it's not even about that

it's about the fact that the ME franchise is the embodiment of this generation of gaming for me. The ONE serie that I can safely say is by far my favorite (close second...... DA). The one serie every other game has to measure against in my mind. Having it already paid in full gives me a sense of  reassurance, that no matter what I'm guaranteed a copy on day one.....(and by then I'll have already asked for 2 PTO days to lay back and play it worry-free)

maybe it's OCD but it still feels good

i will no doubt place my pre-order in sometime in the not-so-distant future. at the moment though, i'm holding out until i hear more about what's in store for us.



admittedly, i am a bioware fanboy. if you slap bioware's name on a game box, i WILL snatch it up almost without pause. i place that much faith in the company.

I'm waiting to see what different editions might come out. If Bioware does a signature edition like they are releasing for DA2, which you get if you order by a certain date, then I will be ordering as soon as it is announced. But is there are separate Collector Editions, then I'd prefer to order that.

Pretty much this. Not to mention by the time Mass Effect 3 comes out. I may not be living in the same Country, let alone Province. So yeah... preordering a little later.

I'll pre order if it comes with some pre-order bonus(which I'm sure it will). Not because I'm any less of a fan, but only because I know the game won't run out of stock. It's strange, I remember popular games running out of a stock was very common during the PS1/N64 era, but now it almost never happens.

I still remember ditching school so I could pick up my pre-ordered copy of Final Fantasy VII and my reserved copy was the only one left in stock.

Once the visual novelty wears off after 20 minutes, the Collectors Edition and pre-order bonus items in ME2 weren't that useful - the stats were no better than the basic equipment in-game, and to this day Bioware hasn't made a helmet mod. Not gonna risk pre-ordering at all this time.
