Hmm...i thought it said official. Oh well there goes that piece of evidence. The only thing anyone can rely on in this quest is headcanon or the Imperial Library for their choice.

And it's not unreasonable that one might never have been to the Imperial Library.

True, if the IL had wiki in it's title it would probably be easier to find.

Okay, you play nice I will too.

It's not like a wiki should be required reading for game lore...

Anyone in Tamriel would know that Hammerfell drove out the Thalmor and are the most fiercely anti-Thalmor country. That simple fact makes Saadia's story nonsense.

True, especially if someone doesn't have internet, or care about lore to begin with.

Lol. Don't get your panties in a wad. I was talking about in-game--that's what I thought you meant.

And it's quite possible to care about lore without reading everything about the races or things you don't particularly care about. Unless, of course, you've read every single article on that website.

*shrugs* No argument here.

On one hand, the boss from Hammerfell accuses you of being plied by greed or baser desires, and on the other he attempts to appeal to your greed. Repeatedly. Doesn't sit so well with me.

But they do make excellent gate guards vs vampires....

The game doesn't contain all the lore pertaining to the previous installments, expansions like  Shivering Isles, The Great War or novels.

Nope; the Dragonborn is constantly having to ask questions about world lore. Might have been a head wound...

That might be so. But that doesn't make her would-be assassins/kidnapers/justice bringers? any more believable. Just makes her less. Two different things.

While Saadia lures you  to a private room then pulls a knife on you, then threatens to kill you...before even attempting to discern if you're a friend or foe.  And then, in place of an apology, she begs you to go kill her enemies.

You do have a point there.

Good thing too, since his choice of hideout is Swindler's Den, a cave crawling with Bandits

True, but I guess with my armor, bow, and two-handed weapons I did not feel too intimidated; even was able to tell her almost as much. Plus when it is all over, she still serves meals.

Well, I'm trying to steer  us away from the notion that the Alik'r, and particularly their leader, are squeeky clean or "official". They're not. As colored and rightious as their history in Hammerfell might be, Kematu and his men ARE Thugs. They're mercenaries, plain and simple. To the point where they'll strike deals with bandits to use their hideout

When I play a Nord male, I spare Saadia. Not just because she's hot, serves me mead, and calls me handsome, but because I don't like foreign mercenaries carrying out foreign justice on my soil.

Hiding in a pro-Legion Hold in a nation where Justiciars can legally take people away does make her account unlikely. Why would the Thalmor hire their enemies to hunt down someone who allegedly opposed the Thalmor?

I kind of find it odd that Serana does not mention the whole Dragons and Dragonborn thing.

I mean literally we get out of Dimhollow crypt and a Dragon jumps us.
Since she probably around before the Alessian Empire was founded, she may have seen dragons.

But I guess Dragons were not the point of the DLC.

Well, at least Durnehviir acknowledges you as Dovahkiin - which is awesome because Durnehviir is supremely kick ass, and him knowing you as Dragonborn makes him that much more so. I shall call upon him and Odahviing when the time comes to put the Aldmeri Dominion out of its misery, with both Skyrim and Hammerfell at our backs. It shall be glorious.

(Hey, a man can dream, can't he?)

It was rather odd to meet a Dragon that basically...well he squeed.
There is no other word.

Basically called you a badass.

Big D: Even in the Soul Cairn, the defeat of the World-Eater has reached my ears, Dovahkiin.
You may not be Dovah, but the defeat of Alduin earns you the right of the title

I mean this is nice, to hear "GOOD JOB". Yet another dragon cooler then the Blades.

The Blades have nothing on the three epic dragons. If only I could have called Paarthy to fight with me on he frozen lake. Then it would have been Dovakin, Serana, Durnehviir and Odahviing vs those two poor sods.

They really need to have Paarthurnax feature in a DLC.

I mean it would be missing from people who killed him...but **** em.
Anyone who killed Paarthurnax deserves to be spat on.

No... they're not?  The Alik'r are not thugs.  I'm getting insulted on their behalf here.  They live by a highly refined warrior code.  Any Nord warrior would know to respect them.  True, these are obviously more the "bash your face in" type of people than slick rogues (they're probably better in the desert) but that just underscores that they're not on an assassin mission.  They were no doubt chosen, as I said, because there's no way they could be bought off.

And again- where are they going to hole up in a wartorn country where they're not particularly welcome and which is crawling with Thalmor?

All this is making me want to play a redguard.  ^_^  Except I'm kind of sick of Skyrim again.

@LobselVith:  She may still be working for the Thalmor.  We know they have an informant in Whiterun hold, because of the note at the Talos shrine massacre, and Gissur is in Riften so it's not him.  In that case, working as a tavern maid would be ideal because she could overhear gossip of Talos worshippers.  That's just a thought that occurred to me, there's no real indication of it.
