Argh, can't get the idea out of my head. Liara, right now I'm making a song, and most chords picture her in it. Sorry, just rambling :P.

Kaidan - I did not like that romance - Kaidan as a person is not pleasant. He doesn't have enough lines outside his past to be interesting and overall personality is slightly whiny.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Totally agree with above so:

FemShep = Thane

MaleShep = Jack

Played as MaleShep twice and FemShep 15 times.

AdmiralCheez - yep, agree with your take on Garrus. He's like my bro, feels awkard with incestual overtones to sleep with him, and he really isn't comfortable with me placing him in that position (pun intended!)

Schneeland - heard there is a cheat available that lets Samara be romanced.(Gibbs editor?, can't remember)

I'm going to change my original stance. I just finished a ME1 playthrough, and I hadn't played ME1 in nearly a year, oh dear how I've been spoiled by the ME2 combat. Anyways I romanced Liara, and with all things considered (ME1, ME2, LOTSB, My Shep's personality) her romance has created the best story for my canon, as much as I am for my Shep staying true to his roots with a human love, Liara stole his heart.

I really like Miranda's character and all, but BioWare IMO dropped the ball on her appeal with the ridiculous camera angles and the engine room scene. I thought it was tacky -- romantic climax and she wanted to spend it in the engine room. Renegade I could see this, but I thought Paragon should of got something either in her quarters or Shep's. Especially with how my Shep's often treat Tali like their little sister, it was like wow Miranda really, you gotta be kidding. Even Kasumi took notice of it. Enough ranting, and please don't hate me Miranda fans, I truthfully love her character, but with the current content out, and a second look at my own opinion, I'm a Liara guy.

For me:
1. Liara (ME was great, ME2 sucked and LotSB fixed it)
2. Tali
3. Garrus
You know, after seeing a little of this thread, it surprises me how much fans like Liara better, I mean, the potential for it to be epic is great, it's just that BioWare killed it off in the second part (looking at you Mac ;) . If only it'd been done correctly...it could've been EPIC.

I imagine I might have already posted this but still:

Ashley Williams!!

A vote for Ashley is a vote for a better tomorrow!!

Seriously though, she's my favorite and I intend to stick by her through the whole trilogy, no matter what kind of future awaits us.

As a side note: If there were to be a second place, it would be Jack.

On a side note, I see only one of the old Tali thread people here. You all really did banish them didn't you?

That or they all got tired of posting on forums, but many of them I've seen on my friends page as active.

Sad really.

I will always be a Talimancer, but ever since lotsb, liara is admittedly the best LI storywise.

In ME1: Liara (for both Sheps). Didn't find Kaidan interesting enough to romance him.
In ME2: for MaleShep- Jack (Miranda takes a close second place) and for FemShep-Thane.

Romancing Garrus just felt weird, the same with Tali- she's more like a little sister to my MaleShep so couldn't do this.

Edit: BioWare should include Ugly Shepard as LI in ME3- I would definitely romance him :P

Ashley and Jack are my two favorite love interests by far. My only two main Male Shepard's have them as their love interests. I was tempted to cheat on Ashley with Jack on my first playthrough on ME 2, but decided it was better to have one character loyal to each. Although, I'm debating making another third male character who ends up romancing both of them mostly to see what exactly happens.

That's not to say that I actually dislike any of the other ones. When playing My female Shepards, I've have had a lot of fun romancing Liara and Kelly. I even have one in progess with Kaidan.

ManShep: Ashley (probably one of the best romance sub-plots I've seen in a video game)

FemShep: Toss-up between Kaidan and Liara, though my "main" FemShep hooked up with Kaidan.

1. Liara (even pre-LotSB)

2. Miranda

3. Ashley

4. Jack

Theres a significant gap here.

5. Tali

I like Tali's character, her romance is just too odd. Like a freshman nerd with a crush on the senior star quarterback kinda odd.

FemShep = Thane, hands down.  I romanced Garrus once, and found it a little awkward, not to mention kind of rushed after all the endless "calibration" non-conversations I had.  Then there was the abortive Jacob romance that made me want to cringe as every last stereotypical relationship red flag popped up with every conversation.  That FemShep ditched and ended up with Thane :D  I adore Kaidan, but as a friend and not a full-fledged romance option for FemShep.

ManShep-- I really have no idea.  My one complete ManShep playthrough, an entire galaxy of women kept hitting on him, and when he tried to let Tali down nicely (neutral option), she ended up being un-rejectable without a breakup with his intended romance, Miranda.  He double-romanced Miranda and Liara.  Haven't completed a playthrough with a Jack romance yet, but I'm guessing she'll be interesting.  Most of my FemSheps want to be buddies with her.
