Look guys - no other virtual store has to try and prepare to put up with such a sudden flood of people into its servers.  Also, no other store is generally in a position where theres (im guessing) 3-4 people per 1 item.  So how about you all take Zoloft, and cut the Store some slack...

The only real world comparison to this that i could think of would be something along the lines of Black Friday...at your local major retailer, people will wait in lines for countless hours or rush in and fight over items, grabbing at product that 3 other people already have there hands on...and virtually, instead of the strongest, fastest, most intimidating person winning, its up to the luck of the server to somehow figure out who gets each Litho....I mean, major retailers across the world havn't managed to figure out a good way to handle this, and you all are getting 'high and mighty', and raging out the Store?...*sigh*

The problem has been going on since Priestly started posting every Litho release update on Facebook - whether or not you havn't personally experienced or heard of this problem until now is probably a combination of ignorance and luck.  Since it's obviously a traffic issue, the Store has since been trying to manage and improve its servers...raging more won't fix or accelerate the repair of this problem.  Also, if you stayed informed, you would know that this is technically not the last chance to get a Miranda or Legion Litho from the Store, despite Priestlys salesmanship.

People have been going through the SAME issue multiple times now. This is not the first or second time we've been stuck during the checkout process. I don't see why we have to deal with it again and again. They know they get overloaded every time these lithos go on sale. We just want them to fix their store or at least try to do something for a surge in traffic.

And there's no need for you to talk down to us on how online stores work. We're not idiots, we're just frustrated by this experience and we're letting them know.

Apparently ISP isn't the issue, as stated in the "release is here" thread. A couple of people with badass internet connections still received errors.

Remember, silence can be the most utterly deafening sound in the universe..

I've got a message from Jedi... they're investigating it. One moment and i'll paste it

'We say the errors coming through. We had about 1000 order requests come through for the 200 Lithographs in about a 5 minute period which caused peoples orders to time out or not be accepted. Our IT department is working on the issue, but the bigger issue is to little supply and to much demand.'

Totally understandle, still a shame its occuring, doesn't soothe the frustration lol Image IPB  Glad to hear their working on the issue. I wonder if its not just those who are there STRAIGHT away submitting orders who don't face the issue, if theres some other reason some get it and some don't.... hopefully we'll see improvment soon

@Dsurian - i see how you'd interpret it maybe from the title that we're acting like enraged silver backs but its really not so drastic, i think really people just find it patronizing for someone to suggest that, particularly when you cant gauge level of emotion on the internet lol. People would prefer to hear from staff than a fellow biotard in any case.

Finally some good news.Thanks Namira.

Well, not completely surprising.  Great to hear that they are seeing if they can do something about it to alleviate it.

i hope the issue is resolved before the evening sale. i ordered as soon as they popped up earlier than the expected time and when i tried submitting, i was stuck in checkout limbo. I retried 5 times until Miranda sold out and Legion disappeared off my cart. I had to re-add Legion and managed to get him when i retried one time. Insane.

BiowarestoreJedi.. he works for or runs Treehousebrands.  The company that actually runs the Bioware store.  He's a great guy, sort of a liaison between the company and the community.

Yeah, Jedi is the man.

I've been following this thread and my heart goes out to you guys. My advice is, before the evening sale, make sure you guys clean out all your cookies and temp internet files and make sure you're logged on in advance. Good luck tonight!

Thanks.  Thats a good idea.  Hate to pull some old nonsense from my cache.  I'm probably going to be running both Chrome and Firefox tonight.

ironic, when you're going against site rules by commenting ONLY on how this thread may get locked Image IPB

Take a nap if you have a very reliable alarm clock.  But remember to be back early.  The store jumped the gun by a few minutes in the last window.

@Namira - I understand that you're mad and I honestly feel for you, but raging up a forum is not the way to come across as reasonable, understanding, and sincere (though, you seem to be the one exception ^^)...the "Zoloft comment" was aimed to inspire some reasonable, calm discussion from this thread (instead of spamming twitter accounts) before it got locked by a moderator...

I have a legitimate mental disorder that I have to take a pill for, and I hope that in the future you won't use phrasing like that. It's very stigmatizing and can prevent people who need help from getting it out of fear that people will treat them like they're defective/invalid. The fact is that most people with the conditions Zoloft is prescribed for will walk right by you and you'd never be the wiser.

A (long shot) hint for the evening sale session: If you still have the Treehouse site open and can go back in the history to when you added your litho (Miranda in my case), you should still be able to add to your cart.
Then you check out about 5 minutes before they are available which will of course fail, but you will have a checkout session. Then you click on 'change order'.
So when the items are re-stocked you just have to click on Continue and are already processing.
Just open two browser windows, one to spam F5 and the other to click continue when the time comes. Can't go any faster than that.^^

Yeah, it's messed up, it doesn't hurt to let them know you are upset, but do it respectfully if you want a decent response. Don't just keep it to yourself because the squeaky wheel gets the grease. There's enough misinformation, conjecture, and boot licking, so just wait for a mod to respond, PM Jed or somebody and/or sit tight. Unless it's green, take it with a grain. ;)

So just a heads up to those trying again in an hour. I had this issue with the Grunt/Tali/Thane first release. Specifically I had the price change on shipping error message. Here's what I did to get around this. I don't know if it will help you, but it's worth a try. On the first cart page/checkout page it shows you whats in your cart with continue buttons on the lower right AND a place to enter your shipping zip code in the lower left. DO THIS! It seems like the store has some issues if you do not enter your zip code and hit confirm AND THEN checkout. I've heard it failing for some people but it has definently worked for others. Give it a try and you may be lucky.

But I'm not sure how lucky you can be, considering there were supposed to be two releases of 100, and Jedi's message posted above clearly states 200 lithos... i.e., both windows' supply.

Too much demand? And where did that come from? *cough* facebook announcements *cough*

Bioware screwed themselves if anything, because they thought more people needed to buy lithos.

When if anything, they needed to release fewer landscapes people don't have connection with.
