50 save limit? What the hell?

I mean, I know there's a lot of things that got changed for the worse from ME1, but this is the one that bugs me the most. As if NOT including an onscreen radar was bad enough, now there's a ****ing save limit?
What the hell BioWare? The save files are all REALLY tiny so there is absolutely no reason to put a limit on them.
Does anyone know any way to get over or around this halfassed restriction that some poor drunken underpaid sob at BioWare slipped in just to tick us off?

I have about 150 saves on one character.
While the 50 save limit makes sense for consoles with their limited space it makes no sense whatsoever for the PC.

And if it's individual good god why do you need so many for one character?

I like having a multitude of saves for cut scenes I particularly enjoy.

I have no idea why they would do that. It's really is ridiculous.

ME2 it's possible to get at least level 28 in one playthough so not as many saves are needed.
there's also the fact the autosave in ME1 sucks, so you'll need to save on your own a lot.

EDIT:
Wait what, you mean 50 separate individual saves for one character? Wtf could you possibly want that for? Are there even 50 missions in the game, including DLC?

good times. Sonic 3 you could have (I think) 3 profiles only.adam_grif wrote...
Back when I was a youngun, having more than 3 saves available for a game was practically unthinkable. In many cases you only got one. I'll never forgive my sisters friend for wiping over my Pokemon Red savegame.

On PC you van quicksave. I don't even reach 25 saves in a playthrough.Ryzaki wrote...

That's you. I regularly find myself over the limit. (or extremely close to it). *sighs* Then again ME2 is so straightforward there's really no reason not to have one or two saves.
