Speaking of the Dark Brotherhood, Shadowmere is insanely tough. It's the first horse that seems to be able to survive without constant babysitting.

I actually had serious trouble killing it and had to give up, but that's because I have no +bow damage enchants yet and I am using a slow, non-optimized daedric bow. Still, I have all the bow perks and I literally cannot kill it with a legendary daedric bow. That's what I call a tough horse.
That's the one thing I really don't like about archery, by the way. The bows don't really get much more powerful because the more damaging bows are also slower. So you'd be doing higher DPS with a super-optimized hunting bow simply because it fires more arrows. Silly, but Dawnguard's dragonbone bows should help even it out.

978 pages is a lot to go through looking for posted pictures. Anyone have any pictures of their characters?

Dunmer nightblade whose game is on hold until I get inspiration- I might make him a vampire, not sure I want to do that.

LOL They're married, and I did a bit on my tumblr about how he has to carry the basket when she goes alchemy ingredient hunting. Mostly to amuse the Vilkas fans. I used a mod called Puppeteer Control.Olaf_de_IJsbeer wrote...

Seriously I just could not stop staring for a bit.
I mean I just wandered around in complete AWE.

If you're planning on wearing armor and not just mage clothing, then Alteration isn't essential. Personally though, I think it's worth raising the skill for the magic resistance perks. The armor spells do make a difference early on for light armored characters and then eventually you'll get access to paralysis spells.
This, but if you do not wish to increase MR, going with a variety of Elemental protection items and perks sems viable, too.
And I do like Waterbreathing.
Added a mod that allows armor spells to last almost 24 hrs, but decreses the Magika pool for other spells; works much like the DA series. This has helped my Alteration play a great deal, as I do not have to work and worry about replacing it every minute or so.
P,S. For those that are stealthy, killing an opposing mage using Flaming Familiar is just too much fun! Like watching the family pet charging to the door, then going *BOOM*

I've got 8 more main(ish) characters, but no shots of them atm... will have to add them!

Indeed alteration is a bit underwhelming. There are some pretty good armor spells, but if you happen to actually be wearing armor, it doesn't seem worth it at all.
Well, the passive Magic Resistance bonuses are neat. And obviously mage armor-type spells are the way to go, if you want to play an armorless, robed mage. But their duration is highly dissapointed. Well, like Elhanan pointed out, a mod could help with this.
Otherwise nothing to see here really.
Paralysis is really underwhelming., considering that it doesn't even allow for Sneak Attacks. Calm feels far superior. Well, at least Paralysis works even on undead and automatons and has no level cap. But if you really want to, you can simply have that effect on a weapon. Using something like the Chillrend kinda spoils the game though.
