Then you fell for the whole point of the quest IMO, which is an inversion of the damsel in distress trope.Cutlass Jack wrote...
I disagree. She's a pretty face who brings me food and drink.
That puts her miles ahead of the group that hides in the back of a cave filled with cutthroats and murders. And their member in prison pretty much confirms the assassin part of her story. Also, the service is terrible in that cave.
If she was really the horrible villain they claimed I somehow think she'd be doing a little better than playing tavern wench with a tiny paring knife to defend herself with.
When in doubt I always err on the side of distressed damsels and killing things that dropped curved swords for me. Curved swords!
She's not dastardly in the sense of being a warrior- she betrayed her city into the hands of the Thalmor. That doesn't take battle prowess.
Did you read my posts on the previous page? Nothing about her story makes even a bit of sense. The whole idea of someone being chased out of Hammerfell for speaking out against the Thalmor is ludicrous. The Alik'r being harrassed by guards is easily explained by Nord xenophobia and them being too proud to lick boots. Hiding out in a bandit cave is them lying low. They're using the bandits as mercenary cannon fodder.
