To me the toolset is the critical factor. If it does not interest you, pick whatever platform you enjoy most - if you want to make mods or play community-made mods, get the PC version.

I too am absolutely torn over which system to get this on. I see all the benefits of getting it on PC, but I'm not very computer literate and I'm unsure if it will even run on my PC. I rarely use my PC for games, but in this instance I'm quite tempted.

Same here. Me and computers never really got along well, but me and the 360 did (games actually work on my 360). However, I may want to use the toolset, which it seems like I won't be able to do on the 360. I wish that there was a toolset for the 360 version. That would make this so much easier.

If I bought this for 360, it would not fit on my HD

This crossplatform DLC thing confuses me... I want to ask - If I'll buy UK PS3 version of DAO, can I use DLC from Russian PS Store for it? (I'm from Russia). Because UK and Russian are in same region - 2. And I want to have original voice and text (Russian localization is awful IMO).

I'm pretty mad about this... I bought DA through Steam for my computer, and it plays great. Sometimes I have to turn down some of the visual settings to get good framerate, but overall it is an excellent game that is personally responsible for a huge drop in my GPA.
I liked my game so much that I told my girlfriend, and she (luckily) rented it for the PS3. Frankly... It is a terrible port. Playing the Dalish opening had characters teleporting during cut scenes, the sound effects annoying grating on the ears, and nearly any piece of scenery on the farthest 10 %  of the left and right sides of the screen disappearing because of wonky octree terrain optimization. It just kinda pisses me off. On PC the game is beautiful, near perfect in my opinion, but on the PS3 its just a cheap port.
Not to be entirely negative, as it is still playable on the PS3, but in could have been so much better.

I got it both for PS3 and PC. Bought it first on PS3. I didn't think it was a bad port. The graphics are pretty good IMO on the PS3. The UI takes a bit to get use to though. I did not like being limited to 6 hot keys on the console though, but its a great way to make use of the pause. Another plus is you can play this sprawled out on the floor, couch, bed or wherever your HDTV is. I personally had no problem downloading, installing, and using any DLC for this game or any other game. Only downside I see on the console lack of community mod support and the use of the toolset.

A few weeks later bought the PC version. I prefer it over the console version, you can adjust the settings graphic wise, you get access to the toolset and can use mods for it if you wished. Also the UI too me is a lot cleaner looking than a console. I also like the epxandable hot bar :)
