MShep: Jack - really nicely paced, if you go the Paragon route. My MShep fell in love against his own intentions.



I am just doing a complete new run with another MShep (ME + ME2) just to try out the Liara romance, because people say its so nice now with LotSB.

I have to say, I have a real soft spot for Kelly-it's nice being able to talk with someone who's borderline annoying with her cheerfulness and perky nature. Then it's Jack because she's great once you get to know her, and then probably Kaidan, because once again, he was pretty good once I got to know him.

1. Garrus: Love his personality; the voice, etc.
2. LotSB Liara: Lot of good development.
3. Kaidan: Interesting for a human option. Isn't an ass. No porno-lines.
4. Jacob: Cheesy and soft-porno lines gave him the edge for unintended hilarity. Took a hit because of the 180 he does once on the Normandy and femShep's "TAKE ME NOW" heavy-handed approach.
5. Thane: Ugh. I could write reams-worth of text, but why bother? Would only hurt feelings.

Hey now, we've been over this.  Calla just loves everyone, remember?   And I do agree with her in terms of content implementation--Garrus definitely had less content to his romance and dialogue.  Tali was in the same boat.  Probably because their characters stretched across two games.

You know, I have to admit that Jacob's grown on me a lot over subsequent playthroughs of my main Shepard.  He gets friendzoned, of course, but it IS nice to have one person on the ship who's not utterly bats*** insane.  Even the Shadow Broker thinks so.  

I think the topic needs to separate which LI's romance people was the best IMPLEMENTED, and which LI people personally prefer.  In terms of implementation, I think Garrus's does suffer due to its brevity, but he's still my favorite because I prefer him as a character.  For example, in terms of romance content and implementation, I'd rank FemShep's LIs as follows: Thane, Liara, Garrus, Kaidan, Jacob.  In terms of my own preferences, I'd rank them Garrus, Liara, Thane, Jacob, Kaidan.

Jacob is sane, yes, and I appreciate... his bro-ness? To an extent. But I cannot romance him, ever. I agree that others got more dialogue, but the content itself is questionable at times. For Thane... well, he's pretty sick with Dead Wife Syndrome. For Jacob, the porny lines are hard to get past. No, Garrus doesn't have the most or best dialogue... but he, as a character, is more pleasing in general.
