What mod is that, that lets you wear a sword across your shoulders?

I tried vampire lord today. I don't get it, apart from the cosmetics. It just doesn't seem all that good, particularly considering the weakness to sunlight.

However, I did realize it's possible to get the best crossbow and THEN become a vampire lord, rather than becoming one early and missing out on the opportunity to do the crossbow quests.

@BigEvil She looks great! I've been thinking about making a redguard as well.

OK; became impatient, and decided to simply make a decent high lvl Nord, and jump into the DG pool. And thus far, it not only looks tough, but pretty and tough. I keep looking back over my shoulder at the Wiki to insure I do not skip anything. but need to simply explore the first time to get that inital Ah! Ooh! feeling again.

Finally met Serena as a member of the DG, but am a bit perplexed as to why. Without Spoilers, my usual characters would probably not have made the introduction simply because it made more sense to me to leave her alone. That said, in less than 10 min, she has risen to the top of the Follower lists; much improved over most of the vanilla crew.

Note: Those new dogs are FAST! Even with slowdown, I find myself missing more often than usual. Plus, it might be just me and my settings, but things seem to have become darker indoors (Fort Dawnguard, Dimhollow Crypt); may need to break out those light spells for a change.

Overall: Looking very nice thus far!

Has anyone bought an armored troll? Are they any good?

I bought one fore the final battle, but it died.

Apparently vampires dont like being trolled.

Isran gets the oblivious award, seeming to be the only person who can't tell when the PC is a vampire...and he's supposed to be a vampire hunter.

Everyone failed a spot check in Skyrim.

NO SHUT UP MY EYES HAVE ALWAYS GLOWED LIKE THAT!

Freaking Serana.
I just about Dragonrended my shorts when she ran into me in a dark cave.

I'm curious about everyone's choice in siding with Saadia or Kematu, and who's story seemed more credible to you during In My Time of Need?

Kematu seemed more trustworthy, as it seems unlikely the Alik'r are working for the Thalmor. Given how the Thalmor have free reign in Skyrim because of the White-Gold Concordt, it seemed very unlikely the Thalmor wouldn't simply have the Justiciars go after Saadia if her story was accurate.

Yeah, i came to this conclusion too, but i remember my brother and friend believed Saadia's story due to them lacking knowledge of the Redguard's war against the Thalmor. It would be interesting though if someone in this thread chose Saadia because they found some hole in Kematu's claims against her.(unlikely but still interesting)

Saadia tells partial truths but mostly lies. I'm not sure what her motive was for selling her people out to the elves though. She claims those guys were assassins, but assassins usually don't go around announcing themselves to the entire city.

I actually don't think I've finished that quest yet. I (when starting Skyrim) wanted to side with Saadia, though over time I thought perhaps Kematu was the one telling the trufax.

Its hard to pick a side.

However since I believe in innocence until proven guilty I usually side with Saadia.
Besides if I am wrong I know where she works.

And that sounds plenty creepy....

Saadia's story is so ludicrous that she should be handed over just for insinuating the dragonborn is a moron. No one's life is in danger in Hammerfell for speaking out against the Thalmor.  The Alik'r are the badassest of the badasses and they would not be sent out on a simple assassin mission.  Everything adds up to their story being the truth.

As for innocent until proven guilty, they don't kill her and are angry if you do.  They spell her and take her back to Hammerfell for trial.

Always have sided with Saadia. The ones after her give little information until confronted, and continue to offer bribes before that point is reached; afterwards, too. And they continue to bully lone woman on the roads in their search, so no hard feelings here over wasting some of them in the cave.

OK; big difference between vampire attacks in one of the Hold cities and a simple town or village. Three vamps of re-balanced power attacked Dragon Bridge during a visit, and they were able to whittle through my max armor fairly quickly if given the chance. And Serena is the first Follower I have volunteered to try as an option based on her seemingly improved AI.

Mod of the Day: Open Face Helmet Compilation mod will save many hours of Smithing and sorting, as it opens up a lot more options for appearances.

It's true they aren't very forthcoming, but it's a simple matter of 2 and 2 if you know anything about the situation in Hammerfell. Our PCs would have to be living under a rock not to see through her story. And it is a shame to kill them. They're like Tamriel's Special Forces.

Have to give it to Saadia- she's been on the run for 20 years and eluded capture, but for all that you'd think she'd be smarter by now.

I watched Saadia get paralyzed, then I slapped her with my mace. Kematu didn't seem to care.

I finished Saadia's quest ages ago (siding with Kematu) and am still running into retards harassing Redguard women.

The vampire attacks are definitely getting annoying. Adrianne was the latest victim, so I had to reload and sprint all the way down from Jorrvaskr to make sure she wouldn't die.

Saadia is a liar - I wasn't sure who to side with at first either, but upon listening to Saadia's "plea" a few more times I realized that her story was bogus.

She is rather easy on the eyes, though...

The Alik'r are not all that bright really.

Just running around trying to arrest random women.
Or wearing no armor.
Or openly antagonizing the guards.
Special forces my petooty.

That being said the Thalmor would just send their justicars after her, which is how they always seem to operate in Skyrim.
