read mentioned a Dunmer in Skyrim with a beard, if you look closely at the Orc screenshot, he has some stubble on his chin --- also if you go back to Morrowind there were quite a few Bosmer and Dunmer with beards.

@virumor Well they used to be elves until they were transformed. They don't seem to consider themselves elves.

@naughty99 that's good news, and yeah it makes sense that elves get beards- Mankar Camoran for example had stubble, and the statue of Vanus Galerion in Oblivion has an epic beard.

The character creator sounds so awesome in Skyrim. I expected the inclusion of beards, but also getting to have scars, tattoos, eyes not having the same color, etc, means I might spend an hour making my character!

That quote is not accurate. Powers and shouts do not require a hand to be equipped -- they are simply selected and activated with a separate button (right bumper on 360, for instance).

I was considering the CE, but I just pre-ordered the regular version instead. $150 was just too much, and I didn't want a statue anyways. I really wish I had the making-of DVD and that Art Book though. Oh well, at least Amazon had free shipping for Skyrim, so hooray!
