I just had a thought. If your DA companions all happened to be transported to a modern day school situation, what role/clique would they most likely fill, and why? (yeah, I'm REALLY bored, lol)

I'll start:

Sten: Guidance Counselor from Hell. Since he seems to think everyone has a purpose in life, and if you lack ambition to find it, he will find it for you. And you will follow.
Oghren: Jock. Spends his days belching in class and failing second grade math, his weekends getting drunk and projectile vomiting after football games while trying to bang every cheerleader in sight.
Leliana: Cheerleader/Glee club. Most popular on the pep squad due to an open preference for chicks.
Wynne: Home-Ec teacher and Hall Monitor Coordinator. Spends break time lurking in the bathrooms to catch people cutting class or smoking.
Morrigan: Juvenile delinquent. Loner, because everyone thinks she's weird and scary. Probably cuts class alot. Spiked the punch at the homecoming dance with exstacy or LSD. Took metal shop instead of home-ec so she could learn to make pipe bombs to de-face the homecoming float.
Alistair: Probably a pothead. Has serious daddy issues. Likes to giggle and eat Cheetos by the case load. Probably has no friends, and gets easily taken advantage of and picked on by everyone. Not cool enough to hang out with the rich kids, and the poor stoner kids get him to steal Eamon's painkillers and valium for them. Probably frequently the victim of Morrigan's "kick me" signs.
Loghain: JROTC instructor or history teacher. Outspoken opponent of French language classes as being "frivilous Orlesian crap". Give's you an automatic fail and detention if you complain about the lack of French history being taught. Feels marksmanship and battle tactics should be required to graduate. Gives students in danger of failing a chance to pass if they sneak into Eamon's house and slip tons of laxitives into his coffee, ensuring Eamon is not able to attend the next PTA meeting. Plotting to remove Cailan as principal because he's an idiot who wants fois gras and escargot to replace current school lunches.
Zevran: School mascot. Enthusiastically rallies and entertains at school functions, then sneaks of and bangs all the hot cheerleaders and preppy girls while the jocks are busy beer-bonging and puking up their livers.
Shale: the disturbed, psychotic kid who ends up going on a killing rampage at school.

Anora would definitely be the teacher's pet.

Cailan, the popular idiot.

Total agreement on Cailan. He would either be a ruinously radical principle, or he would be one of those preened and pretty, but brainless popular rich kids that most people for some disturbing reason, want to imitate.

Anora as teacher's pet I could see. I could genuinely see her as being Valedictorian as well. She would probably be a member of every important student committee and club, and alot of scholarships.

Teagan would be that popular, hot young teacher that get's every school girls knickers in a twist, and causes them to voilate the school dress code on more than one occasion.

Cammen would be like the ultimate reject/nerd that everyone, including Alistair, has flushed his head in a urinal.

Bhelen is the average, unoticed kid who shows up, does his homework, and seems unremarkable Yet all the while he has already dug up or fabricated damning evidence on the staff and planning to use it for blackmail, contracted the successful assasinations of his math and science teachers, has secretly intercepted Anora's college and scholarship applications and is planning to use them himself with her credits, and then graduate Harvard, assasinate the dean and take over the school, then launch his inevitable plan to dominate the world.

Yep, that's Bhelen.

Eamon would be that strict principal that always sounds nice and caring at first, but ends up being a jerk.

Caridin would be that mad physics teacher that always does something wrong in the lab, partially because he's stalked by the student Branka for some reason.

Harrowmont would be one of those old teachers that like to remind us that the touch of a book, or the feeling of writing down a letter are infinitely superior to the internet and typing on keyboards.

Celene would be the popular girl, who's always in competition with Anora when it comes to who's the smartest. Cailan has a crush on her obviously.

Zathrien would be that ultra-leftistsocial studies teacher who will constantly remind his students of what "the man" did to his people, and make his students write essays on all the possible ways evil shems could make up for their crimes.

Murdock would be the woodshop teacher that still beats the crap out of students after class in lieu of detention. He'd probably spend his coffee breaks with Loghain discussing favorite episodes of M*A*S*H.

Howe would be the permantly foul-tempered driver's ed teacher who would spend his days hating his job and loudly berating his students for being morons, and spends his nights getting drunk at strip joints to avoid going home to his wife and mother-in-law.

Duncan would be the Alternative School Teacher (i.e., the court appointed probation instructor) whose tales of youth and past experience scares even the chronically criminal juvinile delinquent.

Are we talking modern day school situation as in Teeny bopper movies (Drive me Crazy, Can't Hardly Wait, 10 Things i hate about you, Mean Girls etc...) with our warden (Going to go Male warden here) as the main character?

If so then I see Loghain as the Principal always trying to stop the kids and ruin Homecoming, football, etc... so they will get their test scores up.

Calian is the Prima Donna Star Quarterback who ends up breaking his leg in the first game of the season paving the way for the Warden to come in and lead the Team to the State Championship.

Anora: is the Head Cheerleader/Mean Girl who runs the school through her relationship with Calian, once Calian breaks his leg she tries to muscle in with the warden (The new quarterback)

Morrigan: The next door neighbor loner girl, who has slept with most of the guys in school but still is considered a loner because of the other gils not liking them.

Leliana: The bookworm girl who ends up getting the star quarterback in the end. Starts as his best friend and at Homecoming he dumps Anora to be with her.

Oghren and Sten: Fellow football players

Zevran: Male cheerleader, gets picked on by the other jocks but becomes the wardens best friend after choosing to not sabotage the homecoming dance in exchange for better grades from Loghain.

Wynne: Math teacher always trying to get the football team to buckle down and study because they will need a good education in case football doesn't pan out.

Alistair: Calian's little brother who struggles to live up to being the brother of the "Star Athlete." ends up showing the rest of teh school he actually is good at something when he throws the critical block in the championship game allowing the Waren to score.

Eamon: Overbearing Uncle of Calian and Alistair who never made it to the pros but who's brother (Maric) did. pressures Calian to be the best and when Calian breaks his leg attempts to mold AListair into the QB.

It's interesting seeing how different people see the same characters so differently.

Edit; i'm not saying how I would see them because i honestly cannot put them in that context.  It's been too many years since i've been in highschool.

What with his Crow affiliation and the facial tatts and all, I'd think Zevran would be in a gang. Taliesen's a slightly older dropout who thinks he ought to ditch as well, since they could make more money that way; he's much more into the lifestyle. And Zevran's probably on the edge of doing so, since he doesn't really believe there's a future anywhere out of the 'hood for him.

I love it, Skadi. School is somewhat different in England but I've seen enough of those high school movies to be familiar with the archetypes.

I'm not sure about Anora being the head cheerleader/mean girl - if you talk to Loghain about her, he describes her as a bit of a loner who didn't play with the other kids in Gwaren. I think Skadi's more on the money with Anora as valedictorian and possibly editor of the school paper.

Yeah, this too. Zevran would be a good candidate for a gang banger: part of an ethnic minority who really doesn't have much choice, plus, membership in his gang gets him some benefits, and few, if any people at the school would mess with him because he was an elf.

Though due to assassin's playing many roles with their marks, I could still see Zev as mascot, the "popular pet, the snob's "token elf". And after a football game, the jocks will all go into the locker room because Zevran offered them a massage he learned from his mom's friends. And the jocks will all fall for it, then, after secretly enjoying it more than they will admit, start running around screaming and threatening to kill him because he "tricked them" into man-love.

Haha, these are great. A few of mine as I think of them (some overlap with what's already been posted):

Alistair: The class clown who has a lot of girl friends, but no girlfriends.

Morrigan: The weird Wiccan chick who, by virtue of being hot still manages to sleep with half the school (she claims it's part of some ritual her thesis...). Like Alistair though, has no steady significant other.

Cailan: Rich, likeable-but-not-too-bright captain/quarterback of the football team. Makes a great friend (he's surprisingly not an ****), but a ****ty boyfriend because he'll still cheat on his longtime "sweetheart."

Anora: Cailan's girlfriend, of course. The hot valedictorian. Everybody wants to copy her homework, but she probably doesn't let them unless she can ensure they get caught cheating.

Leliana: Drama club and cheerleader all in one. Clothes, hair, and makeup are always fashionable. Probably sings the anthem at all the games. Logically, all the guys want her because, of course, she prefers chicks.

Zevran: Transcends social cliques and is popular amongst all circles. Very popular with the girls (other guys claim to not get what they see in him, particularly those less confident in their sexuality). Charms the teachers enough to escape most of his escapades unpunished.

Sten: Still cracking up over the Guidance Counsellor from Hell. Now that someone brought that up I can't picture him as anything else.

Duncan: The "cool" teacher. Expects a lot from his pupils but is laid-back and understanding enough to be liked anyway. Plus he's got that awesome beard and ponytail.

Shale: The chunky ****** who crams her individualism down your throat.

Cammen: Agree with whoever said even Alistair's crammed his head in a urinal at some point. Will die a virgin in his mama's basement.

Zathrian: Emo cutter. Also plots creepy ways (down to the last detail) to "punish" the people who pick on him. And their families. And friends. And distant relatives. And pet.

Dog: School mascot, of course! Likes to perform "overwhelm" on the principal's leg.

Oghren: The fullback with the DUI.

Dagna: Pep squad leader.

Crap, all I have time for at the moment. May edit/add later ;)

This is funny. Whenever I see Morrigan in that picture for Witch Hunt, she reminds me of a 10th grader that sneeks out back of the school to grab a smoke during study hall.

Just imagine Career Day with Sten:

Sten: Your test scores show that you are suited to a career in fast food management.
Student: But I don't wanna be a fast food manager, I wanna be an astronaut!
Sten: You cannot be an astronaut. You are clearly a fast food manager.
Student: But I don't wanna work at McDonalds. i wanna work for NASA!
Sten: You are not an astronaut. You are a fast food manager. Why would you want to be an astronaut when you clearly are not? You might as well want to live on the moon. Is that why you wish to be an astronaut? To live on the moon? A foolish goal. There is no air on the moon. The air is a lie.
Student: Uhh...Mr. Sten, that made absolutely no sense!
Sten: Of course it didn't. because you are not meant to be an astronaut. You are a fast food manager.
Student: But I...
Sten: Pashera! You are a fast food worker. Get used to it. Now get out of my office and go apply at McDonalds before I lose my patience.
Student: Uhhh..can I use the bathroom before I go?
Sten: No.

Ha I just thought of something very funny for Loghain:

Loghain: class PAY ATTENTION! We must attend to reality!

<silence falls>

Loghain: Good now let us go over once more what we have learned.

class as one: Orlesians are nothing but Maker forsaken nug loving bastards.

Loghain: Perfect.

Imagine your homework assignments:

1. Design a pinata resembling the head of Celene, then smash it in front of the class with Maric's sword.. Extra credit for messy kills.
2. Write a letter to the nearest Orlesian embassy and ask why they are a bunch of painted-up perverts who invade decent countries and roll around like rutting animals in carmel pudding. Extra credit if letter is mailed enclosed with mysterious white powder.
3. Write an essay about how Rowan could pwn Celene in a wrestling match. Edit to add: Extra credit if scenario resembles Thunderdome.

I've always wondered what it would be like for the companions to be mischievous highschoolers.Posted Image

Alistair- The star quarterback/jock. He's nervous and has trouble talking to girls and blames his low self-esteem  on his religion. Has a slight crush on Leliana, and is constantly bickering with Morrigan.

Morrigan-The rebellious/Goth chick at the school, she's constantly poking fun at Alistair and has a deep loathing of Leliana. Morrigan hates being at school and often skips class and hangs out with friends who shares similar views as her. She enjoys watching the weak and nerdy get bullied and spends her time hating on the preps and jocks of the school.

Loghain- The head principal of the school and father of Anora. He has a great prejudice towards Orleasians (French) and hates Anora's boyfriend Calin. Often tries to set strict rules, seize power of the school for himself, and overreacts to problem students.

Anora- Daughter of the principle Loghain. Anora isn't as popular as her boyfriend Cailan and she often stays out of trouble due to her father being the principle. She's very academic and involved in many extracurricular activities such as student government.

Cailan- Currently Anora's boyfriend. Anora's father  Loghain seems to hate Cailan to a degree and considers him a fool. He is an overconfident football jock and is the supposed half brother to Alistair. Many people find him annoying, especially when he risks a game all in the name of glory. He is also rumored to be unfaithful to Anora.

Howe- Assistant principle to Loghain and is helping him seize power of the school. Is totally evil and corrupt, and helps to make the students lives miserable.

Oghren- The Dwarf math teacher, he has a problem of drinking during school hours and likes to hit on the female students in his class (even though they're underage.) He's still an awesome teacher regardless.

Leliana- The girly, preppy, foreign exchange student from Orlais (France). She's a cheerleader and the lead singer of the glee club. She's completely obsessed with fashion, shoes, and make-up. As well as being hella popular among the jocks and preps due to her preference of girls.

Marjolaine- Leliana's popular ex girlfriend from her old school in Orlais. Leliana loved her and tried to copy everything Marjolaine did, but eventually Leliana was put under peer pressure by Marjolaine and ended up doing things she normally wasn't comfortable with. Eventually Marjolaine ended up framing Leliana for something she didn't do and Leliana got expelled from her Orealsian prep school.

Sten- The head P.E. and football coach. Sten takes much pride in training students his students both physically and mentally, and is angered by students who show weakness. He doesn't believe in females taking P.E. classes and faints at the thought of one playing a sport.

Wynne- The English teacher at the high school. She's old and cranky, and many students are often put off by her constant lecturing, as well her habit of sticking her nose in other's business. Though some students actually find her a very wise, misunderstood elder.

Duncan- The wise janitor. Often gives advice and helpful insight when the students are in trouble.

Zevran- An elven stud and an all-star on the Lacrosse team. He spends most of his time hitting on and seducing girls, and even guys when the right one comes along.

Cammen- A nerd and a virgin who is constantly beat up and picked on. He has a crush on Gheyna.

Gheyna- A shy/quiet girl who's trying to save her virginity for marriage. She actually likes Cammen, but she doesn't want to be seen with him, because he's far too nerdy

Dog- A stray dog who wanders around campus.

Kaitlyn- A cute shy girl who's usually over emotional and cries easily. One of Leliana's best friends.

Brother Aldous- The incredibly boring history teacher. Puts people to sleep with his lessons... even himself at times.

Fergus Cousland- One of the most popular people at school. He's kind to most of the people at school and is another valuable player to the football team.

Eamon- One of the most influential people on the school board. Loghain is worried Eamon might try and stop him from taking all the power he wants from the school. Thus he tries to eliminate him.

Jowan- Another nerdy student, constantly picked on and is unable to stand up for himself. Has a girlfriend named Lily.

Sandal- A special ed student.

Bodahn- A special ed teacher.

Mudock- Think Skadi above said it perfectly.

Bann Teagen- The school's assistant coach. Indirectly hits on other women and is the brother to Eamon.

Harrowmont- A dwarf running for class president. He is a very calm and collected intellectual but fails at being able to rally others.

Bhelen- A dwarf running for class president. He is mean cruel and willing to do anything to become the president.

Ivring- The 80 year old chain smoker sounding physics teacher.

Zathrian- The creepy bald chemist teacher.

Shale- The school's mascot. Shale also go's around and bullys the other students.

Ah Cammen i think everyone got him down perfectly he'd be eaten alive in high school. With his wussyness and girly run.

Looking at them as high schoolers i'd see myself hanging out with Morrigan we'd probably share the same bitterness to other students have a rebelious "we are better than you" streak (yeah i wasn't very nice to people in school not really a bully just didn't like people)

Alastair just like in game would probably be the one i hate the most he tries to be funny when he's not and is too shy and awkward

Of the guys i'd get along with Zevran he'd be like the adventurous brave kid who will do anything for the hell of it but doesn't need to do it to impress everyone.

Loghain would be like the overly strict teacher i love to rebel against. Anora would be the teachers pet everyone hates because she gets away with anything.

Hahha, love this one for Duncan. And I can't believe I didn't think of special ed classes.
