I complain about the game a lot, but I also say nice things about it.
Try saying nice things or else you just ****** people off.

I don't know what strange neuroticism compels you to keep playing a game that you don't like - and, in fact, suck at playing - but it is quite annoying. Obviously I'm in no position to tell you to buzz off, but I think we'd all consider it a kind gesture if you would do exactly that.

So am I the only one who's had bugs with the Thieves Guild post-Dawnguard? I wouldn't be surprised if I am. I actually got nailed on the Falmer Eye Larceny Target this time (first time ever!), so...probably.

Does it happen to other people that sometimes when you get a finishing move in werewolf form the body of the victim disappears through the ground? I can't feed on it then.

I lost my best bookshelf in Breezeholm, and now I do not have a good spot for the Oghma Infinium ....

The bugs I've experienced are, the bodies disappearing into the floor, getting stuck in the first person as a werewolf after performing a finishing kill. obtaining the hearts without actually perfoming the eating cinematic. getting stuck in first person while sprinting, seems to happen more over uneaven ground.

That happens to me sometimes too.
Not the murdering Lydia part.
But the falling through the floor part.

Bought it on PC, I'd say it's not worth $20. Just throwing my opinion in. For DLC that costs the price of an expansion, they could at least make it feel like one. It's bigger than typical DLC but outside the vampire powers, it's more of the same. I mean seriously Bethesda, when are you actually going to make the quests feel different?
If Skyrim isn't big enough for you, get Dawngaurd. If you want the DLC to show something new, avoid it. Also, it's buggy as heck. This should be expected from Bugthesda though.
Oh well. Now I have to contend with broken mods. Dang Dawnguard.

That said, I am not disappointed in Dawnguard. I was looking for an excuse to get back to the game, and I got one. I love the new areas, the new items, the new NPCs and the new crafting options.

If it is I will be kind of mad.
Still not as bad as them taking things out of their game to sell it as Day One DLC. cough Javik cough.
I look at it more like:
Most DLC for 10 bucks only offers around like what...2-3 hours?
Dawnguard easily takes about 10 hours to do really everything.

I really hope its just not Bethesda saying "How much can we get away with?"

I just wish Bethesda would do something about their horrible quest system.
They have some major creativity problems when it comes to questing in Skyrim. Fetch this, kill this NPC, blah blah. Dawnguard is exactly like this. It does really nothing different aside from one very small exception and it's not even all that different. DLC should be an extension to the game but also make it feel fresh. Dawnguard just makes me feel like been there, done that. I'd rather play some mods than what Dawnguard has to offer. Meh.
I'd be all for Bethesda creating a smaller world(but still big), toning down the amount of content in their game and polishing everything about it. That means make everything feel unique. Bethesda philosophy is pile content on you and never polish it. I don't like that philosophy. Everything in Skyrim just feels...the same. Sure, every game includes repetition but Skyrim does it more than most games. I love Bethesda games but this is just one area I wish they'd improve on...
I have to play Skyrim in spurts because of this. I actually quit playing Skyrim for several months and just picked it back up a few weeks ago.

The Thieves Guild bugs I experienced weren't game-breaking. Delvin and Vex's dialogue will basically start over every time you talk to them, in regard to their jobs quests. That's annoying. "Tell me about the xxx jobs." "I handle the xx jobs." Blah.wickedgoodreed wrote...

The not-so-terrible bugs, depending on your perspective, are along the same line, but they come with extra cash. Once you start finishing up Special jobs, the dialogue keeps showing up in Delvin's dialogue, so you can say, "I finished the Special job in Windhelm..." every time you talk to him, and get paid $350, or whatever, per job.
It was good for making extra cash, at least.
The Falmer Eye bug has been around for quite a while, but this is the first time I've gotten snagged on it.

The only truly annoying bug I've experienced with Dawnguard is no longer being able to purchase an Alchemy lab for Breezehome - the option will come up and you can select it, but the lab never shows up. I've also had some issues with dragons "freezing" and floating around in midair, not attacking and invulnerable to damage. A reload to the previous save usually fixes it, though.
So THAT is what happened to me tonight. What a pain!
I'll have to use other people's alchemy labs for a while then. Where other people put their filthy fingers. How degrading!

Bethesda is getting better at it though. I'd imagine with Skyrim's massive success, their next game will be even bigger and fix even more flaws from their previous games. Hoping they hire a few more content directors and show some really creative quests...

Still, part of me wishes we'd get a The Elder Scrolls: Akavir someday, just to shake things up.

I don't see them shrinking the size of the game, though that would make it loads better since they could concentrate more on the details. They could certainly spend time testing the product before release though. A lot of the coding mistakes are very amateurish and should have been picked up on easily if any testing had been done at all.

I've got this as well, although strangely I noticed it some time after the 1.7 patch but before I had bought Dawnguard. I resisted the urge to get extra money though as I'm making more than enough with the Banks of Skyrim mod.
EDIT: Also, how come I never get cuddle time? It's because I'm a supervilian isn't it? I'll get you all next time Justice League *shakes fist*.
Tries to lighten mood, fails.
