The patron god of trolls, jesters, comedians, and pranksters.
Maybe leave a whoopee cushion under Nocturnal's seat.

Sounds like something for Sanguine. Or Sheogorath.:P

Oh, hooray! More Dawnguard photos! It's like a breath of fresh air. Image IPB

When I started another New Vegas run over the weekend, I was so happy to hear Michael Hogan as Doc Mitchell. He sure gets around (General Tullius, Captain Bailey, etc.)

I liked that quest, personally. I actually kind of wished it had been longer...but maybe it was because of the, "ooh, moths!" Normally, it's butterflies for me. And shiny objects of any kind. Image IPB

Lulz. I'll bet that just made her day - she'll probably never go back to Reachcliff Cave again.

With my bare hands.

That felt good.

Heh, I also used werewolf form to slaughter all the guards in Markarth, including the ones in the guard tower. Unfortunately I accidentally killed Lydia there. Twice.:( But I was smart enough to use the Ring of Hircine for that transformation, so that Beast Form would still be available in the prison.

I got mobbed a few times in the guard tower before I remembered I could use howl of terror. That's an I-win-button. Everyone fleas and cowers in a corner while you maul them.

So I just started the Vampire side of Dawnguard.

I must say that...Harkon is an oddly good teacher, informative, to the point, not condescending, and covers all the bases.

That is one thing about Harkon that took me by surprise - he's very articulate and... gracious. He's like the Polite Krogan of the TES series - has good manners, but will not hesitate to tear your intestines out and strangle you with them if it comes down to it.

What?
I am just saying that for the brief little tutorial Harkon did a good job at it.

Besides the teeth he could pass for a regular Khajiit.

Skyrim's been freezing up on me a lot today - I wonder if it's the game or if it's my Xbox... I hope it's the former.

Back during my first playthrough, I'd have about a 1/10 chance of the game freezing on a loading screen. I recently started a new playthrough, 10 hours in, no freezes.

I hope the Death Incarnate bug I had the first time around is fixed, though... the game would freeze after playing Sardines with the night mother. I had to play that quest about seven times for it to finally work.

I don't mean to alarm you but I was having the same issue for a few days, next thing I know I get the RROD. My elite was near death anyway I suspect but oddly it started working again after three days. I've not heard of this happening to anyone else.

Heh, I would actually end up getting a Red Dot of Death - mine is one of the newer Slim models. I would also be furious as these are supposed to be RROD-proof.

You should be grand then, I heard Slim models are RROD-proof too. Mine was probably just a coincidence and it was due to pack in anyway.

Well ****.

I really need to work on my evil laugh.
I LOVE bombing around like Dracula and I only have gotten half the perks so far.

Same thing my fire mage said.   Markarth needs to be cleansed by fire.

Off topic but check out these screens from Fallout 3 using ENB processing.  Man, I wish we could get the game to play on Windows 7.  It freezes after two minutes and I haven't been able to find a fix that works.

>>Please forgive OFF TOPIC, but had to respond to this!

I've been traveling for a while now and haven't played much FO3 for several weeks, but is this a sudden mass problem I'm unaware of, or something else?  I mentioned sometime back that I had severe issues running FO3 on my current rig, but was able to fix it relataively easy, after a diligent and fairly long search, by editing a few lines in the .ini.  As it turned out it was a multi-core processing issue I was having.

I wish I could remember the fix I implemented, I'll try looking for it again.  (Not assuming it will be your same issue, but it would at least eliminate one potential problem if that were the case).

Now if this is something that has just hit on a massive scale, that has completely sailed over my head, then please do notify...before I get back home and try firing it up again only to have a repeat of great frustration.

>>End OFF TOPIC<<

I tried the .ini tweaks and they didn't work. It's a common problem, yes. I think I could probably get it to work if it wasn't installed in the Program Files, but I'm not willing to go through all the hassle of moving Steam and all our Steam games right now.

My Documents > My Games > Fallout3 > FALLOUT.INI, at the end of the [General] section:

bUseThreadedAI=1
iNumHWThreads=2

Solved 95% of my crashing on an i7 processor in Win7 64-bit. The other 5% is caused from mesh issues in the city zones when I face toward certain 'walls'. It's avoidable or at least I know to save before looking at certain things.

Alas this didn't help FO:NV so I use an auto-save mod to prevent lots of lost play time.
/offtopic

Thankfully Skyrim is MUCH more stable overall, at least on my system. Can play for hours on tweaked ultra settings.

Same here, Core i7 with Win7 64-bit ...and that seems remarkably similar to the fix I executed. I've struggled getting both NV and FO3 working serviceably, but seem to have them fairly stable at this point. Skyrim is far more stable than either. I hear certain player's gnashing teeth over the minor problems (relatively speaking) they're having with Skyrim, and shake my head knowing full well they've seen nothing yet.

Like I said, I did the .ini tweaks and it didn't fix our problem, which is freezing rather than crashing. The game freezes after a minute or two and nothing brings it out.
